Apologies for the image – but he is ‘in the headlines’ … again

 

Yesterday’s ‘breaking news’, of Mr Zahawi having been sacked, is today’s main theme across the MSM front pages (link). The other ‘news’ is that the erstwhile PM, BJ, has made it into the headlines again with his claim that during a phone call last year Mr Putin threatened to kill him. Oh dear. 

Regarding the Zahawi Saga, I’ll say this ‘only once’: the political editors  of our glorious MSM have been behaving like toddlers in a supermarket: wailing and stomping their little feet until their exasperated mum gets them the sweet they crave. However, isn’t it extraordinary that they never report on MPs who do not do their duty towards their constituents? We recall the weaselly, bland replies MPs from different constituencies have sent to readers of these pages. These were Tory MPs. We’ll never know what answers, if any, Labour MPs send to their constituents. This isn’t ‘newsworthy’ though, not as far as the Westminster MSM are concerned. 

Let’s look at the ‘Putin said he’d kill me’ ‘news’ item. According to BJ’s recollections – we do remember that ‘recollections may vary’, don’t we! – Mr Putins said this in a long phone talk in February last year. Why is this now being made public? Because dear old Auntie Beeb has been preparing a three-part ‘documentary’, “Putin and the West”. The first part will be broadcast today. 

Clearly, some Westminster editors were given a sneak preview because this ‘statement’ is in this morning’s editions. In the text published by Al Beeb we find this sentence: “It is impossible to know if Mr Putin’s threat was genuine.” (link). You don’t say! Still, the Westminster MSM are convinced it’s true, from the DM which interprets this BJ statement as ‘Mr Putin bragged ..’ (link) to the DT putting Mr Putin’s alleged threat in the context of sanctions BJ said would happen. They quote BJ’s own interpretation of yon remark:

“I think from the very relaxed tone that he was taking, the sort of air of detachment that he seemed to have, he was just playing along with my attempts to get him to negotiate,” Mr Johnson said.”(paywalled link)

Obviously, the mainstay of the Westminster establishment and those believing they belong to it, The Times, also had to put their oar in:

“President Putin warned Boris Johnson that he could easily kill him with a missile during an “extraordinary” phone call before Russia invaded Ukraine, the former prime minister said.” (link, paywalled)

They seem to believe BJ’s ‘interpretation’, that Russia has this super-secret missile with which Mr Putin can kill just one person … The rest of those reports on the BBC ‘documentary’ are dealing with the meetings Ben Wallace had with Mr Shoigu, two weeks before the SMO started. The Russians, we’re told, are all liars because they said, two weeks before the 24th of February, that they wouldn’t invade – and then they did. 

Leaving aside the constant “he said – I said”, what is again lacking is the context, i.e. a description of the actual situation in the Ukraine at that time We’re led to believe that everything was peaceful, no Ukrainian was doing anything. Those of us who get our news unfiltered by Westminster propaganda remember that two days before the SMO started, the Ukrainian military had been shelling the towns and cities in the Donbass to an extent not seen in the preceding years.

This doesn’t fit the narrative, so it’s being left unsaid and unreported. I’ve obviously not seen that BBC ‘documentary’, but I do wonder why, at this particular time, BJ is allowed to whitewash himself, painting himself as the Ukrainian patron saint, battling with yon terrible Russians from the start. 

I am certain that MI6 has the full transcript of that phone talk. It would be irresponsible if they didn’t. Clearly, they cannot make it public. That would also be irresponsible. Se we have to accept BJ’s words as ‘truth’. Well, it’s ‘his truth’ and so we mustn’t gainsay it … Moreover, let’s not ask if any Premier, PM, President would be happy to talk to our PM, now and in future, when they cannot know if their remarks will be splashed across the UK’s MSM. 

In a delicious footnote to the ‘he said’ remarks by Mr Wallace in yon BBC Documentary, there’s a report in the DM according to which:

“US general warns British Army ‘is no longer regarded’ as a top-level fighting force and is ‘unable to protect the UK and our allies’ – British army is no longer a top-level fighting force, a US general reportedly said” (link)

I wonder which nations now have ‘top-level fighting forces’ … Don’t answer, this is a rhetorical question! Moving on, there was an opinion piece by Dan Hodges in yesterday’s DM, with the title “Truculence. Leaks. And now sabotage. Whitehall’s Blob is seizing the challenge to take its revenge” (link). It’s worth a read, especially since it sank without a trace. Moreover, next to it there was a report which nicely illustrates this claim, on Whitehall going to scupper Sunak’s ‘asylum rights revolution’, according to ‘sources’ (link).

Well, ‘sources will source’ … The interesting point here is that this same debate is being held in Germany, where yet another ‘refugee’ killed two teenagers last week. It’s always: ‘But ‘Teh Law’ doesn’t allow us to remove yon murderers and criminals’! In Germany as here in the UK, the fact that laws can be changed, can be repealed, doesn’t seem to enter the debate. When MPs are more fearful of being attacked in antisocial meejah and in the Westminster Press than taking responsibility, we are where we are. Let’s just remember what happened to Mr Bridgens …

I leave you with a piece of wokery which is beyond belief. Two major theatres in Canada “[…] have sparked outrage by announcing exclusive performances for an “all black-identifying audience” (paywalled link). However, if a whitey ‘self-identifies as black’, they’ll be politely told at the doors that they are not welcome – by ‘white staff’. Given the interpretation by BLM regarding the murder of a black man by black police officers, that yon officers were ‘unconsciously white’, I wonder how long until the wokery crashes, due to their now irresolvable inherent contradictions. 

That’s all I have for today. Is the BBC, are the Westminster MSM now surreptitiously working towards a BJ ‘comeback’? Does it slowly dawn on them that, actually, a Labour government would be worse because nothing would change except they’d be unable to criticise such government? Hm. Have a good day.
