The future is bright – the future is apps 

 

I don’t know about you but I am heartily sick of the incessant ‘news’, the ongoing covid propaganda by vested interests in Whitehall, Downing Street and the Westminster MSM. I can’t produce the necessary outrage any longer, for example about kids down to 12 years old are now going to be pressured into getting a covid jab, just as the old are being told to get their 3rd one. The arguments have been made repeatedly, the graph-obsessed SAGEs and Mandarins prevail and so we’re one step further down the road to serfdom. 

Thanks to decades of ‘educashun’ and the proliferation of social meejah it’s clear that thinking for oneself, that individualism, self-determination and privacy are too old-fashioned  for words. You recall the ‘promises’ made by the Cameron after the ‘London Riots’ ten years ago? How the great and good were surreptitiously displaying sympathy for the poor, deprived inner-city kids because they hadn’t been taught properly by their teachers?

Now, ten years later, we watch aghast as the teachers’ unions have done everything to get out of fulfilling their duty to teach while kids are told they must get jabs. While there’s the odd voice here and there, the Westminster MSM, well paid for the propaganda spewed out on behalf of the covid government, are silent. 

The fine art of connecting dots has practically vanished. Certainly the ‘great editors’ and ‘opinion piece writers’ have unlearned to do so. They’ve forgotten about asking inconvenient questions. The unholy alliance of national MSM and the few civil serpents still working in Westminster have produced a heavy blanket of manufactured fear which fuels mistrust and encourages Stasi-like behaviour. Is it because they rely on apps?

It’s also interesting to speculate why it is that we get to read about governments demanding that masks be worn even indoors, even by double jabbees – but nothing about all those who have ditched their masks. News about the invasion of illegal migrants across the Channel have been relegated to ‘somewhere in local papers’. Is it because there’s some secret algorithm?

Here’s another dot which needs connecting. For example, the green blob keep warning us about ‘climate catastrophe’, one of the signs being heavy rainfalls and flooding. That same group is hell-bent on forcing us to ‘celebrate’ diversity and what amounts to overpopulating our country. That same lot demands ‘more houses’ everywhere, especially in rural areas.

So what to make of the report from a Lake District village which has stopped all new development because the sewage system isn’t coping, with raw sewage erupting through manholes after every rain (link, paywalled)? Where are the intrepid reporters asking if this is happening elsewhere? If sewage utilities have invested in enlarging these capacities given the huge rise in population numbers? Is mentioning ‘sewage’ somehow indelicate?

Here’s another example: why is nobody asking on the one hand about Sunak – now being pushed as BJ-Replacement – advising ‘young people’ to go back to working in offices because that would be beneficial for their careers (link, paywalled) while on the other hand civil serpents, especially of the Whitehall variety, will be permitted to WFH:

“The vast majority of Whitehall civil servants will not return full-time to the office under plans that would cap some at two days a week. Flexible working is likely to become permanent in the service, with plans being drawn up that would mean many staff spend most of their time at home. Despite ministers’ praise for the office, civil servants are not being ordered back to their desks as officials plan a “30/70 model” for many jobs.” (link, paywalled)

Perhaps – perish the thought! – all that staff of bureaucrats isn’t really necessary? Moreover, it’s strange, isn’t it, that ‘ministers’ and their mandarins are clearly trusting their staff to do their work unsupervised while at the same time they don’t trust us peasants even one inch, to live our lives without their ‘guidance’.

It’s however sadly possible that the guidance-producing Whitehall ‘top brass’ is relying on ever more sophisticated computer programmes and apps to supervise those WFH workers – programmes and apps which then could be rolled out to all of us. That infamous NHS ping app is a great example – not just for the ineptitude of the creators but for the docile acceptance by huge numbers of people who simply comply because a computer tells them to. 

Here’s one last quote which makes me despair about the future state of our country. Even after last year’s lockdowns affecting so many pupils, disrupting their education, even after this lockdown result was bewailed up and down the MSM, there’s this (my emphasis):

“Government departments are being left to decide whether staff return to the office, in contrast to last summer’s drive to get civil servants back at their desks. Officials said numbers in Whitehall would increase only “gradually and cautiously” after a minister said yesterday that only about a quarter of staff were in the Department for Education on any given day.” (link, paywalled)

No wonder teachers’ unions can trample on government demands to get back to school: there are no civil serpents producing ‘guidance’ in a timely fashion! I won’t place a bet on the percentage of staff being present in other departments, especially the DHSC which seems to be run by SAGEs exclusively. 

While the MSM are still heaving with reports from the Tokyo Olympics, here’s one puzzle which they disregard totally: why is it that at all those venues, outdoors or indoors, the coaches and the waiting athletes are all muzzled up? Why does nobody ask how come that the performing athletes aren’t dropping like flies, having been exposed to the virus-infected air unmuzzled as they run, ride or box? Why is there no ‘new hero’ of those games pointing out that this is not just demeaning but ridiculous? Have they, have we all become so exhausted by the covid fear and ‘guidance’ that we simply have become too tired to care?

It’s not boding well for our future …
