We can’t get off the covid carousel

 

We’re back on the covid carousel, apparently unable to get off. We’ve often wondered if covid has softened the brains of politicians. Now there’s evidence that the ‘fear of covid’ has also affected the brains of Brits, especially those who’ve had the jab(s), even as they gleefully started yesterday on their ‘summer holiday’ travels.

Firstly though: the ‘variant of concern’.  MPs, especially Labour MPs who are by definition not racist, are attacking BJ for not having closed the borders to India sooner. Well, those of us who’re able to think back to January 2020 remember that a certain US President, Mr Trump, had stopped flights from China to the US West Coast. Immediately the whole world was up in arms because this was racist. But it’s not ‘racist’ when Labour demands it? Hm.

Even more interesting is the bretzelisation of our dear MSM: caught in an inextricable tangle of their own making, desperately trying to avoid mentioning the ethnic make-up of those Boltonians who’ve got the ‘variant of concern’ – all 19 of them. Additionally, they blame all ‘vaccine refuseniks’ (yes, that expression was used!) for the spread of that virus, omitting to mention which ethnicity has been the largest one of ‘refusenik’s. This is underlined by a photo displayed at the top of a report in The Times showing a long queue of what are presumably Boltonians waiting to get that jab (link, paywalled): they are all white. Oh. 

There’s of course more: this ‘variant of concern’ is already being used to rescind some of the ‘freedoms’ BJ has announced. ‘Ministers’ are openly pondering that the ‘Tiers’ system might have to be called upon again where towns and areas are put into lockdown. Moreover:

“The prime minister will no longer announce next week that fines for not wearing face masks will end next month, or that businesses will no longer be compelled to keep people at least a metre apart.” (link, paywalled)

Toldya, didn’t we, that this would happen, that the covid emperors will do anything to keep us under their cosh. Worse: we’re not only being kept in fear, we’re being kept dangling in uncertainty because ‘scientific advisers’ are still testing the effectiveness of those jabs:

“Public Health England expects to conclude tests on the effectiveness of vaccines against the variant by the end of this month. Other scientific advisers believe that by early next month it will be evident how much more transmissible the Indian variant is than the Kent variant.” (link, paywalled)

So again there’s no hard evidence but “we” do know already that it’s the non-jabbed who spread the virus. Just as the muzzle stasi justify their submission by telling the unmuzzled that they’re selfish, this jab-campaign is about telling everybody that not getting the jab is ‘selfish’. Will those covid lemmings now clamour for a sticker, a lapel badge to show people have had the jab, or for a badge for non-vaccinated people? A yellow star, perhaps? 

The next jab campaign will be about our children. Matt-the-Han has told the fearful nation that there are sufficient Pfizer doses to jab all our kids over the age of 12. This campaign is just starting, and yes, SAGE’s fingerprints are all over it:

“Even vaccinating all adults might not be enough to stop the spread of the Kent variant if the country went back to pre-pandemic habits. Those models found that only by vaccinating all over-12s could the government be confident that returning to normal levels of social contact would not spark a resurgence in cases.” (link, paywalled)

The SAGE model is good enough for the Kent variety so it’ll be good enough for the Indian one? How … scientific! There’s more – clearly, any proper scientific evaluation has long gone out of the window. Let me just note in passing that another coffee mug joined my collection of smashed mugs  [note to self: get more mugs] when I read this:

“Other members of the committee [on vaccination] have suggested there is an ethical case to vaccinate children, given the risks posed to their futures if surges in Covid led to more school closures.” (paywalled link)

Why would there be ‘surges in covid’ when the population has been jabbed? Why would schools have to be closed? Are the teachers not vaccinated’? Do the jabs work, preventing people getting covid – or do they not? If not, as the threats of ‘tiers lockdowns’ show, why waste all that money and buy in even more Pfizer jabs, why vaccinate our children? Above all – where in all this vaccine frenzy are the clinicians, the researchers, looking for an early treatment of covid? Wouldn’t that stop ‘Our Sacred Cow’ from being ‘overwhelmed’? 

I urge you yet again to watch this video where the truly eminent clinician Dr Peter McCullough tells a shocked Tucker Carlson what has been going on. Where are our clinicians? Our medics? Are they keeping silent because they were told a year ago that speaking out would mean they’d get the sack? Have there been any studies at all on all those millions of Brits who duly locked themselves in because they had a +ve PCR result? What happened to them? Did they fall ill but stayed at home and recovered by just taking paracetamol? We know from the ONS statistics that they didn’t all end up in ICUs or died …!

And so, finally, to the hilarious ‘experience’ of our dearly beloved covid lemmings. Yesterday they were off to their holidays in ‘green’ countries, i.e. countries where they don’t have to quarantine because they’ve had their jabs. So without great ado, the NHS jab app on their smartphones has become the ‘vaccine passport’. While MPs are bellyaching about those government lists – green, amber, red – of countries to which Brits can travel, here’s a quote that had me laugh – bitterly:

“Paul Charles, the chief executive of The PC Agency, who led a ‘Save our Summer’ campaign, said: “The Europeans are just more optimistic than the UK. They realise how critical travel and tourism is to their economies so they are moving at great speed to introduce a more seamless approach to travel for the summer season.” (paywalled link)

Of course they are – they’ve not been subjected to the year-long Fear & Hysteria campaign, kicked off by SAGE’s nudge unit and gleefully perpetuated by ‘Our MSM’! The latest item in the list of ‘you couldn’t make it up’ is the wailing from those first holiday makers – about having to queue because there weren’t sufficient border farce officers! Worse:

“Heathrow travellers have told MailOnline how they were ‘terrified of catching Covid’ while being crammed into the airport’s border hall this morning. Some even claim they were left standing next to arrivals from Covid-ravaged India while in the three hour long queues.” (link)

Good gawd! And there’s even more dreadful: some travellers told The Times that they were ‘forced’ to stand next to those Indians! How positively ghastly – and how very racist! Why didn’t they stay at home, safe behind their doors and their muzzles? Moreover – who knows what new ‘variant of concern’ they may pick up in their summer holiday resorts? SAGE will detect those and will force the covid empire to rescind the Day of Freedom for all of us. Perhaps those travellers are the selfish ones, not those who are now so disgustingly labelled ‘vaccine refuseniks’.

We clearly have descended from a free nation into one where fear reigns supreme and where the card-carrying muzzled lemmings can blame everybody else for everything. It makes me sick.
