Viv needs today off for a deeply personal reason
but yesterday’s articles are still open for comments.
The Ongoing Daily Betrayal will appear again tomorrow.
Debbie has been a journalist for longer than she cares to admit! She has been freelance for the last 16 years and is deputy editor on INDEPENDENCE Daily, specialising in covering the morning press each day.
As usual
Johnny come lately
First all the best to Viv in her loss and I echo Liza in saying take all the time you need
I was wanting to say Sunday’s haul was a veritable to the point haul, each thread picked very relevant topics. And I learned something from each of them
I particularly loved philosopher Kim, in that although I have’t dug a decent vegetable garden spit for many years, I remember once getting into rhythm day dreaming, flights of fancy and setting the world to rights can be very satisfying.
Unfortunately the solutions you have found to problems, which you commit to memory, never seem to be there with me, when I have come down to earth and playfully chucked a clod of turf at the interrupter who has come to tell me dinner is ready and it’s on the table.
………..?and we are WAITING
Don’t they realise it’s only my digging will keep them in home grown food ( the best) and free from starvation
They seem to think you are enjoying it.
I wouldn’t for the world let them know I do, I’ll get the same repetitive job again next year.
By the way I do want to hear the outcome of Colin’s query about Jack Pierpoint being the hangman at Neuremberg.
And I would like to see constant updating on the “case” trial
I’ve got a feeling it will end in “nothing to see here”, they can’t kill off that many lawyers in one go———-can they?
Oh and Xhanadu What’s the connection
All I remember from schooldays is ” In Xhanadu did Kubla Khan ”
Samuel Taylor Colleridge (looked it up)
Somebody else thought there was a Xhanadu perfume, probably reeked of a Eastern Promise!

Hello Roger. Reading you here prompted me to look into my contacts list and lo and behold it needed updating! Hopefully I’ve done it now.
Be Warned – since you clearly produce home grown food, the GENUINE science on Earth’s Climate clearly shows it is getting COLDER, not warmer.
Well actually it is happening very slowly so even though you are undoubtedly younger than me you probably do not need to worry too much.
My main reactions to the Nuremberg noose were – this time it’s the whole world being taken over by Nazi type dictators not just Germany/Europe.
Covid has been the main excuse but there is also the Climate Scam working away at establishing Global Dictatorship.
Yeah, like you I couldn’t remember about Xanadu. I didn’t bother looking it up but I certainly liked Kim’s article bestest!

Oh, and as for Nuremberg, I wish loads of people/action groups/etc. would take action about how governments are breaking the convention on human rights that resulted from the Nuremberg trials.

I think it was Phil O’Sophical who wrote a comment pointing out there were certain treaties etc from which you were not allowed to de- rogate under any circumstances.
I wonder if the Neuremberg Code is such a thing.
I hope you haven’t placed any bets on my being younger than you, I was born on a May morning in 1935, such was the frost, I got the blame for the wide loss of the fruit crop that year.
Oh by the way I’ve had my ancestry DNA done, I’m thrilled to say I’m 13% Scottish

That unspeakable creature Ursula van der Leyden wants to unhook Europe from the Nurnberg Code.
After all why let a trivial thing like fear of a repeat of the Holocaust atrocities get in the way of making vast profits and power grabbing.

Pauline, just click on the “next” link after the last article you read and it will take you to the next day’s issue of ID.

Lisa. That was not what I was talking about. I said if someone googled (i.e.searched), Independence Daily they would get the impression it was still only about brexit.
I don’t get in that way personally. Just think though, of all the people, hopefully out there, that we are all hoping will start reading and commenting, even contributing to this site!
As it happens, way back I suggested to someone that they would find it interesting and they couldn’t find it for ages because the search engine threw up INDEPENDENT links. Like The Independent as alternatives.
Viv can’t do anything about that but she may be able to change what INDEPENDENCE DAILY says about itself.
