The Europhile group – Devon for Europe – is holding a SW regional anti-Brexit march & rally in Exeter city centre on Saturday 24th March 2018, commencing at midday.
The Euro-fanatic local Labour MP Ben Bradshaw, will be speaking at the rally “against a hard Tory Brexit shambles”.
This is an ideal opportunity for Brexiteers from all parties & none, to unite together to provide a peaceful, but forceful pro-Brexit counter demonstration.
Here is the announcement of that Europhile Group:

Alison Sheridan, Chair of the Exeter branch, adds:
I would like to thank you for all your help at the March and Rally for Europe in Exeter on Saturday. The behaviour of your Rent-a-yob mob really galvanised people into showing their support for the EU and gave a huge boost to our group’s numbers. A surprising number explicitly mentioned the bully-boy tactics, the barracking and attempts to drown out our speakers as a factor in their decision to join our group. One elderly couple actually described them as “no better than football hooligans”.
Those of us on the sign-up stall were told, over and over again, that the difference between the marchers, who smiled at passers-by and seemed good-natured and respectful and your ‘supporters’, who glared at people as they walked past was very marked. I had started to believe that Brexshit Britain, with its hate, lies and xenophobia, meant that the traditional British values of tolerance and fairness had been lost; it’s nice to know that the people of Exeter, at least, don’t approve of thuggish behaviour and refuse to be intimidated by it.
It takes place on 24 the March.
Rob, I am confused. Has this event already taken place, or is it going to happen on Saturday 24th March?
Hope it went well!
