“Us”, the peasants: ready to be sacrificed by and for “Them”
What is it about our ‘Great, Green and virtue-signalling Good’ that makes them believe “we” need a daily dose of what has been labelled ‘Fear Porn’? After the daily ‘covid fear’ and the ‘climate whateva fear’ there’s now the ‘Afghan & Taliban fear’. I note in passing that this morning the editorial chiefs couldn’t decide which of those fear items was to be the most prominent. The one item which really ought to concern us – the economy – is only coyly mentioned in relation to poor Rishi’s dilemma relating to the state pension triple-lock because it’ll cost the Treasury more money.
It’s my contention that all this ‘fear porn’ has been and is being used to deepen the rift between “Them” and “Us”. The Westminster Village dwellers populating Whitehall, the MSM and indeed Parliament don’t even notice how they blithely provide incident after incident to demonstrate that “They” are more worthy than “Us”.
These items are all connected even though at first glance they don’t seem to have anything to do with each other. There’s the Afghanistan emergency debate in Parliament this morning. The HoC will start their sitting at 9.30am, the HoL at 11am. There’s also the Afghan refugee ‘crisis’ which allows me to swerve elegantly into ‘data collecting’ and ‘covid’.
During these holiday weeks we’ve read about the PCR tests travellers to foreign beaches have to provide to T&T. There were indignant reports about travellers scrambling to the airports whenever our covid government switched a country from ‘green’ to ‘amber’ or ‘red’. That meant more tests and more and longer quarantine – all to be paid for by the travellers. Now we learn that private PCR Test firms have been unable to hand over the 150,000 test result which our NHS Apps T & T enforcers need so urgently:
“Travellers are spending more than £11 million on these PCR tests, at a cost of £75 each on average. The tests have been designed to enable the Government to detect the import of variants that could threaten the vaccination programme. But more than 40 per cent of the results from the 350,000 PCR tests a week on amber list travellers are being recorded as “unregistered” because the travel test firms have failed to pass on holidaymakers’ personal data to the Government.” (paywalled link)
Dearie me! The covid government can’t get the private data it needs to ‘protect’ us from new variants! At the same time they’re going to allow thousands, nay hundreds of thousands of Afghan refugees into our country with no passports or any documents, and of course they won’t have had covid tests. Afghanistan is on the government’s covid red list … but let’s not quibble about that!
Next – the MPs. Many of them are on holidays like the unfortunate Dominic Raab who’s been blamed for not predicting the unravelling of the Afghan Army and government. In an aside we’re informed that
“MPs are not required to attend the debate, but those who want to must do so in person as the regulations allowing for participation via video have lapsed.” (link, paywalled)
So – no Zoom HoC then! Will the dear peacocks still have to observe the social distancing rules? Not that it matters because the uselessness of our representatives is here for all to see: this ‘emergency debate is such an emergency that MPs don’t really have to attend! It’s an exercise in government theatrics, a production created to satisfy the MSM and us peasants, to show that they take very seriously ‘the concerns of the people as declared in the MSM Newsrooms’.
And then we read that “They”, the MPs and their spouses and kids, are permitted to ‘reclaim’ the costs for those PCR tests which “Us” have to pay for ourselves:
“Under rules set by the Commons’ spending watchdog, MPs can be reimbursed for the cost of returning to parliament for an emergency sitting during recess. In an email circulated on Monday the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (Ipsa) said that this included the cost of modifying or rebooking PCR tests needed to make it to the UK in time for the debate.” (link, paywalled)
I’m sure we plebs are only too happy to shell out more money to keep the MPs, a segment of the ‘Great, Green and Good’, from having to go begging in the streets because they can’t afford those extra PCR tests! Not that they’d ever question the need for these tests.
Will they decide to let all those Afghan refugees into our country without having tested them for covid? After all, it’s surely rude to ask if they might not possibly harbour some as yet unknown but ‘deadly’ variant, never mind asking them to show a vaccine passport. I wonder how our covid tsars will deal with this problem. Will there be one rule for “Them”, the refugees, and one for “Us”, the plebs who’ll pay for those extra tests, for the extra jabs? Will “They” be given smartphone to run “Our NHS Covid App” on?
There’s another strange point to this Afghan debate. In true ‘fear porn’ manner we’ve been treated to images of fleeing Afghans – mostly young men, as per usual. The spectre of millions of them – three million, according to the latest ‘for’ reports – wanting to come here has also been raised. “We” are apparently willing and able to take in 20,000. That’s for the time being, of course, because millions are already sitting in Iran and Turkey.
However, “we” shouldn’t be afraid of them, that would be inhumane. No – as the first Afghans have landed here (link), “we” must be afraid that the Taliban might kick the remaining Brits out before all have been gathered in (link). Perhaps some might even decide to stay, given that Taliban leaders have told the world that they’ll not prosecute women (link).
Our returning peacocks can do nothing about any of that. They will however publicly signal their virtue by demanding that even more Afghan refugees need to be taken in, garnished with finger-pointing and apportioning blame. “They” won’t address the jaw-dropping revelation in the wake of the Plymouth mass shooting: civilian employees but not the police were checking the circumstances of those applying for gun licences (link, paywalled). They’re of course going to overlook the threat of islamic terrorists abusing this generous offer from our government to take everybody in, no documents required.
Here’s another, proper ‘fear item’. The US security entities, now declaring they had warned Biden, are now claiming to know that the Taliban has already permitted Al Qaeda to return to Afghanistan (link). How did they find that out? Through ‘social media’? After all, the Taliban have twitter accounts … (link).
It’s strange though, isn’t it, that the real danger of terrorist attacks hasn’t found its way onto the list of ‘fear porn’ items our MSM are bombarding us with. Well, “They” are protected, “we” will have to make do with ‘anti-terrorism bollards’ and with providing our data to anyone ‘from the government’ who demands them. “We” will have to show covid passports if we want to live a normal life, “we” are expected to submit to this government controlling us at every step. Meanwhile the Afghan refugees and indeed all the rest of the illegal invaders can run free because nobody knows who they are.
The rift between “Them” and “Us” is growing, with a new rift opening between “Us” and a new “Them”, the refugees and illegal immigrants. “We” are meant not to talk about that because that would be racist and inhumane. However, it’ll be “Us” who’ll pay for all that, not either of those “Thems”. That’s why the issue of the triple lock for state pensions has made it into the papers today: “we”, that is our elderly, surely can be expected to sacrifice, especially since “They” have protected them with jabs, now to be triple jabs.
Meanwhile, “we” better stay afraid, very afraid – of all the ‘fear porn’ items which the MSM provide thanks to government propaganda. On no account must “we” become so afraid of the machinations of “Them”, enjoying their self-appointed role as overlords, that we actually go and do something about that.
KBO!

I am incandescent with rage that the Parliament was recalled to hold an emergency sitting regarding the events in Afghanistan. Where have been the emergency sittings to discuss the dire happenings that are occurring here in Britain and which threaten our lives far more severely than worrying about events in a country in which we should never have interfered in the first place!!!
We upset the balance in Iraq and Libya etc., in the name of replacing dictatorship government and installing democracy! Now we find that in our own land a similar totalitarian, dictatorship has emerged that is likely to prove far more deadly in the longer term to the ‘status quo’ way of life that has been endemic for centuries. Where are the bleeding hearts to wring their hands over our fate?
I read today that George Bernard Shaw (a Fabianist) wrote that the plan was to bring about change by permeation not revolution. Well they certainly are doing everything possible to permeate as many of the ‘alternative religion and culture’ as possible into Britain! If that isnt treachery and treason I don’t know what is! Maybe its time to consider the second of GBS’s options!
You should have a watch or read this interview by Brian Gerrish for the UK Column. These are very well qualified people to talk about the vaccines: very worrying.
‘France’s long-time vaccine policy chief: Covid policy is “completely stupid” and “unethical”‘
https://www.ukcolumn.org/video/frances-long-time-vaccine-policy-chief-covid-policy-is-completely-stupid-and-unethical
I think all the “refugees” the gov. is blythly inviting over here will cost the taxpayer a lot more money than any triple lock.
The Tories need to remember where the majority of their vote lies.
The shire Tory voters may grumble but at the end of the day as long as they don’t have to bump into the ‘refugees’ at the farm shop, village fete, pub, or their local school attendess don’t take on a darker shade they will, on the whole, keep supporting the Tories. If the developers bulldozers start rumbling in then the Tory MP may be looking at rejection of course.
The big question is, will the red wall Tory MPs be seeking a new career after the next election as the ‘lent vote’ to get Brexit done is no longer relevant. Will they demand the shire Tory constituencies equally shoulder the housing/social/schooling/health needs of the burgeoing migrant population to keep their urban white low income voters on side. Let the battle between the shire and urban Tories begin. Let the Tories start tearing themselves apart. Delicious!
An interesting fact. :–Trickle down works.
It appears to be a well known fact in the city that 4.5 % of printed money from government does reach the plebs economy as promised.
The remainder stays in the City and its’ financial institutions. Ask a Regulator and he will affirm that it is to strengthen balance sheets as the favourite excuse.. Labour peers probably believe that.
This is rather good and tells it like it is:
“Hitler reacts to the fall of Afghanistan”
https://youtu.be/8T1txBRoQxQ
It has always been true that those living in London feel they understand these things better. They certainly hear a lot more of it . Everyone anywhere in London has contact of somr kind with someone with some claim to knowledge.. Londoners therefore have always felt superior in an argument, even in the pub. However there has always been an undercurrent of dislike and rejection. I believe . I believe that this sector until recently, was powerful and was to be found in the London Local papers , gossip, local phone calls. and around the tea and coffee machines or the cleaners corner; and, of course, primarily, the Pubs..
It is obvious that more than anything else it has been and still is a WAR ON PUBS.ongoing since the hidden talk about the EU fuelled by Nigel and his pint and fag. It dare not be mentioned, but it ‘ had to be done’ and as secretely as possible in any way possible, no matter what ..As sneakily as possible but hard, but above all, unconnected.( Hence always SAGE and the NHS )
Go to the pub tonight and tomorrow and the night after and talk politics and laugh as much as possible, and if anyone tries to stop you, go to another.. If some twit tries to stop you leaning on the bar, Go elsewhere.
Some good news. A group of scientists have come out and said that CO2 is not responsible for increasing temperatures; it is the sun!
https://wattsupwiththat.com/2021/08/16/climate-scientists-accuse-the-ipcc-of-cherrypicking-datasets-which-support-their-alarmist-narrative/
Is some common sense starting to emerge? Of course that argument will not suit government so we must wait and see if it is suppressed.
Is some common sense starting to emerge? I very much doubt it. Common sense and genuine science has said and shown all this for decades, to no effect. The rational explanation has been blotted out of the media and public consciousness, with a fanatical fake news substitute, as effectively as was the sun after Krakatoa.
All else is conspiracy theory and any one who challenges the narrative is a denier with evil in their heart. Hitler said that if you want to control a population you have to deal with opposition, then you should accuse the other side of the sin or trickery that you yourself are using. In modern parlance: projection. And it is everywhere; there is no rational MSM or political discourse on any topic any more, large or small.
Just a few narratives that randomly come to mind out of the smothering miasma:
* Any media outlet/person questioning or declaiming anything other than ‘correct’ leftist views on any topic is dangerously right wing extremist.
* Islamist terror atrocities are down to mentally unstable individuals and not driven by Islam, which is demonstrably a RoP, and does not have an imperative to take over the world.
* Lone misfit, mentally unstable, druggy white individuals committing random atrocities are driven by widespread white supremacist/neoNazi/incel online groups who want to take over the world.
* The US election was not stolen.
* Biden is competent.
* The Earth is warming dangerously.
* CO2 is a poison.
* Man-made CO2 is measurably affecting Earth’s temperature.
* Renewable energy (barring geothermal and hydro) is cheap and reliable.
* Manufacture and disposal of renewable energy plant is free from pollution, does not consume vast amounts of natural resources in manufacture and does not emit vast amounts of CO2 in the process.
* Electric cars from manufacture to disposal are free from pollution.
* There was/is a pandemic.
* The virus is mortal danger to the vast majority of the population.
* The jabs are not a poison.
* The jabs work.
* Lockdowns work.
* On the balance of risk, lockdowns are worth it.
* Children are not harmed by prolonged mask wearing or isolation.
* BLM is benign movement.
* CRT is a fact
* Sex is not determined at birth
* Splitting society into ever smaller and diverse ‘communities’ with protected characteristics is not part of a divisive divide and conquer agenda.
* Most migrants are refugees
* Britain is not one of the most densely populated countries in the world and has vast areas and resources to take in all the world’s needy.
Yes Phil O’Sophical, I totally agree with you.
Well Bojo and his wife believe CO2 IS causing Global Warming. So I’ve just emailed privateoffice@no10.x.gsi.gov.uk Boris Johnson, stop breathing. You are producing CO2!!
What if we all do that?
I was watching an interview with a Brazilian journalist – they have really good journalists in Brazil – she went to Afghanistan ten years ago and told this story.
When the US army went to train Afghan soldiers, they discovered that their tradition after defecating was to clean their rear ends with a rock, sort of give it a good scoop out or something like that.
The US army sent out thousands of toilet rolls so the Afghan soldiers would be able to use the toilets at US camps, even providing instructions on how to use them. Very soon the sewers and systems were blocked up with rocks, such was the level of ignorance.
You can’t blame the Afghans, this has been their way for probably thousands of years and that highlights the extreme difference between their culture and ours.
If we take on Afghan refugees in Britain, not only will there be a complete and utter culture clash but we will always have to support them as people separated by a thousand years of development, will never be productive in our culturally and technologically advanced society. This will be yet another complete disaster by our politicians and virtue signalling lefties.
Let’s face it, globalists are engineering these crises to drive refugees to our shores, they would like to destroy the West as quickly as possible. There is nothing new under the sun, this is a technique used by Genghis Khan.
Good points flyer; I’m sure these refugees will be a problem for years if they are let in. How does government intend to exclude members of the Taliban with the specific intent to do us harm? Maybe the prospective refugees should have fought back against the Taliban in years past.
We can’t afford to look after the world.
Who voted to go into Afghanistan anyway? I certainly did not.
Pauline – it doesn’t matter who voted to go into Afghanistan. We, the people, are mere onlookers. When the time comes for voting, the powers- that-be know full well that we can be relied upon to do as we’ve always done, unquestioningly, give-or-take a few bribes. So, we get what we’ve always got. Once we have handed over the reins, our views don’t count. It is THAT elementary, Watson.
Yes Michael. I KNOW THAT. That’s why I ask these questions.
Your local Indian takeaway chef probably uses his fingers to wipe his a**e. Think about that while you’re slurping your curry down.

This BTW is normal for them, not the exception.
