Offended …

‘Tis Bank Holiday Monday, the sun is shining for once – and I’m offended. I’m offended by the abysmal reporting in our MSM. We’ve become used to their ever decreasing quality – just ask Debbie who has to delve into them every morning for her News Review! – but today takes the biscuit. It’s not just that wherever one looks proper news items are mingled with the reporter’s or editor’s opinion, it’s not just that ‘non-news’ are being spread across acres of pixels even in the broadsheets – it’s also the way how our once so proud press has become the propaganda arm of the government.

Today’s ‘covid news’ provide a perfect example. Given that most people only scan headlines anyway, the DM has turned headline-writing into a fine art. Just look at this one, about our ‘favourite subject’, covid:

“Covid cases rise by 40% per cent to 3,240 due to Indian variant but deaths remain flat at six, as 537,000 more people are vaccinated” (link)

That is indeed all we need and want to know. However, the last of the sub-headlines should concern us:

“Despite success of vaccine roll-out, ministers are preparing contingency plans to delay June 21 unlocking” (link).

This relates to one of those covid ministers reiterating that the government will make up their minds about Freedom Day on June 14th, just a week before ‘The Day’. Why is it that the MSM are accepting this outrage with no questions asked of their ‘sources’? Are these ‘source’s on holidays – or are they preparing for more ‘news’ to nudge us into giving up? I find this deeply offensive!

Here’s a ‘reason’ for their concern – something we’ll surely hear more about from ‘source’s in the coming weeks. Yes – you guessed it: ‘tis because our sacred NHS has gone on their latest wail:

“Chris Hopson, chief executive of NHS Providers, which represents health service trusts, said that relaxing the rules on June 21 would require “trade-offs”, calling for “an informed, evidence-based debate” on whether or not to go ahead. The number of beds occupied by non-Covid patients is 9 per cent higher than on May 1, with the number of critical care beds occupied by such patients up 4 per cent. […] Hospitals were juggling the demands of the growing waiting list, rising numbers of patients who needed urgent care, increased mental health problems and slow rates of discharge.” (link, paywalled)

You really couldn’t make it up: according to this “NHS Leader” we ought to stay in lockdown because non-covid patients are already coming into hospitals! Savour these words:

“Hospitals are really under pressure at the moment. They’re working full pelt to deal with the backlog of treatment, focusing on the most urgent, and often the most complex, cases. They’re also seeing growing demand for urgent care, possibly because people who’ve held off getting treatment are now coming in. Given these pressures, even a small increase in Covid-19 patients makes a big difference. […] Hopson said that hospitals in holiday areas were particularly concerned about increased demand over the coming weeks.”  (link, paywalled)

So – another round of ‘stay indoors to save “Our NHS”, is it? Don’t go on holidays in the British Isles because you might fall ill or have an accident and overwhelm “Our Cow”? Vaccinated or not: lockdown must not be eased because now the NHS must deal with all those patients they couldn’t see before because ’covid’? Or is it yet another demand for money? See this:

“Hopson said problems with getting patients discharged from hospital quickly could also be solved by a government commitment to maintaining present levels of discharge funding for the second half of the financial year.” (link, paywalled)

I think this is a timely piece of blackmail – as if there’s still not sufficient money pouring into the insatiable gullet of that ‘Cow’. But there’s more – far more. I’m astonished The Times is actually quoting such NHS leaders because their statements underline the dire situation in our hospitals in a way that they and The Times don’t seem to notice. They must think we’re all dunces, incapable of grasping these threadbare arguments meant to veil the self-inflicted inadequacies of NHS hospitals. Sorry, but I find that offensive.

A vice-president of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, Adrian Boyle, tried to support the description of an NHS again ‘on its knees’ because of a rise of non-covid patients going to hospital – by a staggering 5% compared to 2019. Mr Boyle also said:

“Underpinning any attempt at recovery is the loss of 6,000 to 8,000 general and acute hospital beds because of necessary IPC [infection prevention and control measures]. The UK before the pandemic was relatively underbedded, and the increased demand with reduced supply is a potential perfect storm.” […] Boyle added: “Lack of beds will be the key constraint in any attempt at dealing with the backlog. In most hospitals, beds are flexed between emergency admissions and elective admissions.” link, paywalled)

I find it deeply offensive that we, who pay for the “Cow”, are blamed for daring to use it. I find it offensive that an abysmal lack of flexibility in NHS hospitals is being used to nudge us into accepting the loss of our civil liberties. I find it offensive that covid is being used to defend in retrospect the disgraceful state of NHS hospitals ‘before covid’. Why is it that increased spending on the NHS since the Blair regime hasn’t had any effect on bed capacity? We all know there were no ‘Toreee cuts!’ The stark numbers are even more revealing:

“As of May 25, there were 79,153 hospital beds in England taken up by non-Covid patients, and 580 used for coronavirus patients. There were 7,144 beds reported as unoccupied and available, suggesting hospitals are at over 90 per cent capacity.” (link, paywalled)

Why is it that the esteemed MSM are dedicating pixels to wailings about ‘saving the NHS’ and not to investigations of said NHS? Why must “we” be prepared to accept the prolonged loss of our liberties –  because there are 580 hospital beds used by covid patients? Why does not one MSM reporter ask how come that ‘Infection prevention measures’ were taken because of covid – but not ever when hospital-acquired infections like MRSA were taking a daily toll?

We’re being prepared by the covid government propaganda arm for accepting the loss of our liberties. If the “Cow” is still unable to cope now, at the beginning of summer, with only six covid deaths, what will happen in autumn? Another lockdown, fersure!

Don’t expect the MSM to ask why this scenario is already being prepared, nudge-nudge, when the most vulnerable and most of the rest of the population have been vaccinated. Do the vaccines not work, after all? Shouldn’t we be told, given the many reports of vaccine-related deaths and illnesses? Are those patients calculated under ‘covid patients’ and are thus used as welcome statistics in demanding more lockdowns?

Here’s the next covid ‘horror’, providing fuel to the lockdown hardliners in the covid empire. Vietnam has discovered a new ‘variant of concern’:

“Vietnam has uncovered a new variant combining characteristics of the existing variants found in India and the UK,” Nguyen Thanh Long told officials. “That the new one is an Indian variant with mutations that originally belong to the UK variant is very dangerous.” He said the country’s National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology had found the hybrid in four patients. “The characteristic of this strain is that it spreads quickly in the air,” he said. “The concentration of virus in the throat increases rapidly and spreads strongly to the surrounding environment.” (link, paywalled)

Hands up all of you who’ve visited Hanoi while being ‘infected’ with both the Indian and Kent ‘variant’! How could you! I’m expecting more ‘variants of concern’ being discovered in far-flung places in the coming two weeks – ‘variants’ which this despicable government will gleefully use to refuse giving us our promised Freedom. Yes, that prospect, prepared by the covid propaganda ministry a.k.a. MSM, is offensive, given their ‘resources’, wasted today on ‘reports’ of ‘that’ wedding. I’ll refrain from commenting on what the bride wore – a woman well past the age of a romantic teenie!

I’ll just mention in conclusion that today’s broadsheets have shown again that they cannot function without being given their marching orders by ‘source’s and ‘senior government ministers’ telling them what to write. You didn’t think, did you, that reporters were pestering these ‘sources’ to find out things, did you! No – these ‘sources’, always anonymous, provide the spin for the MSM to make us, the unsuspecting public, ready to accept their latest decision. I find that deeply offensive.

I leave you with one more example for the failure of the MSM: how come that none of them ask, never mind investigate, why it is that there don’t seem to be any ‘variants of concern’ arising in China? Too scared – or too much in thrall to ‘sources’ here in the UK and press agency news for the rest of the world to dare stepping over that ‘covid line’?

No wonder so many of us are relying on ‘alt media’ for their information. Sadly, I have to delve into the MSM swamp because this is the only way for us to find out what the Westminster cabal wants us to think. We need to know this because how else can we defend ourselves?

KBO!
