Operation Indigo National Action Day
– Saturday 9th March 2019 –
East of England target city: Chelmsford
9.45 for 10.00 am start
Brexit Supporters are invited to take part in Operation Indigo, a co-ordinated Leave Means Leave national day of action taking place on Saturday 9th March 2019.
As part of Operation Indigo, there is a target town or city in every region and the intent is to get 10,000 leaflets out in each of these places on the same day. We will be using a brand new leaflet designed especially for that day. As you might expect, Leave Means Leave HQ has selected the City of Chelmsford as the East of England target city. Chelmsford voted to leave in the referendum but is one of the few constituencies in our region that is represented by a Remainer, Vicky Ford MP. We will be holding another major leafleting action day on the 9th March and we will be supported by a street stall in the high street(pedestrian precinct, on the same day.
I would be delighted if the East of England were to play a full part in Operation Indigo, particularly as we have so far led the way with leafleting action days, putting out more than 16,000 leaflets in the four sessions held to date. However, this is the big one as we are part of a national campaign and we need to put out something like double the number we would normally expect to, in one of these sessions. Therefore, we are going to need at least 32 volunteers on the big day. Please do let me know as soon as you can if you are able to assist. Your country needs you!! (However, we do recognise that geography plays a part and not every supporter in our vast region is conveniently located for getting to Chelmsford.)
It is vital that you confirm your attendance ASAP, so that we can plan ahead for this very important day. We have a number of meeting places in Chelmsford and I will allocate your meeting venue to you, when you have confirmed your attendance and from there you will be supplied with a route map and a batch of the new leaflets.
We will be meeting up at 1pm for a de-brief at a hostelry to be confirmed. Full details provided on the day.

As the West Wales Coordinator for the cross party Leave Means Leave, I wish to let you know that the next LML street stall will be held on Saturday 9 March in Port Talbot.
We shall be meeting between 10.30 and 10.45am next door to the Station Road Post Office in Port Talbot, SA13 1NQ. There is an empty shop here and we are undercover if its raining. Hopefully, everything will have been set-up for a 11.00am start.
This venue is located on the pedestrianized precinct on Port Talbot’s Station Road, with the Tesco entrance opposite and to our left from behind the stall the main bridge leading into the large shopping centre.
We’ve already had 8 recent successful Leave Means Leave street stalls: in Carmarthen on Saturday 24 November, in Haverfordwest on Friday 30 November, in Milford Haven on Saturday 8 December, in Narberth on Friday 14 December, in Carmarthen on Saturday 12 January, in Llanelli on Saturday 9 February, in Ammanford on Friday 22 February and in Cardigan on Saturday 23 February.
While I’m acutely aware that travelling to Port Talbot will entail a considerable distance for many of you (including myself), it will, nonetheless, provide an excellent opportunity to show Aberavon’s strong Remainer MP Stephen Kinnock that he’s wholly out of step with his electorate who voted by 57% to the Leave the EU without any ifs or buts. There will also be a special leaflet exposing Stephen Kinnock’s “record”, to distribute to the general public!
If you require further information, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Your continued support is very much appreciated by me. Thank you, again.
