The next meeting of the Bruges Group will be on Thursday 18th June 2015 at 3:40PM for a 4:00PM start, the topic being “The Future of the Euro”. The speaker will be Professor Bernd Lucke MEP, who is the founder and leader of the Alternative for Germany (Alternative für Deutschland) political party which opposes the euro. He is also a respected economist. He has begun to change German politics with the foundation of the Alternative for Germany party.
In the format of an address and question time, he will contend that the Single Currency is harming the economy, giving a very interesting perspective on the crisis in the eurozone.
