Always going up: global temperatures and our ‘green’ surcharges
Today our cousins across the Big Pond vote in the midterm elections. Given the time zones across that huge country the results won’t be announced instantaneously. How much the expected change, the predicted ‘Red Wave’ will affect US and therefore World politics remains to be seen. There’s one aspect to this election which is significant – more on that below.
Meanwhile, there’s that jamboree in Sharm-El-Sheik. Predictably, the BBC, having tried to nudge the whole nation for decades into accepting ‘climate horror’, has chosen to put the front pages of the most fervent watermelon papers at the top of their daily compilation (link).
Someone ought to tell the climate loons and their helpers in the newsrooms that we’ve become so used to their daily fear porn excesses that we simply don’t care any longer. People want to get to work, people want to see trees rather than bird shredders and people do not want to pay through the nose for schemes instituted by politicians simply in order to look good on the green international stage.
Speaking of which, the obligatory group photo of all those heads of state attending yon conference ought to make our feminists cry. Here it is in the DM (link) – you can play ‘find the woman’! ‘Our Rishi’ is in the back row, hard to find, therefore our broadsheets printed a sweet little photo of the wannabe Napoleon and Sunak greeting each other like long-lost brothers (link). Gawd. I nearly spewed my coffee over my PC.
The combined green army of ‘eco’-alarmists predicts that things are getting worse, according to the report in The Times:
“Cop27 has been billed as the world’s last chance to prevent global warming of more than 1.5C above historic levels, but progress since last year’s summit in Glasgow has stalled. Recent analysis has shown we are on course for between 2.4C and 2.8C because new plans by countries have been too weak.” (link, paywalled)
So the world didn’t ‘go green’ fast enough in one year? The fact that there was that slight inconvenience of the mostly locked-down ‘emergency’, a.k.a. Covid, having driven most economies to the wall, has of course nothing to do with ‘weak new plans’. Odd that nobody asks how come that those ‘green plans’ instituted in the past decades seem to have had no effect on those ‘rising’ temperatures at all. Isn’t there something wrong, somewhere?
Green crap must be paid for. That is something the extinction and last generation climate terrorists generally overlook. They are screaming for ‘reparations’ however – a cool £1trillion. The DM, reporting that Sunak preferred to remind everyone that ‘we’re all in this together’ (link), ran a poll and found that 98% of DM readers reject such reparations (link). They even published an opinion piece with the headline “It’s insane to demand we pay for the ‘sin’ of our industrial past when China wreaks such climate damage today” (link).
As for me, I see this as a beautiful fat squirrel, diverting our attention from the other ‘aspect’ Sunak touched on in his speech. The DT writes:
“The Russian war on Ukraine is a reason to “act faster” on climate change, Rishi Sunak said on Monday as he delivered a major speech at the Cop27 climate change summit in Egypt. Making his debut on the world stage as Prime Minister, Mr Sunak acknowledged the scale of the challenges posed by rising energy costs and the war in Ukraine. But he told delegates: “Vladimir Putin’s abhorrent war in Ukraine and rising energy prices across the world are not a reason to go slow on climate change – they are a reason to go faster.” (paywalled link)
So “we” have to go greener faster, no matter the cost to our economy, because ‘Teh West’ is unwilling to get yon Ukrainian ‘leader’ to the negotiating table? How … interesting! Who knew that thence months of war had such influence on those alarming temperature rises in the short time!
But if you thought that Sunak would refuse ‘climate reparations’ you better think again. He’s left open the door to our paying more:
“[Sunak was] noting that Britain is tripling its funding to help poorer nations adapt to the realities of climate change, he insisted it was “morally right to honour our promises” in the wake of devastation such as the floods in Pakistan.” (paywalled link)
Aww, doesn’t that make us feel proud! ‘Tis odd though that on the same page in the same paper we find wails and howls about taxes:
“Inheritance to be targeted in tax raid by Jeremy Hunt – Chancellor agrees to freeze tax threshold for another two years as he battles to balance the books ahead of next week’s Autumn Statement” (paywalled link)
Well, dear greenies – the money for all those green ‘schemes’ has to come from somewhere! It’s only fair that ‘Teh Rich’ will have to pay, that their kids not inherit wealth because “we” must pay for our sins, from slavery and colonialism to inventing the Industrial Revolution. Since we’re ‘all in it together’, according to rich Rishi and the rest of the rich green climate prophets, it’s best to impoverish the whole planet, throwing in a few programmes for depopulation by the back door. They will still have enough to lord it over us.
There is a connection between these wet green dreams and the US midterm elections. A report came into my inbox late last night describing what some political analysts looking at the predicted ‘Red Wave’ have found out:
“The Democrats’ insistence on focusing on luxury issues like climate change is at the root of the problem. While voters trust them more on this issue, no one cares what the temperature will be 100 years from now when they are not sure they can afford heating oil. Preferred pronouns are unimportant when you have to skip dinner so your kids have more to eat because grocery prices are out of sight.” (link)
Just so! Over there just like over here and across the Channel, ‘Teh Left’ campaigns on luxury items, showing how utterly out of touch they are with the reality we are facing. However, cynical old me thinks that this is precisely what those politicians and their string-pullers want: people who have to worry about feeding their kids and keeping their homes warm don’t have the time to take to the streets. Only those rich ecoloons can afford to do so. We know what they demand: more of the same, with ‘extra’s like ‘reparations’.
Do they not realise that there won’t be any money, for nothing and no-one, once the Western Nations’ economies have totally crashed thanks to their demands? Have they not been told about the goose laying golden eggs and what happened to her? Granny could’ve told them …
Doris claims 40c heatwave was to blame for “turmoil” leading to his dethroning.

Jake……….just goes to show how deluded and out of touch Boris Johnson really is. Any sane and rational person knows the real reasons for his downfall, and it wasn’t anything to do with the weather. And why did he think his contributions at the COP 27 conference in Egypt were going to change anything. Surely even the dimmest government leader at the conference would have been aware that Johnson was no longer the prime minister of this country and has no influence whatsoever here or elsewhere. He is a worthless muppet, nothing more nothing less.
Colin – That’s exactly the problem. They are not sane, they are not rational, they are deluded, they are Muppets, but unfortunately they are allowed to make decisions on our behalf. The question is who are they really working for? Certainly not us.
Who are the politicians working for? That’s an easy one Ken. They are, with one or two honourable exceptions (Redwood, Baker, Davis, Braverman, Patel etc, are not honourable exceptions IMHO) career politicians who fully understand that the majority of Western democracies and their institutions are fully signed up and committed to the globalist agenda. Thus, any establishment party upon election takes that agenda as their blueprint for governance and procedures on big issues of the day. All career politicians and elected western democratic governments work for Foundations, think, tanks, NGOs, politicised charities, UN, World Bank, WEF, billionaires and corporations. Any individual politician or government who strays off message will find their career derailed. Such is the stranglehold on western democracies the globalists have woven over decades of painstaking commitment. I read the runes during Maastricht and have never voted for an establishment party ever since and been a committed member of a centre Right challenger party ever since.
We hear this a lot because there is so much of it about: The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
But yes, here we go again. Maricopa Country, the largest in Arizona, had a forensic audit of the 2020 election and revealed multiple fraud on many fronts. The audit was smeared and/or ignored by the PTB, but at least you would think that locally they had learned and got their house in order this time; but no.
Still using the discredited Dominion voting machines and voila.
Election Day polling problems: Arizona voting tabulators down at 20% of Maricopa County sites

And wouldn’t you know, uncounted ballots … transported to a central location to be tabulated. Did the report mishear? Perhaps the informant said tampered with.

This hasn’t been corroborated yet but no smoke etc, and would explain the kerfuffle at Davos with Sunak.
Can’t read it. Members only.
Here is the transcript:
The US Military transmitted an astonishing ELEVEN (11) Emergency Action Messages (EAM’s) to US Forces worldwide today. Usually, there are NONE. When something is up, there may be three. Today there are eleven . . . and counting. Six since 3:45 PM eastern US time today.
There is all sorts of “chatter” on intel circuits about a “British submarine.” Some intel saying a sub suffered an electrical fire while others are HINTING . . .
that a submarine may have not only been fired upon, may have sustained rudder damage. THIS IS *NOT* Substantiated.
UPDATE To Submarine Claim 5:57 PM EST —
One of the British Navy’s Vanguard-class nuclear submarines was forced to abort a “top secret mission” after it sustained fire damage, yesterday (Sunday) article published by The Sun.
According to the outlet’s sources, it took the efforts of the entire 130-plus crew, including many who were off-duty, to put out an electrical fire aboard the HMS Victorious, which was carrying Trident 2 nuclear ICBMs at the time of the incident.
While the fire was reportedly contained relatively quickly, the emergency situation declared by the ship’s captain forced the ship to shoot to the surface at an undisclosed location in the North Atlantic to vent out toxic fumes.
A Navy source reportedly explained to The Sun that “every seagoing member of the Royal Navy is a qualified fire-fighter,” and that this ensured that British ships and submarines were able to quickly respond to such incidents without affecting operational outputs.
Nevertheless, the damage caused by the fire prompted the submarine’s captain to abandon an unspecified “top secret mission” and order the vessel to return to base at HMNB Clyde in Faslane, Scotland.
Intel circuits earlier were claiming a British jet was fired upon with live ammunition by a Russian military jet somewhere around Ukraine, but that was a singular report and it, too, IS **NOT** substantiated or corroborated.
We do know that earlier today, British Prime Minister was urgently rushed OUT of a Climate Agenda meeting taking place in Egypt. He subsequently returned to the conference.
Whatever is taking place, there is all sorts of bizarre speculation and absolutely zero corroboration.
I thought you should know things got suddenly hectic this afternoon.
In addition to the EAM’s, numerous P-8 Poseidon aircraft launched off all three US coasts (Atlantic, Pacific, and Gulf) and are in the air along with several E-6 aircraft.
Something appears to be “up.”
Could you give an outline, Lisa? The Hindustan Time is the only source I can find that adds an explanation. They say there was a ‘late meeting’ – whatever that is – with the Germans and South Africans. What common issue brings those three together? Curiouser and curiouser.
Here is a link which may be of interest.

Viv- ‘the results won’t be announced instantaneously’
as it is the uS elections, I think you should have said
‘the results won’t be announced momentarily’
(Smiles – Y/No?)
Disconnected daily shambles. Only Or incorrectly connected by devolved ( Meaning responsible or organised ) individual(s).( eg Politics. Commentators ). In order of importance and restricted to three otherwise it’ll somehow dissappear.
Globocap.
I think, short for Global Capitalism. This is not really the same as the victorian defined Ltd liability company. And needs seperate policing or something. And is inextricably bound up with Global warming.
Global Warming.
This is ridiculous. It’s a political fudge to hide the fact that the world is filthy. Politicians have had decades and turned a blind eye to cleaning, hygene, and tidyness. The world needs clean rives Not just the Thames, but the Ganges, Nile, Mississipi, Ganges, Yangtse. Plastic wrapping, Disposable, Low quality cheap metal and platic product. and so on. All locally responsible.
Energy
The Sun is abundant
etc
PS
And I don’t mean the special case Solar Panels
GUL.=. Globally Unlimited Liability, or GRUL,= Global Restricted Unlimited Liability Or G U R L .or some other designated area or value etc. That could perhaps slow down ambitions of Globocap companies. Is that too difficult for politicians. Going bust is presently too easy. and prostituted by Banking, Asset strippers, ( Venture capitalists ( so called but not.. perhaps better described as breakers yards. ) Professions, and other malign influencers. and vultures. or summat
That DM headline sums up our problem: “It’s insane to demand we pay for the ‘sin’ of our industrial past when China wreaks such climate damage today.”
Two questions: What climate damage and why does everyone always reference China? Since there is no problem, it is irrelevant how much CO2 China emits. The greatest explosion of life on the planet happened when CO2 was at 7000ppm.
Not going green fast enough they say without irony when NASA satellite imagery has shown the world is literally greening, due the welcome increase in CO2, that they demonise.
https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2016/carbon-dioxide-fertilization-greening-earth
That headline should read simply: “It’s insane to demand we pay for the ‘sin’ of our industrial past.”
Our present health, wealth and standard of living derives from it. It was a gateway to a new era and we should be proud not apologetic that it began in Britain. Reparation for improving life on Earth for humans? Perhaps the World should be paying us.

This zealous nutter was given free rein on GBNews yesterday. He intends to stand over 100 candidates. Vote for us and ruin your life even faster than Labour or the Tories will.
Sadly I expect there are too many of the indoctrinated who will vote for them.

I wonder what is going on in Davos, Sunak is not having a good day methinks.
We might think of “them” as “climate change loons” but the reality is that they are far more dangerous than the average loon. Of course those heading up the scare probably don’t believe their own propaganda but welcome the control and wealth generation. I’m not sure if Charlie falls into that category or is simply too dim…
According to the Global Carbon Project, China in the last eight years has emitted more CO2 than the UK has since the Industrial Revolution (DT: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/environment/2022/11/07/china-pumps-pollution-eight-years-uk-since-industrial-revolution/) currently accounbting for 30% of all emissions. Further, the UK has seen the fastest reduction in CO2 emissions over the last 30 years than any other industrialised country. Even if you believe that CO2 emissions are causing climate change (and probably also believe covid vaccines are safe and effective), there is no case for singling out the UK and no evidence at all, as the UN’s IPCC has conceded, linking any country’s CO2 emissions to floods in Pakistan for example.
Since COP was founded in 1995, CO2 emissions ( a great benefit to plant life) have inceased every year (from about 340 ppm to 420ppm), but no goverment apparantly sees through this ludicrous circus. (Little did I realise all those years ago that the bloke with the billboard, forlornly patrolling Oxofrd Street with his ‘The End of the World is Nigh’ message, had actually started something. I smiled back then whenever I saw him but I’m not smiling now.)
It’s no surprise that anti-West grifter countries, even those with nuclear weapons or a space program like Pakistan or India, should seek handouts or aid (as the transfer of money from poor people in rich countries to rich people in poor countries is called), but it beggars belief that Sunak goes along with with one of the biggest scams in history. Initially, Sunak was content to just send Alok Sharma, minister for climate bollocks, to COP27 but for reasons not entirely clear changed his mind about staying away. He appears now to be trying to prove his climate credentials. But prove to whom? He has now pledged 11 billion in climate aid and 3 billion to an African railway project, amongst other largesse with our money.
Each year I think we have reached peak insanity and each year I am proved wrong. It just keeps on getting worse. Soon we will learn from Jeremy *unt just how much more tax we will have to pay to cover an alledged hole in finances created by the political class’s various vanity projects such as HS2 (originally a project to link the UK to the EU’s high speed train network though never explained a such). Government truly is organised lying.
As to Macron and Sunak, perhaps the two midgets were simply delighted to discover each was no longer alone in being vertically challenged.
Deserving of a place amongst Grannies sayings’
AID = the transfer of money from poor people in rich countries to rich people in poor countries
TG- it would be good if Granny went off to parliament to buttonhole a few mps.
I can just hear the now one sided dialogue after a few minutes (forty years too late).
‘. . . you are being very naughty, you are not listening and you are not too big for a smack . . .’
t g s 12.23pm. Yes. I agree with grannie there.
Stout at 9.20am. I think Sunak is trying to impress the ecoloons lurking in his own Party as part of trying to ‘unite the Party. It surprises me if there are so many ecoloons there. Presumably if so it was due to Boris’s influence. It certainly does just keep on getting worse.
I hope that is true that we are going to import liquified natural gas from U.S. Daft as it is in economic and carbon neutral terms, at least it may help avoid power cuts.
You are probably right. Theresa May’s calamatous 1 trillion pound net zero last act went through on the nod.
The few people who actually knew a real war rather than the proxy war we are all paying for a moment would hardly beleive that in the middle of the conflict, fuel and food shortages and internal discontent in many western countries, their world class ‘leaders’ can afford to take time out to talk about ‘climate change’ with leaders of countries that hardly produce anything that would change anything either way. Western leaders can posture as much as they like, but the emerging powers are either not taking part or just paying lip service , the world is changing and most just have not yet noticed.
This announcement from the Whitehouse that the results of the election won’t be known for a few days is a worry and I think an admission that the Democrats are going to cheat like hell. From Breitbart:
“White House Urges Americans to Be Patient ‘For a Few Days’ Before Declaring Midterm Winners”
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/11/07/white-house-urges-americans-to-be-patient-for-a-few-days-before-declaring-midterm-winners/
This is complete BS to suggest that in this day and age they suddenly need a few days to count the results. More like a chance to see how much they need to cheat and figure out how to do it; this will not end well. As Katy Hopkins says in the video below: “America has never been redder” and she’s been on the road there for the last couple of months, at least though she remains very optimistic and positive.
“Katie Hopkins: MIDTERM predictions + learnings from the road”
Republican election messaging has focused on issues Americans actually care about – inflation, immigration, crime – and in the ballot box, no matter what polls might say, these issues will decide voting. The Democrats, well aware that they lose on the substantive issues they are actually the cause of, have tried divisive ‘save democracy’ messaging and demonisation of republican voters. If they are not routed today then almost certainly there will have been fraud. There were huge, unprecedented statistical anomalies in 2020. In cities there will be increased voting by women over abortion, but also in rural areas for the same reason but opposite point of view, so that the overturn of Roe v Wade, suspected of dimishing republican chances may have no overall effect. Thus if the Democrats do well then that will point to shenanigans. In fact, those shouting most about democracy are the ones most likely to subvert it, just as Labour shouting about racism is in fact the most racist party. I am in a state of mixed optimism and pessimism.
Stout 9.38am. Even if the republicans win, all it will do is stop Biden getting measures through. I suppose that is better than nothing.
I think Globocap and the Democrats will try to tear the world apart rather than let that happen.
If they do fiddle their way to victory, it remains to be seen how far the Republicans will fight back and what measures Globocap will then take to deal with the fightback (UN “Peacekeeping” forces according to “Kigali Principle?”
This didn’t happen in 2020 though so is it likely that there will be fightback this time?
Maybe the ammuntion being amassed is just for self protection in the coming meltdown?
