I’m baffled. A first. A PM and CHancellor who understand the job. Liz and Kwarty had the job nailed. A hard but good future. Now look at us The enemy has won. First a long drawn out boring hustings. A new manifesto. Now tripping over themselves to be new and exciting. Likely contenders, a money spender Rogue.. A coddled child controlled by the servants.

Ok, so there is to be yet another Conservative Party leadership contest, but please spare us meaningless speeches and hustings which these days seem to be only put on for the benefit of our inept and useless media and to keep certain TV news and current affairs presenters occupied, so that they can broadcast their own warped left wing biased views. I’m am sick to death of our self serving political class, whether they be Conservative, Labour or Liberal Democrat, sick to death of Newspaper editors who spread daily gloom, doom and despondency on a daily basis, and sick to the death of TV Presenters and Radio Presenters who speak to politicians without any respect and talk as if they could do a better job than any of the existing incumbents in the House of Commons. So, to the likes of Gary Lineker of the BBC and that other joker James O’Brien of LBC, put your money where your mouth is and stand for parliament and we’ll see how long you last. By my reckoning all of five minutes, and that’s being generous.
Why have Tory Party Associations not taking action against errant MPs over the last 10 years? They have had in their hands the tools to nudge their wretched Party back to conservatism by deselecting the corporatist, globalist liberals MPs pour encourager les autres! Why on earth do they tolerate Mrs May, Gove, Hunt, etc? Can’t they see what they are doing to this country? A pox on them all.
The Tories have now probably had more leaders over last 20 years than UKIP now and still time for more. What joy!!
Jake…… that may well be true, but the big difference between the two parties is that UKIP have been around for just under 30 years have only ever had two MP’s in parliament and have never been the party of government, whereas the Conservative Party have been around for 200 years or more, have been the party of government on countless occasions and presently have in excess of 380 MP’s in parliament. It is all very well making these remarks, but what is your solution? We need solutions right now, and nobody in the Conservative Party seems capable of providing a solution even with that number of MP’s at their disposal. I have heard a few rumours that Conservative MP’s have had or are having talks with Reform UK, with a view to perhaps defecting to that party. If that were to occur coupled with Nigel Farage taking over the reins of leadership once again, it may be the fillip that that party needs to start taking over the political ground of the centre right which the Conservatives once occupied. Interesting times lie ahead, but we are in desperate need of political realignment. We have sort of seen something similar to this in the recent past when Douglas Carswell and Mark Reckless both defected from the Conservatives to UKIP in 2014, but unfortunately that didn’t end well. If that were to happen again it would need to be properly managed and nurtured. with a plan.

It is difficult for me to get into the minds of people like yourself (and many other commentators on this site) because you are not even a member of a centre Right challenger Party (any at this stage) to affect a solution. I recognise that democracy is broken and so it doesn’t matter a jot to me whether Labour/Conservative/Lib Dem/Green are in government they have all thrown in with a globalist political agenda run by technocrats, funded by corporations for the benefit of corporations. I understood this 20 or so years ago and so I find it remarkable that so many people, more intelligent than I, still play establishment party politics.
The solution at this early stage is for people like you to stop ranting and start being active by joining a centre Right challenger party, telling others what you have done. Once momentum gets going these challengers will hopefully come together as one. UKIPs deputy leader has already commendably announced this hope which is good news.
Even Farage over the last three days appears to see that trying to reform the Tories is hopeless. Like a rabid dog the Tories need putting down there is no other way to restore true represent Tati versus democracy.
Jake……..I am a member of the Heritage Party, and a founder member of it. I very nearly re-joined UKIP two months ago, but there are people still in place who almost brought the party to an end, and so decided not to re-join. I am supportive of the idea by the party’s new deputy leader that talks should take place between UKIP, Heritage Party, Reclaim, SDP and Reform UK to form some of loose coalition/alliance in advance of the next general election, and with one overall leader, as alone any votes cast for them individually would be counterproductive and cancel each other out. I think however this is unlikely as personalities and personal egos will surface and get in the way, rather than doing something for the good of the country.
Well done then Colin but I have not heard you promoting others to join centre Right parties. Time to start and shame others to follow suit. I believe that once these parties get up to 5 to 10,000 members each there will be real pressure within the parties to merge into one party. It will be too late if a GE is called in December but maybe they could agree to target marginal seats and take some Tory MPs scalps.

Hunt has allegedly said he’ll not do it, and so has Wallace. Dorries is now demanding the Tory Party re-crown BoJo-the-Clown. You really couldn’t make it up …

Wonder why Frederick doesn’t acknowledge UKIP and the Heritage Party as part of a centre Right movement. UKIP have reached out to Reform, Reclaim and Heritage to ‘talk about talks’ but no response from them as yet I believe.

What are the odds now on a vote to rejoin the single market in the near future; they’ll probably resurrect the same old lies that it is our only hope for economic salvation, despite our deficit being below the EU average?
Given the state of the EU, with debts and more debts, with the mediterranean countries, France included, demanding an extra, new fund to pay for those gas prices, with the Ukraine begging to be admitted: any Remainer wanting to join ought to be kept under medical observation. Have they all forgotten that we were the 2nd net contributor? How much more money do they want to squeeze out of our wallets? The pips are already squeaking (paraphrasing that Labour Chancellor Denis Healy …).
