Word has reached us at UKIP Daily that the Isle of Wight branch in conjunction with local brewers, Goddards, are releasing, on a limited basis, ‘EU Freedom Ale’ a 4% bitter.
From what we have been able to gather the beer has the blessing of Nigel Farage and is intended to be a fundraising effort by the branch. “Its a bit of fun for Christmas,” said a source on the Island, “but it does have a serious message. The branches are not flush with cash and we have to find the money to fight a number of campaigns. By selling a beer, and using the local media in a savvy fashion we hope to broaden our message and raise a few quid. The Ale will be launched officially on Saturday 7th in Newport with Diane James and Nigel Jones coming to assist in the festivities”.
UKIP Daily understand that the best person to contact regarding the beer is our very own Political Editor and Island Parliamentary Candidate , Iain McKie at iain@iainmckie.co.uk

Could be onto a real winner there. I’d drink to that. Might have to get some onto the mainland. Question is, could they keep up with demand?
