The past 12 months have been witness to the most appalling – yet remarkable – subjugation of the Nation. Not by any ‘foreign power’ but by our own sitting Government!
The means utilised in this undertaking was a new strain of a coronavirus. Like many viruses before it, this COVID-19 was to prove extremely virulent to a particular section of society ie the old, infirm and those with existing health conditions that would predispose them to contracting damaging infection. 99.9% of all others contracting the virus would recover fully – as they would from a bad case of influenza.
Yet the Nation permitted government to place them under virtual house arrest and keep them there on-and-off for the past twelve months – at the expense of unmitigated damage to the Nation’s mental health; physical health and the economy. The full ramifications of which are yet to be discovered. That same government took for itself extreme powers in the form of new legislation, nodded through by an absentee, supine Parliament.
One year later, those supra-powers still exist and hold much of the Nation in a vice-like grip of fear. How and why has this occurred? How has it so easily and so completely overpowered the minds and free will instincts of so many people?
The key element appears to have been psychology. In fact we have been openly informed that the government has been guided (via the medium of their medical and epidemiological ‘advisors’) by psychologists who have created the atmosphere of uncertainty and fear that has brought us to this pass!
Some would say that we have been faced with ‘fearful’ situations before – such as WWII, the Cold War, The Cuban missile crisis etc., and that this situation is much the same. That would be a reasonable hypothesis. However, the ‘fear’ to which I allude is another dimension of fear. A chimera that, like the mythical beast it represents has grown and been magnified in the minds of so many people, until it has become an all-encompassing wave. It has drowned out the capacity for logical reasoning. This ‘fear’ is fear of the unseen. The supposition that in every breath that we take we could be ingesting a bacteria so mighty and so deadly that only complete isolation, away from all other people will be effective. Shut away from the open air (lest that mighty and supernatural germ should reach us and cause us to die a most terrible death!). Shut away from any form of our normal everyday lives.
The means by which this intimidation and subjugation has been brought about is undoubtedly the Media.
There are still many of us who remember the inception of television in the home. Before television, radio was the medium by which most people were kept informed and entertained. How many of us remember listening in our youth to Radio Luxembourg with its often oscillating frequency that made listening to the latest pop song both a pleasure and a trial? I certainly remember doing my homework with one ear glued to the radio every evening!
Then came domestic television. At first with only the lucky homes, who had the money and inclination to buy a set, being identified by the ‘H’ aerial perched upon the roof next to the chimney! Many refused to allow the ‘monster’ into their home. My father was, initially, one of these – much to our childish disgust! However, the day came when his boss who – in the nature of all things consumable – acquired a newer and more up to date model and donated his old set to my father. I remember evenings when the picture would ‘roll’ over uncontrollably. This could only be resolved by giving the set a thump on the casing!
In a relatively short time came the advent of ‘commercial television’. Prior to that the BBC had reigned supreme. Of course, in those days, the BBC had not the become the biased and politically motivated behemoth that it represents today.
‘Rediffusion’ cables began to appear across property roof lines. ‘Wayleave’ permission and small one-off payments were being made to property owners. My father initially refused his permission but was finally ‘cowed’ by the pressure of ‘what the neighbours would say’, should he continue to stand in the way of ‘progress’. Thus, ‘cable tv’ came into being. It was of course, rental-only, so initially, only a trickle took up the option. Father refused to pay. He had heard about the advertising breaks in programmes and was absolutely against the idea. My Mother wanted this new marvel. By then I had a Saturday job paying the princely sum of 18/- for the day (90p in todays money!). The rental was 8/- per week. So I paid 4/- and Mother paid the same and so (I am now ashamed to say) we ‘did the deed’!
Looking back, ‘commercial television’ was the advent of ‘subliminal conditioning’. The products being advertised usually coming with catchy slogans spouted by well known ‘celebrities’ such as the Norman Vaughan- “Roses grow on you” slogan for a well known brand of variety chocolates which used to be made in Britain but now I believe bought-out by a foreign company and relocated to Poland!
So it has moved on over the years. Our slavish addiction to politically aligned newspapers. Television with all its ‘bread and circuses’ soap opera; game shows; ‘reality’ programmes; competitive and interactive series, breaking into all our lives and carrying the pollution of advertising into every aspect of our existence.
Thus, the scene was set for the mass conditioning of large segments of the population that has taken place in recent years. The advent of multi-ethnicity familial groups; the ‘charity’ advertisers (more akin to the ‘chuggers’ that were prevalent on our High Streets not so long ago) and now government ‘big bucks’ spending on advertising of a much more insidious kind.
The ‘advertising’ and ‘daily briefings’ from government (to which we have all been subjected according to our degrees of susceptibility) have taken on the sinister aspects of the indoctrination scenes portrayed in the film ‘The Ipcress File’.
How long will it take for the Nation to recover its senses and break free from the shackles with which it has been bound? Only time will tell. But it seems safe to predict that the road to freedom will not be traversed without pain. Many are waking up to the reality of what has been inflicted upon the Nation (and indeed the World). But realisation needs more. It will need courage and determination to break free from the ‘system’ that has implanted windmills into so many minds!

Beautiful and a pleasure for me to read Frederica.
But what next?
Hundreds of thousands of books, articles, films, future possibilities, future probabilities, and stories, films, and rumours, have been provided by millions of the brilliant from Mary Shelley to Arnold Schwarzeneggar. and Marvel..
It’s all in there somewhere.? No it’s not. ! .. Magic exists. There are gaping holes in Science There are Chasms in science, un-examined and un considered. Only the obviously rewarding are pursued for profits or advantage.. Our entire civilisation is built on misconceptions followed come hell or high water.. We think if we give something a name , we understand. Nonsense. We are following familiar.
So.? What’s to do
The favourite from the infantile :– Revolution ?.Get rid, and replace with me.?
Follow what works ( The pragmatic Party ) and correct obvious flaws.( my favourite, and what UKIP was for, until corrupted and destroyed.).
Invent something new. The Magic Party.
????? Do you think the EU will go the way of Rome (Vatican ), and shrink into a tiny independent state in Stuttgart accepting donations Populated entirely by civil servants and ??? Or is that us.??
Hey up T. G. Spokes. Good morning, on Sunday 14 March.
Science, gaping holes, only the profitable followed – correct.
Our civilisation built on misconception, give it a name and we understand it. Correct as far as the pseudo science is concerned.
Revolution? Again you are correct. At the moment it would not get the desired result. As Frederica has pointed out the majority have been brainwashed into supporting the present tyranny.
Your description of UKIP when it started is also correct, or at least that is how I found it. I’ve not yet found your ‘Magic Party’. We’ll just have to take our pick as and when the opportunity arises.
I love your vision of the E.U. shrinking to a City State, like the Vatican.
U.K. now, is a bit like England after Henry 8th’s ‘Reformation’ but a lot more had to happen before the whole of Europe broke free.
Tumultuous times ahead and it’s now a GLOBAL struggle.
TGS Thanks for your comment. I’m glad you enjoyed reading.
I understand where you are coming from. I do not pretend to have all the answers. Most of us on here can see that things have gone badly wrong politically and that has impacted adversely upon us all. I think that ‘party’ politics has always been a problem inasmuch as the ‘machine’ govern the selection of candidates and then leans on them once elected, to ensure that they toe the party line. This was exacerbated by our membership of the EU. The EU was always going to morph into a carbon copy of the old USSR. And so it came to pass and so also did the corruption seep into our own political system to make a bad situation worse. the largess that flowed down from the EU coffers (made up of contributions from the ‘member taxpayers’) was used to ‘buy’ the complicity of organisations, such as universities, to promote the ‘message’ of subjugation.
Add into the mix the fact that education was subtly altered over decades in order to indoctrinate rather than educate and you have before you a population that became ‘order-takers’ rather than free thinkers. Fixed term parliaments and the merging of political doctrines meant that the electorate lost the ‘last chance saloon’ of an unsatisfactory government falling (for whatever reason be it ‘loss of confidence’, scandalous or corrupt dealings or chaos caused by union uprisings!) before its allotted electoral span was completed.
I also was a UKIP supporter. Unfortunately, it was, as you say, torn apart by ambition and jealousy and negation of proper and appropriate policy. Now there seems to be a plethora of ‘new parties’ on offer. Which to choose? It really does not matter because unless a single party emerges to counter the dominance of the LibLabCon, a vote for any of the new parties will be a ‘protest’ only because none can win outright if the vote is split. The gerrymandered electoral boundaries has also made it difficult for new parties to enter the arena and win. Hence the 4M votes for UKIP that resulted in only one Parliamentary seat (and that was a previously ‘safe’ conservative seat).
TGS. The rest of my reply follows because I was afeared of breaking the 200 word rule!!!
As for the EU. I suspect that, as with all other ‘empires’ it will crumble. How soon? I do not know and wouldn’t like to guess. The sooner the better! It is already a ‘civil service’ dominated organisation. I hope it will not take Britain down with it! Unless we are able to install a Britain-centric government rather than our present ‘closet-Remainer’ shower, I feel less than confident.
What can we do? Stick to our principles; inform those who will listen of our concerns and hope that of those who will not listen, enough of our thoughts and convictions sink in to give them pause for consideration. The longest journey begins with the first step! Onward and Upward!
Excellent Frederica; you write of many things i remember too. The climate change scam has been comprehensively trashed by the detailed research of Steve McIntyre and Professor Ross McKitrick but the establishment have realised that it is great tool of control for them. they will never give it up until forced to. I’d send Boris a book about that but I guess he wouldn’t read it; with all the lies comes power unprecedented in recent times.
Is the virus a similar scam? It is certainly being used in the same way.
Thanks Jack. I wouldn’t try and reason with a politician! They are so arrogant they are beyond reason. The only way is to inundate them with letters and complaints week in week out and to vote (as and when we are allowed to do so) for any party that offers a way back to our culture and heritage. I think the virus is real in as much as like a bad flu year it can kill off many of those who are already susceptible. In this instance the virus has been taken up and blown out of all proportion by thoroughly unscrupulous people who saw it a means to manipulate and coerce a large part of the population into fearful subservience. If it was really as bad as they wish us to think, they would have been closing the borders right at the beginning and they would have been taking very strong measures not to let the illegals land on these shores either (never mind housing them in four and five star hotels!!!!). Their primary aim was to take away our freedom of movement and freedom of speech and frighten us into accepting whatever decrees they could dream up – using the willing Stasi police to enforce their undemocratic and badly crafted ‘emergency laws’. I hope we shall overcome! (Joan Baez)
To get your brain & mind back to normal, – do two things:- 1). Switch off the TV, PERMANENTLY.
2). Cancel all newspapers. there are plenty of superb repeats on YouTube, and U.S. and Australian news channels are (in my view) far more entertaining than UK ones and it soon becomes apparent where the truth lies. Then, free of all the psycho babble – you will soon discover your clear minded, old self and begin to think, plan and push for a return to a sensible reality. Get to it !
………and to complete the detox programme, stop playing musical chair politics by never, ever, voting for LIB/LAB/CON.
Amen to that, Jake.
Frederica. During my time at secondary school we had a short course, I’ve forgotten the name of it, perhaps Civics, or Current Affairs? What I remember is being taught to not believe the adverts. May be that was the start of my general scepticism.
Pauline, that may well be so! Sounds like you were well taught! I used to find some adverts amusing (taken as entertainment value). Especially the ones that were like a serial. Maureen Lipman and Beatty (BT) comes to mind. I have a book found in a charity shop about the one where she talks to a nephew (I think it was) about getting an ‘ology’! Very funny!
The teachers varied Frederica. I still haven’t worked out how come euclidean geometry was taught sensibly as simple logic which it is, while algebra was taught by rote, learn this formula and apply it.
Probably the chief reason why people believe in the Covid Terror is that it is supposed to be justified by Science. Scientists have the authority now that priests used to have in the Middle Ages, people sit at the feet of scientists today and hang on their every word. Science is the new religion (try telling people that carbon dioxide is no threat to life on earth, and that there is no need for “Decarbonisation” ).
Ralph. You are certainly right about the new ‘religion of science’!
But the ‘climate change’ cultists do not tell people that the counteraction to too much carbon dioxide is to plant more trees! If they hadn’t cut down so much rainforest the World would be in a better place today carbon-wise than it is. Trees take in carbon dioxide through their leaves and process it to help provide food for the tree by photosynthesis. In return the leaves give off oxygen for us human beings (and other animals) to breathe. Thus the World used to be able to regulate itself and its climate. Wood (properly seasoned and dried) used to be trumpeted as the ultimate green fuel because it was ‘carbon neutral’. But of course, that does not suit the ‘green agenda’ of those who have promoted wind turbines and solar panels because they make shed loads of money for a select few (but costs those of us that use such energy a large amount of money via our bills!). Of course, it is difficult to find room to plant more trees when those who are shouting the loudest about ‘climate change’ are most likely to be the ones making the profits out of increased development for ‘housing’! Oh the corruption!
Yes Ralph Prothero you are right there. ‘Science’ has become the new religion. Or rather, Pseudo Science has become the new religion. It is supported by ‘Statistics’.
Statistics are ‘neutral’. They don’t really take sides or even prove much, beyond a possible correlation. But they are easily selected to apparently prove just about anything.
Then there’s ‘trends’, ‘projections’ and ‘models’ – juggling with the figures.
How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?
Not many. They’ve all got flat feet. From carrying all that goodness
My considered opinion is this. Scientists are well regarded for their knowledge. Many aspects of this are useful but the single thing about knowledge is you are supposed to be able to trust it. TRUSTABLE KNOWLEDGE. The BBCis no longer trusted. No more than the papers or Pharmaceutical adverts .Most scientist are not to be trusted because they are probably talking about something they do not know. They know lots and lots but unfortunately about less and less, or nothing.. If you are anybody , if you can be trusted you will rule the world of the ignorant. The City used to be based on trust, but it’s now mostly connections.
If the BBC were proven trustworthy ( As during the war ) , there would be no other news chanels..
TRUSTED KNOWLEDGE
The answer to this situation is to cease voting for the shower of no hopers that instigated this. Johnson and the Conservative Party need to be consigned to the political dustbin of history where they belong, and that goes for Labour, Liberal Democrats and the Green Party as well who all supported the plan or who wanted to go even further. None of these parties and their politicians would be missed apart from the diehard voters who vote for them come hell or high water. This starts from the forthcoming local elections in May.
Absolutely agree with you Colin and I will be using my “two” votes (one a proxy) to do just that.
Court lases are logical, but they can play the delay game for as long as they like. Then they can simply find an excuse to not hear the case (the USA Supreme Court has shown the way). The jabs will come good in months/years with many sicknesses which will all be blamed on you-know-what – plenty of cause to lock down again. We have a short window of improving figures and weather to get our hair cut, end subservience, and prepare – we need to take it.
“If there is hope, it lies in the proles.” This view is challenged by O’Brien, who claims the proles would never revolt because they have no need to do so, so long as they are kept well-fed and distracted.
1984
Who is O’Brien?
Colin. Have you not read George Orwell’s 1984? Or was your question ‘who do we put in O’Brian’s place’?
If the latter, I’d not reply Boris. Maybe I’d say Hancock.
But it is a Global situation we are in. (It was in the book.) May be O’Brian was just a ‘useful idiot’. In which case Boris maybe DOES fit those shoes!
https://www.sparknotes.com/lit/1984/character/obrien/
O’Brian was the key antagonist in the novel with Winston Smith being the protagonist.
Jake, Colin, you can listen to an “O’Brian” at 10.00am Mon to Fri on LBC !!
Support Mr Tilbrooks campaign.
Look at the death toll by age group in France, Italy, Germany : easy to google.
Its just the same as ours
But they do not have our freedom to lose
