St George’s Day Event with Speakers

 

The event will take place at the ‘Royal India’ Restaurant, 7 Endell Street, Covent Garden, on Monday 23rd April from 6:45pm with speeches starting at 7pm. We will enjoy an Indian buffet with wine, a cash bar, and a raffle.

Prof. Patrick Minford CBE, ‘Leave Means Leave’ Co-Chairman John Longworth, UKIP Leader Gerard Batten MEP, Deputy Chairwoman Margot Parker MEP, Agriculture Spokesman Stuart Agnew MEP, and Education Spokesman David Kurten AM.

Pricing

The price for the buffet (which includes coffee, tea and wine) is £30 per person. Raffle tickets are £10 for 1, £20 for 3. All profits from the buffet and the raffle will go to UKIP HQ.

Professor Patrick Minford

A leading pro-Brexit economist and author of many books including ‘Should Britain Leave the EU?’ (2nd edition, 2015) and more than 200 articles and contributions to books, Patrick Minford is Professor of Applied Economics at Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University and was formerly Professor of Applied Economics, University of Liverpool from 1976 to 1997.

John Longworth

Co-Chairman of ‘Leave Means Leave’, a lobby group that promotes a hard Brexit and indeed a tireless campaigner for Brexit, John Longworth (see here) was Director-General of the British Chambers of Commerce from 2011 until March 2016 when he departed after breaking with the organisation’s line on Brexit. A business consultant, he has also served on the boards of ADA, Tesco’s and other companies.
