It’s definitely the silly season. A quick scan of the headlines in today’s papers show this perfectly. After having had a good giggle, I noted that there is one single thread which connects them all. According to the ‘experts’ called upon by MSM, we’re now living in an age where everything is ‘a crisis’, a ‘real crisis’, dontcha know. Don’t expect the MSM to connect the dots or ask inconvenient questions of those ‘experts’. That is simply not to be countenanced.
Before I delve into the ‘news’ from the NHS, newly sanctified by the Queen who decorated the whole lot – not just the frontline staff – by giving them the George Cross (here’s a non-paywalled report in case you hadn’t heard), let me summarise the latest inanities produced by experts and duly reported by the credulous MSM writers.
Firstly, there’s the warning by the former head of MI6, that ‘abandoning Afghanistan’ would mean more terrorism from Al Quaeda. Let’s not quibble that times have changed and that the actual threat comes from ISIS – ‘experts’ know best and who could be more expert than the former head of MI6!
Clearly, it was totally unforeseeable that rehoming all troops, NATO, UK and especially US ones, might have consequences. President Biden has ordered this and there’s nothing the Pentagon or our military chiefs could do. Now look at what this former head of MI6 said next:
“Younger, [former head of MI6] who retired in September, also told [SKY] he was “very worried” Russia could exploit the crisis in Afghanistan to harm the UK and its allies.” (link, paywalled)
If my disbelief in the ‘wisdom of experts’ needed to be reinforced, this was it! Why would Russia ‘exploit’ this self-made ‘crisis’ in Afghanistan when they’d already burned their fingers in that place, to the extent that it led to the crashing down of the former Soviet empire? And why Russia – why not China? Would Peking not ‘exploit’ this crisis to ‘harm the UK and its allies’? How safe should we feel when even one of the ultimate experts, the former head of MI6, displays such glaring ignorance!
Staying with the military, other ‘experts’ have also been raising ‘concerns’. This time it’s about whales and dolphins:
“The Royal Navy has been accused of detonating explosives that make dolphins and whales go deaf despite having access to more environmentally friendly methods.” (link, paywalled)
Bad Royal Navy – bad bad bad! It doesn’t matter that their divers aren’t doing this for the sheer fun of it but because they’re disarming the mines and munitions still left behind by the Germans in WWII. It doesn’t matter that they are using new methods to reduce the sound of those under-water explosions.
Presumably this expert, Mr Danny Groves from the Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) charity, would prefer to leave all those dumped German bombs untouched unless the RN uses ‘less damaging methods of ordnance clearance’ (link, paywalled). But here’s the actual reason for the ‘expert wail’:
“As our allies in the fight against climate change, we should be looking to protect whales not destroy them,” he said.” (link, paywalled)
Now that the cold hands of the covid emperors are being slowly removed from their stranglehold on our necks, the next lot of ‘experts’ is already preparing for a new ‘empire’, their cold hands ready to replace those of the covid emperors. It’s the ‘green climate whatever’ ‘warriors’ flexing their muscles. After all, if ‘in the name of covid’ we were happy with the destruction of most of our lives, why would we resist if they now come for the rest of it!
Here’s another ‘expert’, demanding more money for a ‘crisis which is real’. It’s about extending the South Downs National Park. That’s lovely, who wouldn’t support this, even though they ‘only’ need “£100 million to develop land where plants and animals can flourish.” (link, paywalled) – ah, there’s nice! Who wouldn’t support extending that National Park, currently managing 25% of the South Downs. Why not cheerfully abandon another 32,000 acres of farmland to provide ‘a sanctuary for wildlife’.
We don’t need all that farmland to feed the nation, ever growing thanks to migrants. We can import food, can’t we – and never mind the huge CO2 footprint such imports would produce. Joint-up thinking in green climate circles? Are you ‘aving a larf or what! Listen to the expert instead:
“Andrew Lee, an ecologist who heads countryside policy and management at the park, said: “The biodiversity crisis is real and it’s happening before our eyes, but the good news is it’s not too late to turn the tide of wildlife loss.” (link, paywalled)
Gawd – “we” really need another ‘real’ crisis, proclaimed just in time for the coming ‘green Carrie policies’, to strangle us. Covid, still hanging around, wasn’t bad enough – now ‘experts’ are already lining up for the next ’crisis’ which will cost us more of our money. Yes, we’re being prepared for serfdom, serving NGOs and government-sanctioned ‘experts’ who can’t think further than the tip of their noses.
And so to the newly decorated ‘Sacred Cow’. Presumably the GPs who were generally AWOL and not to be seen will also receive this decoration. It gives a whole new meaning to the quip ‘they also serve who only stand and wait’ …
It’s not sufficient though: “the staff” wants a pay rise as well. Moreover – surely only coincidental! – there’s a report in The Times that many senior doctors plan to retire in the near future (link, paywalled). This is because more and more doctors and trainee doctors want to work part-time.
Here’s the president of the Royal College of Physicians – we’ve not heard much from that expert entity during the past covid months:
“A cultural shift towards flexible working means that the NHS must “find a way to make that happen” to retain staff, Andrew Goddard, the college’s president, said. He said that the health service was in a Catch-22 situation, in which current staff shortages meant that requests to go part-time were difficult to grant.” (link, paywalled)
After calling for more places for students to study medicine, students who in their majority plan to work part time only; after the usual ‘expert’ wail about the ageing population needing more doctors because of their ‘complex needs’ comes the customary demand for:
“more funding for social care and action to address health inequalities to reduce demand on the NHS. Two fifths of doctors were yet to revert to their original working pattern after the pandemic, the survey found. More than half worked from home at least some of the time. More than two thirds said working from home had improved their work-life balance.” (link, paywalled)
This expert and the reporters don’t even notice that they’re shamelessly calling for more money from us at the same time as telling us that they’re happy not to work, not to be there for us when we become ill.
Do we need more proof that the newly decorated ‘sacred cow’ regards us patients as nuisance, disturbing their cosy set-up? Their lives would be so easy if there were no elderly with ‘complex needs’! Just look at the delta covid stats: according to the ONS ‘the infection rate for people aged 16-24 is 14 times that for the over 70s (link, paywalled) – but they’re not in hospital and thus make no extra work for NHS staff.
It’s all thanks to vaccination, see, and it must come as a huge relief to all the stressed, now decorated, NHS staff. Clearly, if the whole nation were ‘young’, all doctors could work part-time on nice salaries. So stop becoming old and don’t ever think of falling ill: you’re all needed to pay for the NHS!
One way or another the Westminster cabal will never release their stranglehold on us plebs. We must stay healthy, we must keep working to provide for all those experts, to avert all those ‘real crises’ and provide the dosh to keep those new feudal overlords in their cushy lives.
It’s time to warn the cabal to keep their sticky ‘expert’ fingers out of our wallets. After all, if we stop working, if we stop paying taxes – who’ll pay for their nonsense?
KBO!

Sage are behavioural professionals not disease specialists and no communist should ever be allowed near public office Mitchie, Corbyn McDonnell etc it’s Time to remove Boris Johnson from office Hancock has gone now for Johnson
In even slightly technological societies there will be experts.
Who do you suppose feeds you, heats your home, provides you with all the consumer product we all use?
Why experts of course.
Without experts we would be back in the stone age.
The equivalent of “defunding the police”. We all know what that would lead to.
ANARCHY!
I wonder whether Boris and co can make fire by rubbing the sticks together, or was it stones, flints?
I should have said the EXPERTS CHOSEN by Boris and co. Do they know how to make fire?
As usual Viv. You are quite right in what you say.
The Green Climate Whatever Warriors are almost certainly the next target for I.D. to aim at. The Climate Scam is threatening us in many ways. Our energy supplies and our food supplies for example.
It’s not stupidity that prevents the warriors joining up the dots, its where the funding comes from.
“…We don’t need all that farmland to feed the nation…”
Oh dear! That one keeps cropping up, doesn’t it.
It goes back to 1846 and the repeal of the Corn Laws. ( that’s even before my time) The idea was that “The Great British Public” must have access to cheap food. That translates into, “The price of wheat is too high, therefore bread is too dear and as a result industrial wages are too high, thus diminishing the profits of the wealthy factory and mill owners.”
The effects on the rural economy were dire, but that’s all right, they are only peasants, they can move into the towns and work in one of the factories,or mills… and British Agriculture went into a sharp decline.
My late mother lived to see “Set aside”. She said that it was totally immoral. That twice in her lifetime this nation had been brought to the very brink of defeat because agriculture had been DELIBERATELY pushed into the background.( unfriendly people were sinking the ships that were bringing the food, much of which we should have been producing ourselves.
Somewhere I have a collection of quotes from Hansard.(I’m not sure where I filed it) Far too many Oh-so-Honourable MPs were saying that “… we are a wealthy Nation. We can afford to buy our food from anywhere (so long as it’s cheap)” Well,we are not wealthy and we cannot afford to borrow the money to buy that which we can produve for ourselves…
Post FMD we were subjected to Environmental Schemes ( they were entirely voluntary…Oh yeah!) to protect the environment from the very people and their livestock that created it. The first casualty: the Ring Ouzel. In three years they had gone. A gentleman from the RSPB explained that we had taken so many sheep off the fells (to save the environment) that we had reverted to “Wall to Wall” rough grass and that the birds could not tolerate it. (the sheep didn’t reckon much of it either)
So much for “experts”
Well said Richard Mawdsley. Quite apart from the danger of relying on imports for food when they can be so easily disrupted, there is the matter of our balance of trade. Our economy is healthy to the extent that exports exceed imports. While we were in the EU we were helping them to the extent that they were exporting more to us than us to them. Our exports were to countries outside of the EU, where we faced whatever barriers the EU wished to impose.
As to set aside and other so called ‘save the wildlife’ schemes they’ve virtually all had corrupt, hidden motives. You are quite correct. It is farming, over the many centuries, that created the environment, that wildlife has found most amenable.
Sadly, the Queen now only does what she is told to do! The ‘Sacred Cow’ has now been gilded like the golden idol created in the Ten Commandments! Where is Moses when you need him?
Why is it that whenever the Establishment wants to divert our attention they fall back on the old chestnut “Reds under the bed!” I would have thought that only us oldies would remember that ploy being enacted with such gusto some 40 odd years ago!! `the younger generations wouldnt even have been taught about the habits of the old USSR!!! I would have thought that we are more in danger of the “resident Reds under the bed” in Britain (Susan Michie being a case in point!) and their collusion with the Reds in China!
What frightens me more than anything at present is the total acceptance of the ‘Green Blob’ by the generations born in the seventies and upwards! Most of them seem to feel that ripping out our gas boilers and putting in heat pumps will save the planet! When you try to explain (ever so gently) that we are more likely to freeze to death because of the ‘green’ zeal you just get stares of incomprehension!!!
“Experts’!!! ………what experts?
Not sure if I came across this on ID or elsewhere but well worth watching in full even at well over an hour:
Oh dear. Another clap for the sacred cow tonight. And there I was thinking the NHS was clapped out.
BTW, sacred is an anagram of scared, for what it is worth,
Unrelated, there was a vignette last night that was quite telling, that I would like to pass on.
I never thought ever to see Dr Jay Bhattacharya, author of The Great Barrington Declaration, on British TV. Far too knowledgeable and sensible. But, Good Lord, there he was last night on GBNews’ Uncancelled. Wonderful. And the sofa commenters revealed their true colours. Richard Power-Sayeed is the worst kind of supercilious, self-righteous leftie, with a permanent little petulant frown, who cannot open his mouth without dribbling regulation leftist tropes. You know what he will say before he speaks. So I’ll ignorance him. Why he is there I don’t know. Tom Harwood, though, is presented as the voice of moderation, yet he lost it – quite against Andrew Neil’s declared ethics for GBN presenters – shouting at and interrupting Dr Jay on numerous occasions. It was almost like he had been told not to let the man reveal any truths. And he was so ill-informed, trying to contradict Dr Jay by quoting fear propaganda straight out of MSM. His mask has well and truly slipped. Dominique Samuels, young black political commentator, on the other hand, is growing by the week. Facts at her fingertips and clear cogent rebuttals of the others, and supporting Dr Jay, was warming to behold. What a tonic and slap in the face for the racial-division-monger-industry.
It shurely (sic) cannot be a coincidence that on the 2nd July PJHLAW sent a 24 page outline of case to Sir Simon Stevens (head of NHS) claiming that the NHS had acted unlawfully in as much as;
1. The vaccine programme has been rolled out in breach of the legal requirements for clinicians to obtain the free and informed consent of those being vaccinated.
2. That the requirement to wear face coverings in an NHS setting is in breach of common law obligations not to cause harm and breaches statutory obligations in relation to provision of PPE
these charges were also laid on;
1. HM Government.
2. The Executive Board of the NHS.
3. SAGE.
4. Senior public office holders within the civil service.
5. The Executive Board of the MHRA.
and now on the 5th July Lizzie awards the NHS the George Cross!

Thats a bit of good news for a change Butties. Thanks for posting!
Frederica not ‘Fre’
Wow. That letter is huge both in the wealth of facts (except on everything to do with the ‘vaccines’ themselves) finally collated in one place, and in import for all the culpable people. If it is responsible for the sudden uncharacteristic change of tone and requirements from government, that alone is a massive result in itself. But is it too much to hope that it is the beginning of the reckoning for the ‘useful idiot’ purveyors of the scam, as predicted by Dr Vernon Coleman and others. That is, assuming we even still have the rule of law in this country. It will not touch the overarching players of the WEF and Gates agendas, but we have to hope it will bring it to a halt in this country at least.
They’ve all got escape routes through committees.
Argentina is nice this time of year
