Beware – here be all manner of rats!

Today is the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year. The darkness however seems to have affected the minds of the covid propagandists in the Westminster MSM. There’s ‘news’ about another heinous ‘get together’ in No 10 which has the Westminster swamp critters in a tizzy. There’s also the spin about Frosty’s resignation and MizTruss’ new role. More on that below.

Firstly and briefly though, there’s the news that this fabulous Omicron spike in London, the ‘spike’ which has made the SAGEs demand ‘moar lockdown now’, which has the covid tinpot dictators in the DHSC, from Javid down, insist on ‘moar boosters’, the spike which this covid government believes will apply to the whole of the country unless they can shoo us all back inside: this spike is due solely to ‘flawed’ numbers. What a surprise!

It turns out that half of those ‘covid patients’ currently in London hospitals were diagnosed after their admission for something else, something unrelated. You can read the report here. It simply adds to what we’ve said for some time: the covid and omicron ‘case’ numbers are wrong, the data are wrong, the covid emperors are clearly nekkid.

The use of wrong data to manipulate covid policies has been reported from across the world. The MSM covid propagandists might ask themselves if it’s not time to abandon their slavish attitude, pushing ever more restrictions on the rest of us. Perhaps they might find things more worthy of their attention, such as investigating the sorry state of our government. By ‘investigating’ I do not mean ‘chatting to chatty sources’, letting themselves be utilised to spin and twist ‘events’ in No 10 and Parliament in aid of nekkid power games of Tory politicians!

There’s a sorry postscript to Lord Frost’s resignation in which Tory Grandees are either accusing Lord Frost of disloyalty or acquiesce in this spin by saying nothing at all. For example, in the three days since Lord Frost’s resignation Sir John Redwood hasn’t mentioned this with one word in his Diary. That is certainly odd.

Then there’s Sir William Hague who has a column in RemainCentral. Either he is utterly outside of chats and gossip in the corridors of Westminster or Tory headquarters, meaning that his opinion is no more worthy than yours and mine – or he is the mouthpiece of what might be a wider group of ‘FoC’, drip-feeding their opinions via whatsapp into his or other willing spinners’ ears, in order to influence the wider public. Look at this paragraph in Hague’s opinion piece in The Times:

“It does not say much for [Lord Frost] that, having been plucked from nowhere by Johnson to be a political soulmate, elevated to the Lords and seated at the cabinet table — preferment that no other leader would ever have given him — he flounces off as soon as he disagrees with something.” (link, paywalled)

Words simply fail me! Does Hague, or rather the ‘source’ who produced this little wail for him to write, believe that it was Frosty’s duty to stand by his ‘friend’ Johnson to the bitter end of political death, regardless? Or that Frosty ought to have stood by Johnson, right or wrong, simply out of eternal gratitude, abandoning his own principles? It’s interesting that Lord Frost’s previous career is being downplayed – just read the first paragraphs in this wiki entry, insinuating that Johnson ‘elevated’ him in an act of cronyism.

Perhaps a certain lady in Johnson’s very close vicinity is trying desperately to discredit Frosty in retrospect. Not being cursed with entry to Carrie-Antoinette’s court, it looks to me as if, true to the age-old proceedings of any newly-wed woman, she is getting rid of Johnsons old friends by hook or crook and doesn’t mind if she is inadvertently making him look like a dolt for having such friends before she herself came onto the scene.

And finally – that other, latest ‘scandal’ of No 10 staff partying while the nation groaned under the covid restrictions. I’ll leave the manufactured outrage to the gossip columnists but shall point out two interesting aspects. One is that the photo and ‘reports’ of this ‘gathering’ appear only now. This ‘gathering’ took place on Friday 15th May 2020. Isn’t it strange that nothing leaked at the time?

Did the mighty in the MSM newsrooms perhaps sit on this rule-breaking gathering while they were pursuing Cummings’ rule-breaking trip to the North which ‘broke’ only a few days later? Was there a quid-pro-quo negotiated between a certain lady with a huge list of contacts in the MSM, along the lines ‘I give you Cummings if you leave this gathering and myself out of it’? After all, she is in plain sight in that infamous photo (link).

This manufactured uproar over the ‘omigawd – a gathering’ story is utterly decadent, not least because the usual suspects in No 10 are now using it for another ‘hunt’, for “a snappy rat” who took that photo from a window accessible only from the flat belonging to the Treasury overlord, Sunak, even though he’d not yet moved ito that flat (link). Let’s throw Sunak’s name into this poisonous brew anyway, they seem to think: something will eventually stick.

The ‘snappy rat’ hunters haven’t yet been told if taking that photo was more heinous than leaking it. As for me – I see the dainty little fingers of ‘her indoors’ all over this non-event, especially since none of those fearless MSM writers wonder that ‘herself’ is clearly involved, sitting there with her newborn boy on her lap. Either rules were broken by our ‘betters’ having a weekend drink, or it was a ‘business meeting’, in which case her presence demonstrates that she was and is part of the ruling clique in No 10. What a dilemma for Carrie to spin herself out of!

All of this shows that there is indeed something very rotten in No 10. Don’t rely on the covid MSM to investigate. They are shoring up Johnson because that’s where their money comes from, in the form of their precious access to the very select group of anonymous ‘sources’, always ‘highly placed’ in No 10. Am I the only one who wonders if there’s actually only one ‘highly placed’ source, with the name ‘Carrie’?

We’ll have more fun and games over Christmas when the actual ‘rats’, the snappy, squealing or chatty ones, will surreptitiously scramble to leave the sinking ship that is BoJo & Carrie’s Court at No 10.
