Since I did comment yesterday with no problems. And since I’m safely here again today, I think I’ll carry on doing things how I’m used to for the moment.
But I’m full of admiration for Viv and Debbie for the way I.D. has continued.
Incidentally I’ve just had an email from UKIP. It was very sensible in what it said.
On the other hand it invited me to reply. So I did reply, agreeing with what was said.
Immediately I was sent an email saying it was not possible to reply to that address!
Yep, does not appear to work on Firefox.
Try another browser – once you’re ‘registered’ it works on all browsers.
Hardly surprising that I can find no bell anywhere.
My operating system is Ubunto and my browser is Mozilla Firefox.
But I’ve still landed here!
Now then, how do I enter my Comment?
The usual way, Pauline – and this isn’t a ‘secret entry’ system, it’s just to alert those people that there’s a new item that was published who aren’t checking out the site anyway.
Didn’t work for me with Firefox but did when I used Safari. Subsequently, alerts are borwser independent.
I had a red bell. I clicked on it and nothing happened. I enlarged the screen and I saw that the bell contained dormant meaningless information. I had to use an internet site to remove the bell.
Having had problems with a browser on my main computer I purchased a Chrome Book just for the internet. I use a memory stick to transfer collected information from one computer to another.
Sorry, David – this is a broad sweep, made as simple as possible for the largest number of users. Sadly, it doesn’t cater for exceptional tech savvy people like you obviously are.
You are however not locked out of th site by not using this alert!
