Martin Costello sent this appeal to members – for your diaries:
Dear all,
With the on-going Brexit betrayal that has subsequently caused an explosion in membership, it is with great excitement and pleasure I can announce that the Devizes branch has been reinstated.
An EGM shall take place at The Bear Hotel (Devizes) on Wednesday 17th October 2018 to elect the following positions:
- Chairman;
- Deputy Chairman;
- Secretary.
If you are interested an any of these positions, please contact myself for more information. To get an idea of numbers attending, please let Krishnakali (cc’ed in the email) know your intention of attending. Please also bring your current membership card
On another note, Swindon shall be holding a stall in the town centre on Saturday 6th October (1030am) to hand out 1200 Brexit bags we have obtained. If you can help out or are looking to ‘learn the ropes’ for your own stall, please get in touch.
With all the pro-EU groups and media propaganda spewing out, Brexit is in a very precarious position currently so it is all hands to the pumps. Your country needs YOU!
Yours Sincerely,
Martin Costello, UKIP Wiltshire Chairman https://www.facebook.com/MartinCostelloMBGA/
From Ceri Jayes comes this appeal:
Hi everybody –
The link to this survey was forwarded to me by one of my YI members. I think that everyone in UKIP should let those Nicky Morgan, Tulip Siddiq and Christine Jardine know what we think don’t you? They may well not listen but I think
it’s important that lots of UKIP voices fill it in so they can hear our side of the argument. It doesn’t take long, 5 minutes tops:

Respectfully, Ceri Jayes, UKIP Totnes
Finally, our contributor Janice North sent in these photos of adverts by Leave means Leave in the Evening Standard of two days ago and in today’s Daily Mail:
and
‘Leave means Leave’ is not party-political, as the list of speakers shows.
Absolutely superb news.
Let’s have more branches re-opening and more branches informing us of membership increases.
Bryan, are we going to see a new branch where you live where it doesn’t rain and where the long grass is brown and yellow…..
Colin,
We wouldn’t need long grass to hide in or kick problems in to.
We’d all have backbones and a desire for unity, equality and one law for all.
The Remain Establishment has issued you a challenge via Tommy Robinson.
Watch the link Colin. You’re Tommy too but are too frightened to admit it.

In a democracy we are all free to believe what we want to believe in without forced against our will. So you wish to believe in TR which is your democratic right to do so, whereas I don’t, which is also my democratic right. You obviously have difficulty in divorcing your feelings about the establishment (whoever they are) and Remain. Remain in what may I ask, but I assume you mean the EU. However what has that subject got to to do with the Tommy Robinson issue. You are never in a month of Sundays going to get everybody united under any one cause, its just impossible. However I too believe in equality and one law for all, and by and large that is what we have. One last thing I do have a backbone and stick rigidly to my views, but am not frightened to admit or deny anything. Now are you going to start a branch where you live whether it be near long grass or not. Please no more cryptic answers. Just stick to simple to understand English. Oh, by the way you need to do some reading up. Station X was the Bletchley Park ‘listening in’ post during WW2 and SOE was the Special Operations Executive responsible for ‘setting Europe ablaze’ as Winston Churchill once put it.
