UKIP NORTH DEVON – EVENT
Wednesday 1st August
UKIP North Devon have booked a stand at the North Devon Show which takes place on Wednesday, 1st August. Torridge and West Devon branch have supported us in this and there will be members from both branches distributing leaflets and spreading the word.
The address is “The Showground, Umberleigh Barton Farm, Umberleigh, Devon, EX37 9DX“. The North Devon Show was “rained off” last year but it is a splendid event in its own right and a good day out for any who might be inclined to come.
Please pass details of this event to your members and supporters.

PRESS RELEASE FROM UKIP GLOUCESTERSHIRE
UKIP Stroud have re-adopted Stonehouse resident Glen Gogerly as their Parliamentary Candidate for the Stroud Constituency.
Mr Gogerly is well known in the Five Valleys and represented the Eurosceptic party in last year’s General Election.
Mr Gogerly commented : ” Events are showing that our predictions are sadly coming true. Theresa May and the Conservatives never had any intention of fully implementing the decision to Leave taken at the ballot box by a majority of the British people in the 2016 EU Referendum.
At the next General Election the only party standing 100% for Brexit in Stroud will be UKIP. A vote for the Conservatives, Labour, the LibDems or the Greens will be a vote for Remain.
I call upon all Leave voters in the Stroud Constituency, whichever party they may have previously supported, to back me and to help me back Britain and ensure that their will, as expressed in the EU Referendum, is implemented in full. Thank you.”

Completely of topic in a way….it has been reported that the Emir of Qatar is coming on an official visit, you know, red carpet etc but no demonstration by our usual suspects….maybe UKIP could just to show up the hypocrisy of the left
Good to hear that PPCs are being selected. You never know when TMay will call a General Election – it might just be this autumn, although if she looks at the polls she’ll realise she hasn’t got a hope of winning it then.
But she WILL call a GE in the future even though we’re not supposed to have one until 2022, and we need to be ready to fight, with PPCs selected and vetted, campaign literature in draft form and canvassers ready for action.
I’ve long believed that Theresa May fully intended to lose the 2017 election, and she would also want to lose the next one, so if anything the latest polls might give her some hope.
I don’t believe she tried to lose the last election Stuart. She’s too keen on power. She was lazy last time, relying on the polls and thinking she didn’t need to do anything, and seriously misjudged it. She likes the trappings associated with being Prime Minister and I don’t think she’ll want to lose the next one either.
