Is this what “de-colonised science” might look like?

Isn’t it wonderful how our covid government and their helpers in the MSM have ‘discovered’ the ‘variant of concern’! Isn’t ‘covid science’ wonderful! It’s just in time to enable them to take back the ‘no more lockdowns after this’ diktat from the covid PM. This, as you recall, was the famous ‘data not dates’ speech where June 21st was hailed as the day when we might chuck all those muzzles, those covid ‘rules’.

Some of the easing of restrictions allowed to take place this coming Monday are still going to go ahead, but the MSM are again turning up the Fear&Hysteria campaign with reports that BJ is ‘sending in the Army’. Strangely enough, all those ‘we must follow the science’ preachers in our MSM and indeed government seem to be extremely relaxed about the woke programmes in our universities, aimed at dismantling the foundations of science. More on that below.

First, a look at the latest ‘covid campaign’, kicked off by SAGE and lapped up by the MSM. I wonder though if the Army will ‘surge test’ not just in those Northern hotspots like Bolton but also in London, that other hotspot. We’ll wait with bated breath for those photos. However, it soon becomes clear that it’s not about testing, it’s about getting more people to take up the jab:

“[Johnson] also announced plans to send the Army to hotspots hit hardest by the Indian variant, called B1.617.2, to support local leaders with a surge vaccination and testing plan. Soldiers will man mobile testing units and hand out tests on the street. In Bolton and Blackburn, two of the areas with particularly high rates of the variant, a push to accelerate the take-up of the vaccine among eligible cohorts will begin, with plans including longer opening hours at jab sites.” (paywalled link)

It must be really bad, mustn’t it, when the Army is going to ‘surge’ from door-to-door, to do ‘surge testing’ and apparently now ‘surge vaccination’! This is an image which supports our suspicion that BJ will row back from lifting all Lockdown restrictions. After all, SAGE is already warning about our ever-so beloved ‘Sacred Cow’ becoming overwhelmed again. First, see this:

“The prime minister said the spread of the variant could cause “significant disruption” to the plan for opening up England and that the nation faced “hard choices”. At a Downing Street briefing, he said he wanted to “level with” the public that the variant could delay plans to lift restrictions by June 21. Unlocking might have to be thrown into reverse and he pledged to do “whatever it takes to keep the public safe”.” (link, paywalled)

Aat the same time yet another ‘covid’ entity met behind closed doors. It’s the ‘Variant Technical Group, chaired by PHE’s ‘National Covid-19 Incident Director’ – gawd, what a title! Their concerns will certainly influence the ‘hard choices’ BJ will be making. The Times informs us that geneticists and epidemiologists were part of that group. Did no actual clinicians take part? We don’t know.

Still, they were very scientific, sequencing the DNA of those ‘variants of concern’ and finding out that this was spreading ‘exponentially’. No, ‘Our NHS’ isn’t overwhelmed as of yet – we’d surely been presented with photos of ambulances queuing up, of hospital corridors overflowing. They found that:

“From the DNA sequencing of new cases emerging there was a good chance, they thought, that it spread more rapidly than the Kent variant. If that was the case they had modelling that showed the NHS could yet again be overwhelmed — even if the vaccine worked just as well. All this implied that the road map might need to be delayed, just as Johnson was suggesting it was full steam ahead.” (link, paywalled)

And there it is: their models demonstrate that the NHS will be overwhelmed, regardless of mass vaccination. The usual suspects rushed to support the covid science:

“SAGE issued a dire warning tonight that the Indian Covid variant could put 10,000 in hospital a day within months, putting the end of lockdown in peril, and leading experts to back regional vaccine surges. Government scientists also suggested it could lead to up to a thousands deaths a day by the summer, admitting there is a ‘realistic possibility’ it is far more transmissible than the Kent strain.” (link)

The strangest statement came form one of the SAGE subgroups, SPI-M. They said that lifting lockdowns on Midsummer Day “could soon lead to widespread hospitalisations because ‘there are still too few adults vaccinated’ to stop its progress.” (link). Say what? Too few ‘adults’ have been vaccinated? Are the over-60s not adults? I can’t help but think that the covid emperors, SAGE at the front, are clearly concerned with achieving mandatory vaccination for all.

Before I address the question of ‘science’, I highly recommend you watch this video if you haven’t done so already. It’s an interview by Tucker Carlson of a top US clinician. The points he raises are irrefutable and, yes, shocking. Do watch it! Clearly, proper medical practice has been undermined by the rush to vaccinate and the mandatory use of PCR-Tests.

By now all who have been following the reports published in Lockdown Sceptics know about PCR testing and the false positive results. Meanwhile, the WHO has retracted their advice about PCR testing and warns about doing this at the high cycling rates they recommended at the start of the outbreak (link). This puts a different complexion on the ‘test surge’ and the warnings by those modelers who are occupying the olympian heights of ‘science’ at the moment.

It’s time to compare and contrast this reverence for ‘science’ displayed not just by the covidians but by the climate change extremist with the latest proposals to demolish the basis of science as we know it, because: “woke”! Not much was made of the report that Sheffield Uni is now ‘de-colonising’ biology:

“According to Sheffield’s decolonised curriculum, Mr Darwin “believed that his renowned theory of natural selection justified the view that the white race was superior to others, and used his theory of sexual selection to justify why women were clearly inferior to men.” It says his voyage on HMS Beagle, when he collected plant and animal samples, was to map colonies.” (paywalled link)

This follows the steps by that same ‘University’ to ‘diversify’ their engineering degrees by demanding that Sir Isaac Newton’s rule of gravity should be put into the context of his  being a ‘potential beneficiary of colonial-era activity’, whatever that is supposed to mean. Also included are James Watson, one of the discoverer of DNA and even Carl Linnaeus, the Swedish botanist. His classification scheme is the basis for our modern biology, ‘covid research’ included.

But even that isn’t sufficient. The latest ‘de-colonising’ effort comes from Oxford University:

“Oxford University has suggested imperial measurements should be “decolonised” over links to the British Empire. The mile, inch, yard, pound and ounce are “tied deeply to the idea of the Empire” and their presence in the curriculum could change, decolonising plans by Oxford’s maths, physics and life sciences faculty suggest.”  (paywalled link)

It gets worse. According to the report in the DT undergraduates (!) will do research into making science ‘less Eurocentric’, drawing up proposals for lecturers to implement a ‘cultural shift’ in teaching:

“[…] so that Oxford students’ learning is broadened so they understand the “global historical and social context to scientific research”, and assess “historical work revising older narratives of scientific progress”.” (paywalled link)

Yes, that’s correct: undergraduates will tell lecturers how to teach them ‘woke’ science. After all, why would it matter that such teaching means they won’t be able to make use of the fundamental works of Darwin and Linnaeus which describe the world ‘as is’, which allows every scientist to understand what is being described and talked about! Who needs to understand Sir Isaac Newton – far too hard anyway – when it’s sufficient to rely on computers and on the modern ‘science popes’ using modelling and statistics which those undergraduates won’t be able to understand, never mind question!

After all, we have a scientifically illiterate PM who ‘follows the science’ – be it in regard to covid, be it in regard to green blobbery. He’s got the SAGEs, he’s got Greta – what could possibly go wrong! Is this  how our country will be able to compete with China where no such woke concerns are diluting their scientific and engineering efforts? 

Will this woke drive to de-colonise science end up by making us perfect colonies for China? They have ‘conquered’ covid already, haven’t they. They don’t worry about ‘climate extinction’. They are developing AI at a speed we can’t match. What could possibly go wrong when we only do ‘woke’ science.
