Whatever the result, to all who have worked so tirelessly and selflessly, & taken flak, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

One by-election in the right Labour seat and Paul Nuttall could be in Parliament. Labour is close to the tipping point.

Suzanne Evans, one of Ukip's most prominent public figures, took just 1.2% more than an implausible small-fry. Very poor performance https://t.co/lRRXccJiUX

The Bootle Bruiser has done it !!
One of the most important things he said was that FGM, forced marriage and courts in which a woman’s word is half the value of a man’s have no place in 21st century Britain. As he rightly pointed out, these are issues the mainstream parties skirt around or try to ignore altogether.
Go for it, Paul, most Ukippers are behind you 100% on these un-British and shameful practices. Of course, they had no place in 20thC or 19thC Britain either; in fact we’d have to back to the 18thC for forced marriages and the other vile things didn’t happen at all in mainstream society in this country.
Let’s see some convictions for barbaric behaviour toward women brought to Britain by immigrants, and that should have been wiped out long ago by the laws and punishments that already exist. All sharia courts to be outlawed – there is only one British law and if you don’t want to live under it, go elsewhere.
Time to wipe out the stain and shame of these things going on in OUR country.
First congratulations to Paul Nuttall on his election as the new UKIP leader.
However a new leader is not the only thing needed.
A close investigation of the results (2010/2015) in the seats from Newcastle down through NEast, West and South Yorks to North Lancs down to North West Midlands show a different position. i wrote a paper on this for the party and it shows the problem is not just selecting a leader who may appeal to Labour voters more but changing the UKIP message as there is a strong suggestion we may have reached a high water mark in these areas that we now wish to target. We have mined all the Conservative votes we are going to get in the North and one of the first questions that will need to answer is how we appeal to those Labour voters who did not vote for us in 2015 and keep voters who did vote for us. If any one wishes to see the figures that back up these comments please feel free to ask for them
Congratulations to Paul on his impressive win.
I hope we all realise that if the right strategic aim of going for the patriotic Labour vote is to be achieved then we really do have to adopt economic policies which show we mean what we say. If the Thatcherite tendency in UKIP continues to prevail then working class people will see through it, and we will not succeed.
The essential balance is to re-assure middle earners that their true interests – and the country’s – is not with the rich but with their less fortunate countrymen.
Are we up to this? Let us hope so, but we must not shirk the fight to get these fundamentals accepted and acted upon within the Party.
Delighted at the result and the wise first appointments. After the disaster of the last few months our time has come. Go for it Paul !
UKIP’s next mission after wrecking the Lib.Dems & the eu:
D-E-S-T-R-O-Y T-H-E L-A-B-O-U-R P-A-R-T-Y.
You’ve been given the Captain’s arm-band Nuttall, & a lot of people have put their trust in you, don’t let them down.
