Our peacocking peacocks have come back to work this week. Their first ‘act’ was to take their wrecking ball to our economy and indeed society. Of course, we only were able to learn about one of the most infamous items in this bill thanks to the alt media. I am referring to the fact that ‘energy’ people can now invade our homes, ‘legally’ and by force, to install smartmeters which, as we’ve said for such a long time, are able to switch off our electricity when there’s ‘need’.
Here, for the record, is the government page: “Energy Bill [HL] – Government Bill – Originated in the House of Lords, Session 2022-23”. Not only is the title long, the text – you can pull up the pdf – is long as well. Did you know that the Bill ‘originated’ in the HoL? I didn’t …
I am sure however that you know by now that, with the exception of 19 Tories, the government benches voted for this while the infamous ‘loyal opposition’ were too cowardly to vote against this Bill. They were also too cowardly to vote for this even though we all know that they will eagerly and happily implement this legislation. As a greeny I’d be outraged that Starmer and the rest didn’t support the Bill with all their might!
Also for the record, here is PJW’s video which is worth watching, and the report in the DS from the 7th September 2023. You might also enjoy reading this comment piece by Richard Littlejohn for the DM. The last ‘institution’ of our Nation is now crumbling, thanks to Parliament: an Englishman’s home is no longer a castle.
I’ll leave you with the usual compilation of the dead-tree-MSM: “Newspaper headlines: ‘Ministers ignored Raac advice’ and ‘Freddie returns’.”(link). The huge earthquake in Morocco occurred after the papers went to the printers: online editions have the advantage to bring breaking news.
And finally, there ‘s this: “Dominic Cummings set to create new party to replace the ‘rotten Tory horrorshow’ and aims to take power in 2028” (link) – someone has obviously been talking with Matt Goodman …!
That’s all I have for today. I’ve had to be as brief as possible because of my “health issues”. I hope there’s enough stuff though for you to talk about. Have a good weekend.
Trade deals are Stupid. Work it out.
So sorry to hear of your health issues Viv. If you need to take a break I am sure everyone would understand. You do more than most to expose the traiters within. The only way is mass disobedience. Maybe if they locked me up I would get better healthcare.
Most people seem to have forgotten or are unaware that the last labour government had plans that gave powers to local government ‘officials’ to enter your home for environmental/energy saving surveys and photograph each room. This legislation originated in the Labour led House of Lords, so why are people surprised at their plans. Going back as far as 1945 Winston Churchill was castgated for saying that socalists would need eventually some sort of ‘gestapo’ to enforce their laws, doesn’t look so far fetched now does it. Also something that is not gaining any publicity at the moment but will affect a great many people sooner rather than latter is the fact that there is to b e a ban on the sale of all I.C.E machinery, so say good bye to that lawn mower, partcularly the ride on variety , the chain saw and hedge cutters. Fits in nicely with the don’t cut your lawn or trim your hedges advice you may think.
Gas and electricity boards/companies have had the right to enter your home for seventy years to my knowledge.
It’s about possible dangerous occurrences (and to cut people off for non-payment).
It’s something you sign up to when the services are installed.
Years ago I was one of the “enterers” so I know this first hand.
It’s less frequent now as new installations have exterior meter boxes. (Saves having to break the door down.)
So, nothing new here, move along there.
H A, I have friends who have put padlocks on their meter boxes with a sign saying private property no trespassers, or something like that. They have no intention of complying. They will have to bring along some industrial bolt cutters. It may be a case of shoot first, ask questions later.
HA, only one thing to say and that’s..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Wake me when he’s gone away.
Well! The centre right is looking for a new leader after Farage, Tice et al. Is Cummings the new messiah?
From what I have seen of D Cummings and what I have read of his, without hesitation he gets my vote.
Yes, yes. it is very short notice, but the next election would be good. There is so much discontent at the moment, NOTB may finally start to rear its head. Cummings would have to move double dog quick Musky.
Yes there are pros and cons, but the extreme left Starmer party we don’t need, any more than we need the overseas Maharaja party – or the Nigerian woman who shall replace him. Four years of nationalisation, escalating taxation, and so forth we can all do without.
Debbie…………Tice a leader, are you kidding. He doesn’t know the first thing about leadership. With Nigel however, he was but is no longer interested and that shows to all and sundry. Reform UK is a total sham, nothing but. Cummings is right the Conservatives are indeed a horrorshow in every sense of the word and are now finished. They will struggle to get over the finish under Sunak who is as dire as they come. They have had a good innings and nothing lasts forever and are a spent force and will follow the old Liberal Party into obscurity where they deservedly belong. And if this new political party comes to fruition they will sweep up the former conservative vote and that of the present centre right. We are in desperate need of a new party of the right.
Nanny knows best.
Ross Clark’s The Denial, A satirical novel of climate change seems to be only a few years ahead of present reality.
“But always – do not forget this, Winston – always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face – for ever.” George Orwell, 1984.
We are getting very close to no longer having to imagine it, but to actually experiencing it. Orwell tried to warn us with more or less with everything he wrote.
This is only a step away from the jackboots barging into our home, holding us down and forcibly jabbing and literally stamping a boot in our faces in the process. We’re just a load of animals to be kicked around Cant find words.
The only thing that might stop it getting any worse is not civil disobedience now, its gone beyond that; but didn’t Solzhenitsyn describe prisoners in the gulag regretting that they hadn’t made a bloodbath of the thugs that came to round them up; which might have stopped them in their tracks…
mary, Winston Chrchill warned that socalists would need some form of gestapo to police their laws, We are well on the away along a variation of that path, perhaps some politicians should be reminded about what eventually happened in Romania and not to long ago,
“Our” government; truly the enemy within along with those who support or tacitly accept them and their unacceptable policies.
Well, actually it’s far worse than that Viv as Neill McCoy Ward explains here. As of Tuesday, councils will have the power to sentence those that fail to reduce their energy use, to a year in prison and or a fine of fifteen thousand pounds.
This is insane tyranny, I just don’t know what to say other than that I would actually be afraid to come back and visi tmy native country.
Get well soon Viv.
“WHAT ‘THEY’ JUST ANNOUNCED!!! INSANE!!!”

Flyer “I would actually be afraid to come back and visit my native country”. With respect, you sound rather smug . I suppose in a BRICS country it is different.
PS Hope you’re better soon Viv
mary – I’ve never been smug, there is nowhere in the world at the moment that you can escape this sh*t, it’s just that Britain is leading the way into the abyss.
I’m not smug just horrified.

Sorry
I’m not in a good mood today
Impotent rage I suppose
According to the Times newspaper and reported in the Stratford Herald. Tory Stratford on Avon M.P. Nadim Zahawi is acting as a middleman for the Barclay family to help them regain control of the Telegraph and the Sunday Telegraph and if successful they report he could become the groups Chairman.
