News from the Tory Party conference …
What a grim start to the week! The Tory conference started yesterday and the MSM have one theme only: ‘Truss must go’, because of serious back-stabbing by senior Tories. The print edition’s front pages (link) look as if some UK Propaganda Minister had given a command (link) and all chief editors followed. Moreover, since the ‘reason’ for the backstabbing is this tax reduction which those ‘senior’ Tories want to be scrapped, it looks as if the Tory Party is desperate to out-Labour Labour.
The two ‘senior Tories’ who have declared that Truss must go, after just one month in office, are a certain Mr Shapps and, what a surprise, that snake in the grass, Gove. I assume they’re not planning to cross the floor and join Starmer’s lot, so the question arises: have they already got lucrative ‘consultant’ jobs lined up for after the GE?
To round up the picture of desperation this government presents there’s a report on Steve Baker, fierce Brexiteer in a former life and now NI minister. The DT has a report under the headline:
“Steve Baker apologises to EU for ‘not always behaving’ during Brexit – Northern Ireland minister admits relationship between Britain and Ireland is ‘not where it should be’ and calls for ‘more humility” (paywalled link)
I didn’t read any further. After all, we’re only meant to scan the headlines … To me, this is proof enough that, once elevated from the back benches to become minister, politicians let their mandarins pull their strings. I cannot recall a faster ‘domestication’ of a Tory MP turned minister. Mind you, perhaps Baker was shown some torture instruments, like secret information of what the USA would do if we’re not following their demand. The sabotage of Nordstream 1 and 2 should still be fresh in ministers’ minds …
And so, as if to nudge us into accepting a Starmer government of ‘moar taxes’ – after all, even senior Tories believe taxes ought to stay high – the DT yesterday published an article by the man himself. The headline shows already that we’re now in the era of slogans supplanting reality. Starmer states:
“Liz Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng have driven our economy off a cliff – PM and Chancellor are wedded to a disastrous ideology, with the damage likely to be felt by working people for years to come” (paywalled link)
This headline is actually quite mild. In the text, Starmer, unafraid to display the deep-read Labour ideology – remember: ideology is bad when it’s the Tories, it’s good when it’s Labour – writes:
“I have listened to the ludicrous excuses trotted out by the Prime Minister and her remaining acolytes. The reality is simple and inarguable. They have crashed the economy. They did so by handing enormous, unfunded tax cuts to those who least need them. The reason people are now worried about their homes and their pensions is not because of Vladimir Putin’s illegal war. It is because the Chancellor has chosen to gift a totally unfunded £40,000 tax break to those earning £1 million a year.” (paywalled link)
This ideological sledgehammer is staggering. Never mind that this tax relief is only going to kick in next April – it’s ‘Tories help millionaires’ which will be the mood music for the next days and weeks. Here’s one other quote showing how Starmer and Labour will dominate the economic debate:
“Mortgages, pensions and family finances are not casino chips for a government intoxicated by dogma. There are many decent Conservative MPs who know this. My message to them is that Labour will work with anyone to ensure some semblance of economic sanity is restored.” (paywalled link)
The cheek of it! He clearly thinks that we have already forgotten Brown’s destruction of private pension plans – that was last century, so the young won’t remember anyway. His ‘offer’ to ‘decent conservatives’ is obviously bearing fruit, given the statements from Shapps and Gove. I wonder how many more ‘decent conservatives’ on the Tory backbenches will stand up and stab the backs of Truss and Kwarteng in the next few days at the Tory Conference.
Read this final quote from Starmer’s piece only after removing mugs, cups and tumblers from your vicinity – think of your walls and floors:
“The damage will be felt by the working people of this country for years to come. The next Labour government will do the painstaking work of fixing that wreckage – carefully and deliberately, the party of sound money acting in the interests of the whole country, not just a gilded few.” (paywalled link)
Yes, he really wrote that. It’s not tongue-in-cheek, he really believes that there are ‘gilded few’ who would also benefit from that tax reduction – e.g. those earning £50,000pa. He clearly hasn’t grasped that it’s ‘working people’ who pay those taxes, not his non-working ‘clientele’. Btw, there’s not a word bout how ‘immoral’ it is to reduce the 20% income tax for ‘working people’ on low incomes.
There’s not one word or sentence in that ‘essay’ pointing to the general dire economic situation in which other Western or indeed EU countries find themselves in. There’s not one sentence on the economic disaster created by covid lockdown policies. Well, he’d have been a hypocrit had he done so. After all, he and his Labour Party have not only supported these policies but have called for even stricter regulations.
Furthermore, there’s no coherent explanation given why four weeks of the Truss and Kwarteng regime drove the economy “over the cliff’. We’re led to believe that everything was fine until yon mini-budget. We’re told that Truss and Kwarteng, red in Tory tooth and claw, set out to crush ‘teh poor’ into the economic dirt, on ‘ideological’ purpose. The gas supply crisis which started last year already, even before the war in the Ukraine and the ensuing sanctions, isn’t mentioned.
One other point, or rather: person is missing in this Starmer piece: the previous PM Johnson. The Partygate scandal which occupied the HoC early this year was elevated not least by Labourites both in Parliament and by their fifth columnists in the MSM. Looking back, I wonder if this was just political happenstance or if some shadowy, powerful figures were working hard to remove BJ because he was, as the Tories acknowledged, ‘a vote winner’. He’s gone now and clearly not in the mood to support his supplanter – for the sake of the Party.
Better prepare for a Starmer government of financial geniuses which will look after ‘working people’ by raking in more of their and our money to pay for ‘the poor’. Better expect a Starmer government which will do as told by their Whitehall mandarin puppet masters, ‘Remain’ policies included. Happy days ahead, innit like.
When is Nigel Farage back on his GB News programme. His latest holiday replacement is absolutely dire as a presenter…
Err . . . . Far as I can tell nothing has actually ‘been cancelled’ has it?
I keep saying over and over again . Anything new or anything invented or any change, Costs in some coinage or other. So, GROWTH requires investment and investors. This outburst was pure childish destruction purely ridiculous spite. So, Lis’s abolishing of the 45 % was a significant part of the minibudget, in that it was intended to show international money could have a good home here, and we would do what was best for our country. It was in fact quite clever in that it got rid from our government of the Nastiness of Browns vindictive 45 %. I hope we never see such foolishness again. It is just evident that no-one remembers the 95 % tax of the labour government after the war, which instigated the flight of money and investment and all the up till then friendly investment and caused enormous financial turbulance that should have been temporary foolowed by rises. Their ignorance is deep.. All this without costing more than a comparatively tiny cost
So now the left, who understand nothing, our sillier Tory MPs. have stubbed their toes/.
There is a bunch of brain-washed losers, like Just Stop Oil whose slogan advertises their ignorance and the climate cretins, who really do understand nothing, least of all the fact that they are someone else’s useful idiots being played, but at the media, academic and political level ignorance is the last thing to blame. It is deliberate organised malevolence. They know exactly what they are doing and why and the common good is far from their motives.

I have never heard before Truss is a Schwab girl
By that I gather you imply that she was a ‘pupil’ at the Schwab academy.
I am not aware having attended a ‘conference’ for instance would confirm ‘membership’ or even adhesion.
But that’s me, we enthusiastic amateurs are usually the last to know what is the ‘proper truth’ in the greatbgame
To paraphrase Ms Huq. “… Liz Truss is a superficially white Conservative…”
Never let us forget that she is also one of Klaus Schwab’s girls… WE don’t matter. The best interests of the UK don’t matter.
She will be permitted to tinker here and there to give us the impression that she’s in charge and “doing something”, but that is an illusion. “Carbon Net Zero will continue until our economy is utterly trashed. Uncontrolled immigration will continue because that is part and parcel of “population replacement” which in turn is part of “The Geat Reset.”
Time to learn from my sheep. We must turn, run down and trample the hounds sent to harass us.
Correct – Trustless follows on from Doris in playing to the credulous fools in the centre Right gallery whilst all the while delivering the globalist WEF agenda. Time to put a ferret up the trouser leg of party establishment politics and join centre Right parties Right Now!
“look as if some UK Propaganda Minister had given a command and all chief editors followed.”
The media working to a script? Surely not.
https://www.bitchute.com/video/xsQKBqzIh4rx/
There was a similar compilation after COP 26, with leaders all over the world parroting ‘build back better’.
Johnson, as he said it, instinctively realised this was obvious. So he extemporised with ‘build back greener’, etc., I think, to save his embarrassment and quickly verbally distance himself from it, and from being seen to be one of the herd; it went horribly wrong of course, as he meandered to ‘build back in a more gender neutral way,’ I think it was.
But all this is hardly surprising as the globalist script is for western financial collapse and civil chaos and a recovering Britain would screw that up.
She is still prisoner to the establishment:
Full speed ahead on the Ukraine delusion
Review of Net Zero to be chaired by Chris Skidmore, who was responsible for introducing the plan for Net Zero to Parliament (under Treason May) in the first place.
Minister for women reinstated; how is it equality to have a special ministry for half the population?
Reconsidering sale of C4
Negotiate NI protocol/ not abrogate Art.16.
Ripping up green planning laws to allow MORE onshore wind farms; more vistas and vast acres despoiled. Compare that with a fracking site about the size of a football field that, after the initial drilling and capping chunters away quietly behind bushes and trees.
Planning to increase migrant numbers to Britain by loosening immigration rules.
But on energy and the economy, she has overturned their ‘wisdom’, and for that she must go.
There was a message from HO on my iPhone this morning.
Truss/Kwarsi had “got it and listened” and had rescinded the 45% cut in income tax.
Victory for Rishi who had originally “marked the card of Truss and had provided an agenda for Labour demolition job.
How now stands the Great Reset?, surely there is nothing to stop it now
What we are seeing is pure theatre staged for the masses who fail to see the rigged game of establishment politics.
The only thing the establishment parties fear is people turning away and joining challenger parties just as corporations fear people rejecting their products.
With all the evidence staring us right in the face that the game is rigged against us how can anyone can play along with this charade any longer I just don’t know.
What to do about challenger parties? Rig it again. Look what happened to UKIP. All down to the Tories
Helena……….well you are right there. The Conservative Party from what I was told by one of their activists apparently employed several people to dig the dirt on UKIP in its heyday prior to the 2016 EU referendum, when it genuinely posed an electoral threat to the Conservatives. They were certainly successful in their endeavours as these people trawled through social media and local and national newspapers etc, and every silly little thing that was said by an election candidate was blown out of proportion to discredit UKIP from becoming a mainstream party. And we all know what happened when Henry Bolton’s then girlfriend made a certain comment on social media. How is it that the Conservatives are not making more of what that stupid Labour MP said about Kwarteng.
Helena That is an ongoing challenge. All that can be done is to get used to the fact that our enemies are everywhere, they will stoop to any depths and prepare as best you can to deal with and deflect their intimidation.
Better look forward to re-joining the e.u sooner than later, Tuss is already ( eupc anyone ) speeding up the process started by Boris, as for Shapps of ‘we call it the short straits’ and of e.u number plates for vehicles and Baker’ better listen to the P.M ( Boris) after his short lived rebellion over the covid legislation – what did anyone expect. I dunno about managed decline Truss has certainly stopped that and turned it in to terminal decline in less than a month and is on course at this rate to beat the Cameron record for hubris and U turns. The sooner this millennium TINO goverment and party fails the better the country at large is still in denial of reality and needs to re learn a few hard truths and lessons.
Schapps and Gove have one thing in common. Both a waste of space with no real political conviction.
Didn’t take long, did it? The first media, and Remain establishment, driven U-turn by the new Conservative leadership has happened. The propaganda machine is in full swing to hound them out of office, reminiscent of the treatment of Trump and Johnson. The witch-hunt is becoming the norm and democracy is out the window. They won’t be happy until that nice Mr Starmer is in office and we’re back in the EU. Doesn’t matter who you vote for, it’s what they want that matters and they will do anything to get it, the sheep will follow.
KP- could not agree more.
Editors’ offices:- Imagine voting for ‘her’, rather than the high handshaking, Ritchie Soopernack – impossible. ‘She’ must be removed. Put the word out – make it so.
Ken P But the Tories are so incompetent, unpatriotic, deceitful and corrupt so maybe it is better they are hounded out of office.
Jake – to be replaced by who? Slippery Starmer and his Rejoiner backers?
Ken. With respect, how much more lying, incompetence, treachery, deceit and outright mischief are you prepared to take before saying enough is enough? Two thirds of the Tory party MPs and most of their big donors would have us back in tomorrow if that is your key concern.
Only centre Right challengers are 100% committed to Brexit.
The “economic disaster” was caused by Putin and no-one else.
Aided by Angela Merkel who led Germany to gas dependence on Russia. The planted East German apparachnik did her work well, leading to the collapse of Western economies.
Was the covid epidemic deliberately engineered by Putin’s ally, the Chinese?
Did you forget your meds today HA?
Lisa…….what do you mean ‘today’, I think it is a case of everyday. There is no consistency in his pronouncements. It changes according to whatever way the wind blows, is my take on it. But his comments are good for a laugh or two.
harryFbolloxAgain- Russia was shut out of uSA – Yourope banking and more or less everything else.
How did that nice Pres Putin manage any sort of disaster (Poorly written as usual, presumably self inflicted out of control inflation in the West?).
Stop taking the troll drugs.
Harry – our economic disaster began years ago, when Broon Jobbie could not let his mates’ banks fail and we have had ridiculous interest rates and QE ever since. Covid was icing on the QE cake and the energy crisis is ENTIRELY due to the greencrap delusion and failure to acknowledge that we can and should be energy independent in the UK.
Was covid deliberately engineered? Well, as a microbiologist I am now pretty sure it was a lab leak AND that the virus had been manipulated in one way or another in the lab at WIV. Lab leaks do happen (I live fairly close to Pirbright – polite cough), especially if you are stupid enough to handle an airborne virus of unknown properties at biosafety level 2, anyone really sneaky who wanted to indulge in biowarfare would therefore consider the option of an ‘accident’.
Accident or ‘accident’ – the CCP still indulged in the usual cover up, but for the brave Chinese scientist who released the sequence, it may have been longer – had already been flown round the world by Jan 2020. And WHO were complicit, denied it was airborne.
Oh do give it a rest, HA. The economy and not just ours was tanking well before Putin was forced to respond to Ukrainian plans to invade the Donbas, and sanctions crippled Europe. If anything it was the world wide lockdowns, but that was another means to an end for the globalists and far from the whole story.
Strangely, you are right about Merkel, but the plandemic was the fruition of globalist planning over decades.
[Sorry Helena. I admire you for standing up for your profession but you have yet to convince me. As an engineer, I would defend engineer’s where I could but not when a bridge collapses or a simple o-ring freezes and causes a moon rocket to explode.]
In the manner of boiling the frog, the perps have been patiently implementing their plan for decades, so much so that even when the they tell us what they are doing, it gains no traction. But the pace has quickened.
In 1981, Jaques Atali famously/infamously said in interview:
“The future will be about finding a way to reduce the population. We start with the old, because as soon as they exceed 60-65 years, people live longer than they produce and that costs society dearly. Then the weak, then the useless that do not help society because there will always be more of them, and above all, ultimately, the stupid. Euthanasia targeting these groups … will have to be an essential tool in our future societies. Of course we will not be able to execute people or build camps.
“We get rid of them by making them believe that it is for their own good. Overpopulation … is too costly economically.
“We will find or cause something a pandemic targeting certain people, a real economic crisis or not, a virus affecting the old or the fat, it doesn’t matter, the weak will succumb to it, the fearful and stupid will believe in it and seek treatment. We will have made sure that treatment is in place, treatment that will be the solution. The selection of idiots then takes care of itself: You go to the slaughter by yourself.”
In 2010, Ottmar Edenhoffer, one of the co-chairs of the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), was open.
He said: “One must say clearly that we redistribute defacto the world’s wealth by climate policy. One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy.”
In 2015, Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, admitted that the goal of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity but to destroy capitalism.
She said: “This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution.”
And surely by now no one is unaware of the WEF’s own Bond villain’s infamous, “You will own nothing and be happy.”
Then we had Melissa Fleming, the United Nations’ global communications rep telling the WEF: “We own the science, and we think that the world should know it,” and boasting about how Google manipulates search returns in their favour. “We own the science.” Megalomania on stilts.
Or Schwab’s buddy, Noah Yuval Harari’s insane glee in explaining how we must meld man and AI such that our consciousness resides in the cloud. The matrix, in other words. But that’s for the year after; the second phase. They are thinking ahead as always.
PoS- maybe we could start with our poster chum, living in Stone, as one of the dull and ignorant just to test the principle?
As another Engineer how could I disagree…
“The poor” = the idle. They were idle at school (bunking off and not doing homework) and when they ended up flipping hamburgers, they whine and expect “benefits”.
And then we have the absent fathers, leaving the taxpayer to finance their offspring.
They all expect a taxpayer funded smartphone and free accommodation too. Not to mention “foodbanks”.
Scroungers and wastrels!
The comeuppance has arrived.
