Saturday 21st July saw many branches out and about, with stalls and Action Days. Ceri Jayes’ report is here, and we continue with the report from Steve Grimes, UKIP Bath and North-East Somerset Branch:
Today (Saturday 21st July) we held our first proper branch action day in Bath & North East Somerset since 23rd June 2016. We were out in force in Midsomer Norton High Street meeting local shoppers. We received a very warm reaction from local people. Much better than we have ever had before actually! The overwhelming message was “Welcome back; where have you been; we’ve missed you, and we wanted to vote for you in 2017!! Lots of shoppers found time to stop and engage with us. Our stock of Brexit bags was enthusiastically snapped up. We received an absolutely positive, very friendly response and we will be out again soon. Also received strong support from surrounding branches and from many non-member local UKIP “supporters” who provided the critical mass we needed to make this event a success.
