The drip-drip-drip of ‘atrocity’ reports and accusations, fake or not, of ‘genocide’ and ‘war crimes’ coming from one side only is hard to avoid. It might turn a normal person into an all-out cynic …
For example, there’s the ‘attack on a maternity and childrens’ hospital’ in Mariupol which the Ukrainian President declared to be ‘barbaric’, inhumane and ‘genocide’. The only accusation lacking was the one that Russian soldiers had ripped premature babies out of incubators. Since Russian troops aren’t yet in Mariupol that one would be too hard to swallow even for western MSM.
According to the BBC Mr Zelinski had video footage from inside that building – quite a feat, I’d have thought. There’s however this, from the BBC:
“A regional official told Ukrainian media that at least 17 people were injured, including staff and patients. Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk regional administration which includes the port city of Mariupol, said no deaths had been confirmed, and there were no confirmed injuries amongst children. He said the attack happened during an agreed ceasefire with the Russian side, according to Interfax Ukraine.” (link)
17 people injured, not even dead? Some genocide, some warcrime! How come Mr Z wasn’t informed? Does he only believe some twitter-videos? Is this how the west justifies their warmongering? Clearly, “we”, who don’t believe a word coming out of Russia cannot believe a word this Ukrainian official has said. No, there’s only one ‘trustworthy’ source, and that is Mr Z. I’ll quote the DT, an example standing for the rest of the MSM reports:
“Ukraine’s president has accused Russia of “genocide” after it bombed a children’s hospital and maternity ward in Mariupol on Wednesday. [He] called the strike “beyond atrocity” and accused Moscow of a “crime that reflects all evil that the invaders have brought on us”.” (paywalled link)
Now let’s hear the other side. It’s what we used to expect from the times before our MSM were turned into government propaganda outlets. It used to come under ‘unbiased reporting’:
“Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dmitry Polyanskiy dismissed reports about an attack on a hospital in Mariupol as fake news. Earlier, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres condemned in his Twitter an “attack on a hospital in Mariupol, Ukraine, where maternity & children’s wards are located,” as “horrific,” noting that civilians are “paying the highest price for a war that has nothing to do with them”. Polyanskiy wrote on Twitter in response to Guterres’ statement: “That’s how #Fakenews is born. We warned in our statement back on 7 March (https://russiaun.ru/en/news/070322n) that this hospital has been turned into a military object by radicals. Very disturbing that UN spreads this information without verification.”. (link)
Ah well – why would top western politicians need to verify anything! After all, it must be true when it’s on Ukrainian social media. We, after all, must also believe that whatever Mr Z. says is true, especially when he accuses Russia and Putin?
Unsurprisingly, “we” must believe the next ‘horror warning’ as well. After Ms Nuland had to confirm that the US did run biolabs in Ukraine, this warning is an attempt at deflection, to keep the biolab issue off the front pages. This ‘warning’ utilised the attack on that maternity hospital as ‘proof’:
“Vladimir Putin is plotting to use chemical weapons in Ukraine, Western officials fear, after his air force bombed a maternity hospital in a “depraved” attack that shocked the world. There is now “serious concern” that the Russian president will order an “utterly horrific” attack using chemical or biological weapons, as Moscow ramped up allegations that Kyiv is itself planning to deploy them in the battlefield.” (paywalled link)
Have the infamous ‘White Helmets’ now relocated from Syria to Kiev? Better bring on the sanctions, right? Let the global energy markets crash with ‘disastrous consequences’ as Turkey has been warning (link). Who cares – people should simply turn down their heating, sez the EU’s Mr Borrell! That’s the best way to make the EU ‘Russian Gas Free’ by 2030 (link). Why does this proposal remind me so forcefully of Johnson’s ‘Net Zero’ and the banning of gas boilers for home heating …
Perish the thought that western politicians were happy to let this war begin in order to achieve that ‘Great Reset’ and the Net Zero policies. Let’s not entertain the thought that western politicians are rubbing their hands in glee because they can now blame everything, from an economic crash to inflation, on Putin.
Here’s another interesting ‘warning’, coming from Biden. We’ve been aware for some time that certainly the Bank of England is working on digital money, akin to crypto currencies. Biden’s administration is now working on similar plans and aims at controlling crypto currencies:
“US regulators and politicians have been clamoring for restrictions on crypto for years, eager for the tax revenue they suspected could be gleaned from the 40 million Americans who have invested in or traded crypto. However, the Biden administration has more recently sought to frame such currencies as lifelines for sanctioned Russian oligarchs.” (link)
So it ain’t really about ‘sanction evasion’ but about treasury control and taxes … wonderful, isn’t it, for what all Putin can be blamed. I wonder though what ‘Mr Tesla’, a.k.a. Elon Musk, a heavy bitcoin investor, will have to say about that …
Meanwhile, speaking of sanctions, life will become really tough in Russia: Macdonald’s and other fast food chains have stopped feeding hungry Russians, CocaCola won’t provide them with their stuff either (link) and amazon stops delivering stuff and streaming videos to Russia and Belarus (link). And still those benighted Russians support Putin!
Here’s a text, an interview, which you might like to read. The authors point out that the west has been wrong about Russia and Putin for twenty years. They also raise the question of why Russia went to war now, at this time. Remember, the civil war, the attacks by Ukrainians on the mostly Russian-speaking people in the separatist regions of the Donbass have, after all, been going on for eight year. Another source reports:
“It has long been suspected that the Russians did not go into Ukraine just to oppose the war-crimes against the breakaway republics. […] What has also come to light […] was that Ukraine was planning a mass invasion of Eastern Ukraine scheduled for March. These documents came to light during the course of the ongoing war.” (link)
Russia has now got the documents (check the above link) and it’s surely not inconceivable that their intelligence services knew this was being planned. We remember the increased shelling across these separatist regions coming from Ukraine as documented by the OSCE – days before Russian troops crossed into Ukraine.
Russia has now also got the documents proving that the USA did run biolabs in Ukraine – see this report providing screenshots and documents, listing the money spent and by whom as well as the dates when these institutes were funded. It would of course be churlish to mention in this context the unravelling covid and vaccine ‘story’ and the involvement of US institutions, now documented by the likes of Mr Fuellgraf and Robert J Kennedy jr.
It’s -15ºC and snowing in Moscow but here’s a nice taste of things to come for the USA. Americans will now have to show that they are happy to freeze, to demonstrate their solidarity with Ukraine. There’s a ‘bomb cyclone’ coming which will ‘wallop the NE with heavy snow’, according to Accuweather (link). The weather is clearly unbiased but Russians won’t have to shiver in their cold homes. Tough, innit …
We might be spared the meteorological cold for now but we’d better start practising freezing inside our homes – a ‘small sacrifice’. Let’s forget that the first tranche of the extortionate fuel prices we’ll have to pay came already into being in October 2021, ‘before Putin’. From now on everything is going to be Putin’s fault if you believe our Westminster swamp dwellers. I wonder if he’s also been twiddling with that global warming which doesn’t seem to follow green blob predictions.
Meanwhile we’d better stock up on hottiebotties and blankets while we can, before there’s a shortage caused by Putin.
Stout, Phil O, Biscotte etc:
Don’t leave this off your list of unreported (by MSM) horrors:
https://off-guardian.org/2022/02/26/who-planning-new-pandemic-treaty-for-2024/
And now for something different and I hope practical.
Near me there are grandiose schemmes for acres of photovoltaic panels and “batteries” to be established on good farm land.
Like everybody else I depracate this practice a) because they`ll probably spend millions in China buying the hardware and b) we will lose food production.
However I think I can suggest a way to help them out.
In the past in my area East Lincolnshire they have been recovering substantial areas from the shallow seas, forming a barricade seaward and then pumping sandy water ashore behind the barrier and hey presto after a decent period when the salt has worn out you get productive farmland.
In fact the scheme could be endless, even reclaiming the whole North Sea . The Dutch do it
Doris is fighting them on beaches, fighting them in the hills ……..we will never surrender!
Boris Johnson has said the move to ban Russian oil and gas will punish Vladimir Putin’s regime but will be introduced in a way that ‘won’t affect’ UK businesses
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10590115/Queue-pumps-prices-near-2-litre.html
Some garages in London are already charging prices between 1.60 and 1.99 per litre.
Or, in Harold Wilson speak ……’this will not affect the pound in your pocket’.
We live near refineries and one garage has just put petrol up to £1.72 per litre. Nuts, or nut nuts?
I do not understand. It is all merely emperors new clothes. As Stout says ” Its just another crisis caused by foolish Yanks, not going to waste by politicians, and fostered by civil services avoiding blame aided by money controlled media, and with a crazed BBC,that’s lost perspective, leading the charge.
Go round the Pub.
Very interesting Viv. As usual you have delved deep.
Meanwhile our ability to frack for energy has not won it’s battle for survival. No, it is only a ‘stay of execution’ till June.
Excellent. Another cracker. You have pre-empted at least three points I was going to make, today.
Sorry about that, P O’S – but thanks for your kind words!
No. That’s fine. You were far more succinct than I would have been.
Was it Winston Churchill who said never let a crisis go to waste? That is, a crisis is an opportunity to do something not otherwise politically possible. Our goverment is certainly seizing the opportunity and not just to save Boris from a no-confidence vote (though he is seizing an opportunity personally) but also to increase state powers. I’ve been horrifed by the enthusiasm to freeze bank accounts and seize assets, enshrined in an economic warfare bill that effectively allows ministers to exercise arbitrary power without a court warrant.
The Treasury, working on a digital currency with the Bank of England, is looking at making the currency programmable. That is, allowing the state to control what you can spend, when, where and on what. Is there ever power that the state does not ultimately exerise? The capacity to rationalise what was previously unthinkable by minsters is unlimited. A cartoon, tweeted recently, showed a shop assistant telling a customer “I’m sorry sir. Your card has been declined due to your political views”. That already happens in China.
I grew up fearing the loss of liberty under communism (and stories of brain-washing particularly horrifed me). Now I fear the loss of liberty under our own governments and see brain-washing at work right here.
SY- you sort of beat me to it.
Interesting to see what is not being reported (feel free to add to it)
Boris booze-ups (- got away with it guys)
Annexation of Northern Ireland to common market
Greece bail out (again)
Food prices in Great Britain
Green taxes, fuel taxes, insulation, boilers, end of the world tax, global warming tax, parking outside your house tax, VAT, tax, tax. And more tax.
The buried scamdemic efficacy reports, and its repercussions – plus purchasing and contracts to friends and family, not to mention muzzling doctors and anyone going against the World government narrative
No discussion allowed, cancelled, silenced, ignored, shouted down, you are racist, misogynist, fascist, islamophobic (whatever happened to that?) and or nazi just like ukraine
I said not to mention muzzling
Italy leaving the united states of europe
Current inflation rate (three times current pension increases)
Electric everything and no means of servicing the need
War by proxy over the hills and far away
The european arrest warrant, and the similar united States arrest warrant – habeas corpus anyone?
A good opportunity to bury something or other. Also somebody or other
Canada, Spain and NZ and more, suppressing their own citizens with foreign (UN and Far Eastern) storm troopers, and redistributing citizens’ legal donations – smart meter that we can turn off remotely anyone?
Various countries putting up physical barriers to economic migration (and fined for it)
The computer of the moth eaten president’s Son
A foreigner dictating to europe what it shall do (“You shall have no other gods before Me.” – Exodus 20:3)
Economic migrant boat people escorted across the Channel from war torn france.
VAT on fuel, brought in by conservative mp living in the coldest place in Great Britain and a promise to repeal it
I’ll stop there, plenty to be going on with.
Instead all things Russian bad . . . reminds me of statues decapitated during the french revolution. A good example is a famous burned out Cathedral that the mob descended on. Next time you are in Paris, look above the main door. They were KINGS of Israel, so fair game right.
There is indeed plenty. Were I to add to your list we would take up more space than is properly due for a comment. I’ll just emphasise that before the Western provoked misjudgement by Putin, the NI Protocol was about to come to a head, something Boris was very keen to avoid because I am sure he was not going to invoke article 16 and that is far worse than birthday cake – a reverse Marie Antoinette, not ‘let them eat cake’ but ‘we will eat cake when you cannot’ (but identical mindsets of the civil service and the ancien regime in France). Also, the Pfizer documents might have got more attention just as SAGE was being exposed. Yet, even if the invasion of Ukraine ends soon, the apparent distraction over, these issues will not come back because there is no opposition in this country anymore, no political party entitled to air time raising the profile of everything in your list and a globalist MSM happy to present only illusory views of the world.
Could add the ludicrously and deliberately misnamed Online Safety Bill; that’s ‘safety’ for oppressive governments and the permanently offended useful idiots.
And the new Bill of Rights doing the very opposite. Granting rights is a continental thing; the anglo-sphere had every right unless expressly forbidden by law or transgressing another’s rights. How dare they give us rights; but it is not even that: once again it is the opposite; are curtailing rights.
And insidiously creeping reorganisation of the NHS to allow the monitoring (surveillance) of healthy people and the NHS App morphing into a digital ID by any other name.
Stout. I tend to agree with you. The way the U.K. seems to be heading is very much like the way Communist China is run.
Listen to this for a verbal summary of where we are if you want an alternative to the BBC/MSM and Pfiffer and crew. A full 26 minutes.
May last a few hours before being taken down.

A lot of shouting. And I shall tell you the other side of the narrative . . . (after 8 min 20).
Thanks JB. Yep, I don’t think he missed anything. Except that the comedian/actor was hand picked by Igor Kolomoiski and groomed, as the public was groomed, and guided into playing the role. Two days ago the BBC ran a piece about his TV ‘comedy’ series, Servant of the People.
They wrote with no irony and no understanding of what they were saying:
“A man with no political experience becoming the president of a country with a population of millions. If the political rise of Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky sounds like the plot of a TV show – that’s because it is. Before taking Ukraine’s top political job, President Zelensky was the star of Servant of the People – a comedy series which started in 2015, following a teacher who becomes president after a video of him ranting about politics goes viral.” Well knock me down with a feather.
They added that after it was aired here, one viewer told Radio 1 Newsbeat that watching the show made her “admire him more,” than she already did.” Yes, that was the point, and that, and a lot of other shady goings on, was how he got elected.
Kolomoiski planned it: picked him for the role and funded the TV series, and probably his Florida Villa and bulging bank account. He is an artefact, a puppet.
And don’t forget Phil he was a graduate of Klaus Schwab’s “Young Global Leaders” school.
As the Slog commented;
Zelensky graduated in 2000, as did Trudeau. In July 2019, Zelensky credited the Canadian Prime Minister with “inspiring him to get into politics.”
He was propelled with massive social media funding via the bankers into the top job at something approaching the speed of light….as of course was Macron in France (also sporting Davos as an alma mater as does Adhern).
Zelensky bought a villa in Miami for $34 million which is peanuts compared to the $billion+ he was exposed as having accrued in the hacked Panama Papers.
He is a puppet/pawn a very rich one.
I am happy to be in my little eyrie amongst the dreaming roundabouts of my most recent home town of Newcastle u Lyme. We have to dream ‘cos there’s no shops. NuL and the potteries is ripe for an explosion of support for a proper Brexit Party, if there were ever to be one. In the meantime I recover from a dreaded ” Fall ” out of a low flying bed, and am now forever branded as “shakey ” or the horror of “uncertain “.
But never mind that, much more importantly,
I had the time and liberty to examine the vast underbelly of the NHS and its shenanigens, and to analyse and consider a few aspects.
Certain of the aspects are so obvious they only need mentioning as the ills of any nationalised industry: susch as the depthless bureaucracy. The endless fear of making a legally/professionally costly mistake ( Compensation) on one hand and the search for the same enriching and hopeful process on the other. Understandable I suppose, given the enormous percentage of NuL that works for the NHS, I would estimate close to 50%, directly directly or indirectly.
And finally. To Ukrain.
How daft do theyy think we are. Why are ukip not asking ?. It is all so clearly Americans, and their insane belief in the moral case of being American and the dollar, and rabid fo force it on the world. Almost everything american has to be questioned. It is not often good. Usually its just that they have a five times bigger population
Some really bad american ideas. : consumerism, disposable, deregulation, regulators, commisioners, sales as contracts, sloppy QC, majority is right, yelling not talk, noise is right, etc. treat not cure, sales is king,
TG Spokes……I have said it until I am blue in the face, UKIP has no influence on anything these days. Why are you not asking this question of Boris Johnson or any member of his government, or Reclaim, or SDP, or Britain First, or Heritage Party, or, or, or and or………..However it is always UKIP, the party with no MP’s, virtually no councilors, and with only about 4000 members nationwide.
TG Spokes………….I think everywhere (apart from Scotland) is ripe for a ‘proper Brexit Party’. However do not expect too much from the not very conservative Conservative Party under Johnson and Truss, or indeed Reform UK. The latter now more concerned about promoting a Net Zero referendum which will not happen, and nor will it revive their flagging fortunes either. Hopefully either UKIP or some other right leaning party will take over the ground where Reform UK have miserably failed.
It’s the Great Reset Jim but not the one we thought we were going to impose .
