… coming home to roost

 

They’re at it again, the fear merchants in government and the MSM. I’ll describe two ‘fear items’ below, with some extremely interesting points that slipped through the net of the fear providers. They show that this green government, running on propaganda, is far more culpable than we  were told. Not that our MSM would ever say so outright.

Here’s today’s first ‘fear item’. It’s the announcement that ‘over 60,000 people could die’ this winter because of flu. This is based on a model, so ‘tis science even though it’s all hedged about with ‘coulds’ and ‘mights’:

“Public Health England research suggests that people who contract flu and Covid-19 simultaneously are more than twice as likely to die, when compared with someone with only Covid-19.” (link, paywalled)

Why people should contract both covid and flu simultaneously when the majority of Brits have been jabbed – well, don’t ask such inconvenient questions! Do savour the scientific explanation (my emphasis):

“There is also concern about the effectiveness of this year’s jabs, because the lack of flu last year made it harder for scientists to sample the virus and predict the dominant strains. Health chiefs said the measures introduced over the past 18 months to protect the country against coronavirus would now put the public at greater risk of flu.” (paywalled link)

All the warnings that lockdowns are undermining our natural immunity: puh, you must be a horrible anti-vaxxer to even think so! Instead, see the fabulous modelling exercise:

“A report from the Academy of Medical Sciences, published earlier this year, assessed how the triple threat of coronavirus, flu and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) might affect the NHS this winter. It found that hospital admissions and deaths from flu and RSV could be more than double those seen in a normal year, leading to as many as 60,000 flu deaths and 40,000 children in hospital with RSV.” (link)

What makes me hopping mad with fury is that RSV is mostly affecting children whose natural immunity has been so hugely damaged thanks to lockdowns, pingitis, mask-wearing and all the restrictions on sports and play outdoors. Even worse – these ‘health’ scaremongers know full well that there’s no vaccine against RSV. So how and why getting the nation flu-jabbed and covid booster-jabbed to prevent RSV in children is a total mystery to me.

But rest assured, the nudge unit has been hard at work. Expect a ‘jab campaign as never before because we plebs are stupid and uninformed:

“A recent survey of 3,000 people for ministers found that nearly one third (32 per cent) were unaware that flu and Covid-19 can circulate at the same time. A quarter (26 per cent) did not know that flu can be fatal and over half (55 per cent) underestimated the number of people who die from flu in an average year in England, which is around 11,000.  Almost one in ten (9 per cent) thought the Covid jab would protect them against flu.” (link)

So why haven’t our MSM, the government’s propaganda arm, not enlightened us already? They ‘enlightened us about covid well enough, didn’t they! Jabberitis and the reasons for jabberitis will dominate our fear-propaganda MSM, especially since the ubiquitous Professor Van Tam has told the nation that:

“For the first time we will have Covid-19 and flu co-circulating. We need to take this seriously and defend ourselves and the NHS by getting the annual flu jab and the Covid-19 booster when called.” (link, paywalled)

If “we” don’t – well there’ll sadly have to be more lockdowns, perhaps even another Christmas cancelled … so get ready to ‘save the NHS’ again. Not that Christmas will be particularly cheerful this year when we’re already being warned that the rising energy costs could  force manufacturers “to raise the cost of everything from bricks and chemicals to food and toilet rolls.” (link).

Well, a national lockdown would certainly help – think of all those public buildings, of government offices, theatres, museums and such not needing to be heated fit for human occupation and work! Think of all the electricity ‘saved’ when people don’t have to go to work! There’s worse: “It was claimed the UK would become more reliant on dirty coal to keep the lights on, just as it hosts a UN climate change conference” (link) – fancy that! I’m sure we’d rather freeze and sit in the dark than rely on ‘dirty coal’! 

There’s one other little gem which slipped out: “Industry chiefs said the switch to ‘greener’ petrol last month was a ‘contributory factor’ to the recent fuel crisis.” (link) – ‘green policies’, silently introduced while we weren’t looking, being occupied by jabs and holidays having an oh-so unforeseeable effect? Well I nevah! The details are amazing::

“Chairman of the Petrol Retailers Association Brian Madderson [..]told the Telegraph: ‘For weeks we had been emptying our tanks of E5, the old fuel, as fast as we could to get ready for E10. We had all run our petrol stocks down. So when the panic buying started, many of our members ran out pretty quickly. Then the shortage of HGV drivers meant we couldn’t get supplies quickly enough. I don’t blame the Government particularly but the E10 switchover clearly had an unintended consequence: we couldn’t cope with the surge in demand.’ (link)

No, dears, it’s not the HGV driver shortage ‘wot did it’. Repeating this excuse doesn’t make it more true. It’s the switch to this E10 ‘green’ petrol  which did it, and the fact that it can’t be used by all cars. Let’s also not wonder if there mightn’t have been a shortage of this bio-ethanol, allegedly produced mainly here in the UK. Let’s instead blame Putin – and, lo and behold, let’s blame China, with more reason:

“Britain’s gas crisis has its origins nine months ago and 5,000 miles away in the depths of the Chinese winter. The country experienced record-breaking low temperatures in the warmer south as well as in the north. In January Beijing recorded its lowest temperatures since the 1960s, sending demand for fuel surging.” (link, paywalled)

How is this even possible when the planet is allegedly the hottest it has been ‘since records …’? Is China on a different planet, perchance? Meanwhile, there are sweeping power cuts in China,

“ […]with local governments cutting power for upwards of 12 hours without notice. Factories that saw double-digit increases in output in August now operate only two days a week in some parts of the country, threatening the economic recovery from the pandemic.” (link, paywalled)

President Xi demands that coal, oil and gas be bought on the world market at whatever cost, China being

 “prepared to pay whatever it takes to keep warm the world’s largest population. The effect is to create a bidding war for fuel supplies, especially natural gas, that will drive up heating costs across the planet, from Shanghai to Sheffield.”  (link, paywalled)

Well, that’s certainly giving me a happy inner glow, to know that the poor Chinese people can keep warm this winter! But do see the ‘explanation’ for Xi being able to outbid everybody else::

“Unconstrained by democratic accountability, China can pay what is asked without too much concern about the market – unlike Britain, whose private energy companies are subject to a mandatory cap on how much they can charge. This is an auction in which Britain starts at a disadvantage.” (link, paywalled)

Dearie me – is The Times bemoaning the fact that Johnson ain’t Xi, and that we’re not -yet- like China? Neither The Times nor the rest of the MSM or indeed our Petrol Industry bosses are highlighting is that all of these crises are due to this government’s obsession with ‘green bovine excrement and with all those ‘world leaders’ trying to look god at that green jamboree next month. Nothing could emphasise the vast gulf between those green apostles and the rest of the world’s population.

I leave you with a thought our ‘health bosses’, intent on herding us into getting more jabs, should ponder: sitting in cold homes and offices – cold because of ‘energy crisis’ thanks to green crap – will surely make more people succumb to flu, covid, RSV and whatever other colds, coughs and sniffles cropping up in autumn as usual, not least because our natural immunity has been weakened thanks to lockdowns. So shouldn’t Van Tam demand that homes be heated properly, that people should get financial support to afford heating their homes – in order to save yon Sacred Cow?

Or is it the aim of this government that the NHS with all its accretions will be the one and only place in the UK which will be warm?
