The latest monster we must hate …
My two-day, health-induced absence (a bad migraine: don’t try this at home, children!) from the PC and all other media has had an interesting result. It proved to me there’s indeed nothing new under the sun. The MSM are still doing precisely what they did before I went away: writing and publishing the same propaganda which of course isn’t propaganda because “it’s alright when we do it”.
While Mr Zelensky tells the world that Ukraine must accept that they won’t join NATO, the MSM are again full of war ‘news’, about ‘barbaric Russia’, about ‘plucky Ukrainians’. It’s futile to point out again and again that the ‘war junkies’, the western MSM reporters, are either incapable of discerning who is shelling whom or are told not to ask questions which would put the ‘heroic Ukrainian soldiers’ in a bad light.
I wonder if Mr Z.’s change of tune might be due to the fact that it’s his Army which is running out of munition and stuff and is stuck – not the Russians as our MSM crow about. I note that the destruction of that compound where western mercenaries and huge amounts of NATO weapons had been stored has suddenly sunk without a trace while we’re getting report of poor babushkas telling western reporters how horrible things are.
What ‘our’ MSM do not report is that the people in the Donbass region, the two republics now separated from Ukraine, have been living with these shellings for eight years. No western reporter has gone into Luhansk. The shelling of the Donetsk centre has also vanished from the pages. perhaps it’s inconvenient to have to report that this was a cluster-bomb which came from Ukrainian troops, not from Russia. You might like to read this brief article on that bomb and the way western MSM write about ‘news’ from Ukraine.
At the weekend the US intelligence officer Mr Sullivan let the world know that he’ll tell the Chinese that they must stop supporting Russia and must implement the sanctions or else. It’s ‘politics by TV News’. Here is a commentary from an Indian site(my emphasis):
“The US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s meeting with China’s top diplomat and Politburo member Yang Jiechi in Rome later today promises to be a defining moment in world politics. Yesterday, Sullivan explicitly threatened China in an interview with CNN. He said: “We are communicating directly, privately to Beijing, that there will absolutely be consequences for large-scale sanctions evasion efforts or support to Russia to backfill them. We will not allow that to go forward and allow there to be a lifeline to Russia from these economic sanctions from any country, anywhere in the world. The warning to China is that it should conform to the US sanctions against Russia and desist from providing support (“lifeline”) to Russia in any form.” (link)
Are the various comments on private blogs correct where readers point out that the USA is acting as if she alone has the right to tell the rest of the world to comply with whatever Washinton decrees? I dunno if Mr Xi is going to bow to US pressure – I doubt it. There’s nothing I could find at my first glance looking at our MSM this morning. That threat is not sufficient for the USA though. They’re now also trying to put pressure on india.:
“The cutting edge of Sullivan’s statement is that it also applies to India. The implications are very, very severe. Simply put, Washington’s demand is also be that India should abandon its relationship with Russia. That means principally, that India should freeze the defence relationship. Considering that something like 60-70% of weaponry for our armed forces is of Russian origin, this will render a crippling blow to India’s defence preparedness.” (link)
There seems to be a slight softening of Washington’s attitude when it comes to India though. After all, ‘considering one’s role in history’ isn’t the same as saying ‘do as we tell you to or else’. There’s an interesting little remark by Ms Psaki at the White House Press conference:
“Washington has urged India not to go through with a plan to purchase discounted Russian crude oil, saying the move would amount to supporting Moscow’s “leadership” amid its military offensive in Ukraine […] White House press secretary Jen Psaki said nations should consider their role in history when dealing with Moscow during its attack on Ukraine, though noted the move would not run afoul of Western economic penalties.” (link)
This is yet another example for the West’s, or rather the USA’s attempt to ‘degrade the Russian economy’. Leaving aside the point that it’s not just Russia’s economy which is being degraded but ours as well, there’s another reason for Mr Z.’s sudden acquiescence to Ukraine not becoming a member of NATO. Apparently the stronghold of the Azov brigade, Mariupol, is going to fall into Russian hands. Here’s another comment from the Indian site:
“As I had written more than once previously, Russian military strategy is on course, contrary to what the hyped up western disinformation has conveyed, namely, that the special operation has “failed”. Peskov hinted that there is no question of stopping the operation prematurely. He spoke amidst western calls for “ceasefire.” Peskov disclosed that President Vladimir Putin had specifically ordered the armed forces to refrain from an immediate assault on the cities, including Kiev, so as to prevent heavy civilian casualty. The operation, therefore, took into account the ground reality that the extremist Neo-Nazi groups had deployed weapons in densely-populated residential areas.” (link)
I’m sure our own MSM ‘journalists’ would write about that situation – if only they had access to Russian sites, if only they could use machine translators! Instead, expect reams of ‘barbaric Russians bombing innocent civilians’ while this operation is going on. Do not expect anything about Russian forces having opened humanitarian corridors – does nobody in the West ask how come that 3 million Ukrainians have fled the country if the bad Russians keep shellign even those corridors?
Above all, do not expect to hear anything about that Neonazi Brigade. They are ‘our Nazis’ and therefore good. RT has an interesting article on this (link). The existence of this brigade, of neonaozis in all walks of Ukrainian politics, has been well known ever since 2014. I’ll only say that I find it sickening to see that The West is supporting Neonazis in a war against Russia, 80 years after Hitler invaded Russia, 80 years after the millions of Russians killed in that war by the Nazi troops.
I am beyond sickened and disgusted by the unrelenting hatred spewed out by our propaganda media. Do those responsible never ask themselves what the consequences of this ‘sanctioned hatred’ might be? Does anyone in the propaganda machine realise that this ‘permitted hatred’ is fatally alike to the hatred instigated by the original, Geman Nazis? That there’s hardly any difference between hating Russians because they are ‘Untermenschen’, depriving good Germans of land and food, and hating Russians because they’re fighting for their people in Ukraine, against Neonazis?
One final question: isn’t this hatred, aren’t these ‘hate news’, these ‘hate speeches’ actually illegal?
The RAND corporation was founded to do research for the US Defence Dept. It produced a report ‘Extending Russia’ by which they mean over-extending Russia, and subtitled ‘Competing from advantageous ground’. The most recent version is here: https://www.rand.org/pubs/research_reports/RR3063.html on how to weaken Russia.
It seems pretty clear that vested interests in the US did not like Russia’s profitable energy business nor Europeans as customers of Russia. Hence the repeated provocations described in the RAND report (some of which predates the report which improves on them). Russia remained the enemy even after the fall of the USSR, not just because ‘neo-cons’ could not let go but for reasons of commercial dominance. It was no coincidence that Hunter Biden was appointd a director of a Ukraine energy company the day after Biden, then vice-president, addressed the Ukrainian parliament after the Maidan coup.
The US works with ‘sons of bitches’, such as the radical nationlist neo-nazis in Ukraine, provided they are ‘our sons of bitches’.
Oliver Stone’s 2016 film ‘Ukraine in Flames’ detailed just how exensive radical nationalists are in Ukraine. Google has taken it down from YouTube but you can still see it on Rumble.
Curiously, the BBC and Channel 4 both produced documentaries in 2014, and the Guardian ran a series of articles, lamenting the part played by neo-nazis in the Maidan coup. Amnesia has set in and Putin’s claim to want to de-nazify Ukraine is now proof that he is insane.
Meanwhile, here, puritanical seeking out of sinners demand we denounce Putin to particpate in sport (Wimbledon). These witch-hunters lurk in our population to a disturbing degree.
And, whilst we are distracted by Ukraine, the climate change scam continues from the IPCC supported by the Met Office:
https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/about-us/press-office/news/weather-and-climate/2022/the-bleakest-assessment-yet-of-climate-change-risk
One sentence says all we need to know:
“The Met Office and the IPCC have enjoyed a long working relationship since the early 1990s”
What a farce this Green Crappery and Net Zero are where these tiny islands of the UK are concerned. Our CO2 emissions are around 1% of the global total. Instead of using our own resources we are importing them from around the world, so that our globe trotting leader can signal his virtue, while the rest of us struggle to heat our homes and fuel our transport. It’s up to China, India and the US to make any difference. If the whole UK were to disappear it would not make any difference to climate change, so why are we being made to pay the price? We didn’t ask for this.
Thank you Phil O.
Gonzalo Lira blogs from Kharkiv. He has proven right in his previous intel. So I simply paraphrase a recent very long blog, and we shall see:
The Ukranian army has lost it’s command and control, so each unit is acting semi-independently;
Putin does not want to flatten the country, what use would that be, he could easily have done so at the outset (as the Americans do), but instead is tiptoeing forward;
He does not want to break Ukraine; water, power, internet all still going; could have been knocked out on Day 1. They reconnected water for the Donbass that ‘nice’ Mr Zelensky had cut-off a long time ago;
The Ukranians thought they were winning because the Russians withdrew when they met resistance. But no one seems to understand the Russian’s centuries-old tactic, which they call the cauldron. Probe, draw defences forward, withdraw, surround at a distance and isolate, and move on, ready to tighten the circle later if needs be;
They leave a humanitarian corridor for civilians to leave, guaranteeing safety, but the real aim is to offer trapped soldiers the chance to slip into civvies and desert. It worked in Syria. The Ukranians, especially the Azov’s, are the ones killing their own people to deter people from using these corridors (yes they are extremely nasty people) and false flag the Russians;
Gonzalo is very worried that if the surrounded military groups do not surrender, if a nationwide ceasefire is not brokered, they will then be eliminated;
That Mariupol hospital had been closed for medical use. A local newspaper headlined this in January, worrying where maternity cases should go. It was cleared and used as a barracks by the neo-nasty [sic] Azov lot. The pregnant girl on a stretcher was pure White Helmet propaganda straight out of Syria.) n.b. Even though it has been debunked, the Telegraph repeated it yesterday with the additional claim that the poor girl had died. Move on; next atrocity, please.)
India desperately needs Russian food and fertiliser, as indeed do we. The US threatened India with sanctions if it does not join in the sanctioning of Russia; but India would be ‘voting for’ famine; exactly what the Great Reset requires, of course.
Don’t anyone mistake this for support for Putin or war. But line up his most vociferous critics (the same who brought you the jab fest and are pushing climate emergency) and the wall to wall propaganda and acceptance of the narrative is sickening.
