“… they first make blind before making them mad”, sez I! Today’s ‘news’ as presented to us by our glorious MSM have made me change this ancient saying. The usual front pages compilation  again left me speechless: “Newspaper headlines: ‘Womb transplant’ and Letby victims ‘fobbed off’.” (link).

I’m going to do what any self-respecting smartphone user does: scan just the headlines and be outraged. Let’s start with that ‘womb transplant’. Why does the NHS have money for this? Why did nobody tell those women that there are many kids who need to be adopted or fostered or that in this age of ‘feminism’ a woman no longer has to define herself by being ‘a mother’? Ah: this operation is to be celebrated because it gives hope to transgenders –  male to female – to finally be able to bear children as well! Now it makes sense!

Then there’s the leading article in this morning’s DT, about ‘government lawyers’ telling Sunak that a bid to block the ULEZ scheme would fail in court (paywalled link). Why is it that every government decision is being dragged through the courts, at huge cost to us taxpayers? Do I need to say Rwanda, or mention Brexit? I wonder what would have happened in 1914 or 1939 if lawyers had told the then PMs that going to war, just like that, was against some ‘rights’ and they cannot do it because they’d ‘fail in court’?

Meanwhile, politicians peacock around on the pages of the MSM, for example yon Minister called Grant Shapps who bleats in a piece for the DT that:

“Britain will make sure Putin never uses energy as a weapon of war again – By helping Ukraine bolster its fuel security for the winter months and beyond, we will further isolate the Russian leader” (paywalled link)

Good grief! Never mind that Mr Shapps seems to be suffering from a severe case of grandeur and of ignorance, given that, as minister, he surely must be aware of the true state of yon war, why is nobody – a government lawyer even? – telling him that his duty is to us, the people of this country? Shouldn’t he make sure of our ‘fuel security’ first?

Speaking of fuel security, there’s also food security. Since the Daily Sceptic has seen fit to refer to an article in the Sunday Times, so shall I: “Mass panic over energy, yet we give up our food security without a murmur” (link, paywalled). The author, after paying his tribute to the “Putin – bad” meme in his subtitle, describes how here in the UK the last plant producing ammonia from  nitrogen is closing. This means we do no longer produce the much needed fertiliser here in this country.

This is fine though because it’s clearly better to rely on foreign imports for fertilisers than producing it ourselves: who needs food when we can be truly ‘green’? It goes without saying that relying on foreign countries to feed us is fine, as long as it’s not coming from Russia.

I wonder how long it’ll take for people to realise that the ULEZ fight is just another deflection from the frightening descent into a greenery worse than that currently experienced by the Germans – worse because the Germans are realising that their government coalition which they voted in is the culprit.

Here, the green crappery is defended if not applauded by the Westminster ‘rulers’ from the HoC to Whitehall to the MSM and all who thrive in this swamp. There’s even an opinion piece by Ambrose Evans-Pritchard in today’s DT, praising the wonders of ‘new heat pump technology’.

I do wonder about the economic expertise of such commentators when they seem to be blithely unaware of facts such as how and with which materials are those heat pumps going to be made here in the UK. It’s the same question not asked in Westminster in regard to how, with what and by whom all the arms, ammunition, missiles etc are going to be replaced.

Apparently, the lesson of ‘relying on Putin is bad’ doesn’t apply to China or indeed the USA. Moreover, factories, be they for arms production or heat pumps are polluters and un-green and cannot be allowed. “We” can import everything, from manufactured goods to food and never mind the CO2 footprints.

And so, one part of the chattering “ruling class”  celebrates medical wonders helping females – actual or transgenders – fulfilling their dreams while turning away from the dismal state of the  NHS where admin rules medics. The other part of that class is posturing as ‘green heroes’, securing another country’s ‘fuel security’ while disregarding ours  and even disregarding our food security. Surely, there will be lawyers who will make sure that any green crap law will be implemented.

That’s all I have for today. It’s fascinating to observe how we’re being ground down between the ideological millstones of green crap and uber-feminism with nary a word of protest … Have a good day.
