Brexit

EMMANUEL MACRON and the EU are set for more hostility towards the UK in an attempt to “bring Brexit down” according to a political scientist.
Director of UK in a Changing Europe, Professor Anand Menon insisted French President Emmanuel Macron considers fights with Britain good politics. During an interview with Express.co.uk, he argued hostility from both sides was expected to continue for two key reasons. One reason being the issues surrounding Northern Ireland and another being the EU’s determination to see Brexit fail.
“There are at least two good reasons why there are Brexit rows are going on.
“The first is because there are genuine substantive issues of which the EU and UK disagree.
“They could yet pull the whole thing down and Northern Ireland is the obvious case there.
“The two sides disagree about how to implement the protocol and that is leading to a lot of bad feeling between them.”
EU

THE European Union will not stop until it has removed all “sovereign powers” from its members amid its plans to create a European superstate, an MP has warned.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, one Tory MP praised Brexit for saving the UK from the long-spoken idea of an EU superstate. According to Marco Longhi, MP for Dudley North, Brussels ultimately wants to remove the sovereign powers of its 27 member states. Eventually, the Tory MP claimed each member will soon become a “vassal state” to the EU project.
While the UK attempted to be a reliable ally as part of the EU, the MP insisted Britain always had the desire to be the master of its own destiny.
Mr Longhi said: “I think it’s been planned for a while.
“I think it’s been known in wider circles that this has been the plan among EU members, particularly certain EU members and the Commission.
“I mean, Guy Verhofstadt has been quite open about that in a number of his speeches.
“They want to ultimately remove what sovereign powers each individual member state has.
“If you like, even though each state would then be identified by the name, they become a vassal state to this superpower, with all their powers centralised in Brussels and Strasburg.
“And hence the reason for every bit of legislation that’s been coming out has been pulling individual member states in that direction.

COMMUTERS are running the risk of dying from Covid on trains over the next four months, rail safety chiefs have warned.
Figures found by the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) have warned the Government about the high risk of infection. They are now under pressure to quit a national campaign promoting the safety of train travel.
This campaign was set to launch on Monday.
However, the RSSB found that the number of potential deaths due to Covid infections on trains over the next four months “ranges from double to triple figures”, according to the Daily Telegraph.
These findings are shared with rail executives and the Department for Transport every fortnight.
But they have refused to make the data available to the general public that include commuters travelling and using the trains.

It is the single biggest challenge facing the NHS. How does it tackle the backlog of care that ballooned during the pandemic — and how long will it take?
Millions of patients have been waiting for appointments, treatments and operations for months. But with thousands of people still becoming infected with the coronavirus, patients will have to wait even longer.
Sajid Javid, the health secretary, has repeatedly been warned in recent weeks by his senior advisers of a simple truth: the crisis will get worse before it gets better. “There’s no way to sugarcoat the projections,” one government official said. “They are grim.”
Afghanistan
Mail
The Taliban have now taken control of Jalalabad, spelling the fall of the last major Afghan city other than Kabul to the extremist fighters and leaving the isolated capital increasingly vulnerable to a takeover.
An Afghan official confirmed the key eastern city fell under Taliban control without a fight early Sunday morning when the governor surrendered, saying it was ‘the only way to save civilian lives.’
Its fall has also given the Taliban control of a road leading to the Pakistan city of Peshawar, one of the main highways into landlocked Afghanistan.
Jalalabad is close to the Pakistani border and just 80 miles from Kabul – the Afghanistan capital home to more than four million people and now the only remaining major city still under government control. Besides Kabul, just seven other provincial capitals out of the country’s 34 are yet to fall to the Taliban.
Concerns are mounting over how long Kabul can stave off the Taliban insurgents as they have captured the northern stronghold of Mazar-i-Sharif, the second-largest city Kandahar and third-largest city Herat all within the last 48 hours.

Brexit, the EU superstate and the UK. I’ve come to the conclusion it is NOT just the NI protocol we need to ditch. It IS the whole T&C agreement.
We did keep saying ‘no deal’.
I think it was on Briefings for Britain that I read of many more snares lurking but sorry can’t remember details.
‘According to Marco Longhi, MP for Dudley North, Brussels ultimately wants to remove the sovereign powers of its 27 member states. Eventually, the Tory MP claimed each member will soon become a “vassal state” to the EU project’
The Red Wall Tory MPs must be getting a little unsettled at their prospects of getting re-elected when they have to resort to re-running the ‘Get Brexit Done’ campaign that swept them to Westminster. No amount of bashing the EU will deflect the rapidly increasing view of low income urban whites, that the Tories promises on immigration, levelling up, free speech, law and order are worth the paper they are written on.
True enough Jake. We heard it all before and brexit was not fully done anyway.
The sad fact of the matter we are lumbered with a prime minister who doesn’t have the balls for a fight against the EU dictatorship. No common sense, no backbone and and no political conviction just about sums Johnson up. The whole Withdrawal Agreement needs ripping up and tossing into a dustbin where it belongs and going down the road of WTO Rules. Instead Johnson rambles on about the situation in Afghanistan, a situation which we have no control over, whereas he can do something about the Northern Ireland protocol impasse. The ball is in his court but he doesn’t know what to do with it no more than he knows how to deal with the English Channel migrant crisis. In his eyes rather than doing anything positive and acting in the best interest of the citizens of this country he goes goes in for a but of meaningless hot air hoping that somehow the problem(s) will just blow away in the wind. I think most rational people in this country have sized Johnson by now and will prove to be a massive note loser of the future.
Colin He is a Tory – what do you expect.
The big news this week, last week, next week, is AR6 and COP26. The decisions made by unelected and — how can I put this politely? — overly enthusiastic scientists, data shufflers, convinced greenies are set to alter our way of life for decades. Eventually science, true science will win, but the damage will be immense.
And the MSM bleats about ‘code red’ and hypes the hysteria. Net Zero as espoused by the Cons will kill people but no-one is mentioning that.
It could be worse, we could have senior politicians who worship uncritically at the feet of a weird little homunculus who has no training, no scientific background but has been elevated to near sainthood by lazy and partial journalists. Oh, dear…

Julian. Wherever did you get all this learning?! I had to look up homunculus!
It’s not funny really though is it.
I agree Julian Flood but forgive me if I don’t look at the link you have posted as I don’t think my blood pressure will take it. That child needs locking up.

” I think it has been planned for a while ” says a Tory MP to the “Express”
I seem to detect a note of surprise, it’s as though the public has not been aware that this was one of the prime reasons we voted for Brexit
Oh well perhaps he is right, the Remoaners have made such a brilliant job of confusing the issue that perhaps a reminder of just why the EU and its fellow travellers are the ENEMY and if the case needs re-stating and re-emphasising so be it.
It’s more than that I suspect!!!
“…thousands of people still becoming infected with the coronavirus,”… Just as thousands get a common cold. The cances are the vast majority survive.
“There’s no way to sugarcoat the projections,” one government official said. “They are grim.” Projections? Does that mean we are relying on “somebody’s computer models… again?
The prospects are indeed grim, but never fear, however bad things might look, our Gubmint led by the Fat Controller and advised by the unwise of SAGE will contrive to make them even worse.
Wasn’t that RSSB involved in strike action about safety issues because guards were no longer ‘needed’ on trains? Not sure how long ago that was.
As for the Fat Controller, I keep changing my mind whether he is actually an idiot or whether he’s a fully signed up member of the global reset.
Pauline – The answer is ‘both’.
Probably Michael D.
What WERE B.J. and Blair talking about?
There is another possible link there. Blair went Roman Catholic when he ceased to be P.M. Boris got married in a Catholic Church.
After all, fathering yet another child is going against the Global Reset policy of reducing world population isn’t it?
All those who voted for Brexit have known that there was a probability that the EU would not let us go without a long a difficult fight! What we are seeing (especially from France’s latest incarnation of Napoleon) is the spite and fury of a hostile political force which is only interest is concerned with consolidating the absolute power it has created over the nation states that have blindly and trustingly bought into ‘their’ – always intentional – tyranny.
The big question for Britain now is….are those politicians who currently occupy the green leather benches in the House of Confidence Tricksters going to:-
a) go for broke on the all out globalist plot that has been in the making for decades (which will leave us in an equally invidious position or
b) run for the cover of the EU in an attempt to convince us all that there is safety in numbers or
c) finally find the b@ll$ to turn Britain into a truly free and free trading Nation once again?
Difficult to call? I wouldnt give you odds on any of them because I could not bring myself to speculate, given the truly self absorbed natures of any one of the 650 limpets that cling to their well paid and cosy sinecures in the ‘House of Thieves and Tricksters’! But with a PM who openly admits he cannot live on the PMs salary (and is seemingly intent on procreation that he is not – he suggests – financially able to support) I would suspect that the odds are hugely weighted against the latter!
Frederica. While the Cons are in power they will not go for b).
a) seems to be happening.
Another way that our politicians have betrayed us is in their running of the economy; when they don’t like economic numbers, they just change the way they measure them to make them more palatable.
According to these figures from Shadowstats, if inflaltion was measured in the traditional away as it was until the nineties, inflation would now be running at nine percent and it is increasing rapidly. We are already well on the road to disaster.
“Alternate Inflation Charts”
http://www.shadowstats.com/alternate_data/inflation-charts
Flyer – alternative inflation figs.
Is there one for GB?
My very rough calcs, looked inflation in asda and tesco for example, plus other regular items, plus fuel and on and on. It comes out at around ten pct, which is not kicking the pants off the eight pct of the shadowstats figure.
It seems that Islam is on the march again, thanks to Biden and the Democrats in the US. I was just reading about how Islam came to Afghanistan. Small numbers at first over a long period of time as the numbers increased, this led to dominance and conquest and it’s now a familiar story.
The number of Muslims arriving in our country aren’t small anymore and there are reinforcements arriving in ever greater numbers by small boats across the English channel.
I blame our spineless, treasonous politicians that have failed in their first duty to defend our country; they deserve to be hanged by the neck until dead. Of course Tony Blair foresaw this eventuality and abolished the death penalty for treason.
flyer – Islam. Didn’t something similar happen in Nepal?
In Abbysinia/Ethiopia it seemed to be fascism/communism that took over.
It’s almost as though they are linked. Bearing in mind that the great reset was being planned early in the 20th Century.
Err . . . I’m reading Vernon Coleman, ‘Endgame’ at the moment.
Afganistan.
Of course the conquest is fast. The organisation ( Ayetollas, imams etc are in place and giving orders ) Thanks to purblind western strategists. Islam was designed for this. The stupidity of our leaders is the enemies sole asset., While we have ignored the wests assets in favour of corruption and drugs.
We need to listen and learn from the Sikhs, the Buddhists, the Hindi, the non catolic christians,NOT the Ayetollahs, the Princes, the IslamicSultans the caliphs etc
The Buddhist who ejected the rohingyah or whatever they call themselves to hide just another Islamic population explosion for conquestand spread of power. . Just like all the other cesspitsof the world
So now Biden all on his little ownio, has created another.
While UKIP looks the other way
October 18 conference T G S. Get yourself there.
Jake. October 18 conference.
Looking at the news and comments today it strikes me that perhaps a revitalised Ukip, just possibly might now, if not knock the politicians off their perch at least start to redirect them.
Isn’t that what happened before.
UKIP has been taken over by crooks and spivs bent on self aggrandisment.
One very good policy when N.F. ran UKIP – No Member or MP would be whipped to vote for the Party policy!
We are all aware that with the Cons and Lab they are ‘whipped’ by the selection procedure as well as the whips in the HoC. Surely that is the major problem with the Party system by which we are ruled nowadays.
It is also why I regard UKIP as very different to other political parties.
You could easily call it ‘a broad church’ or perhaps a party of Independents.
If Candidates chose their own constituency to stand for and their policies were suited to the needs of that constituency well, job done.
It’s funding of course that is the problem.
TYG Spokes……you couldn’t resist it, you had to get another one in about UKIP. In your yes they have 180 MP’s in Parliament, a couple of thousand councilors up and down the country’ in borough and county councils, a number of Police and Crime Commissioners in place to control various police forces, and a special telephone hotline connection between Boris Johnson and Neil Hamilton who regularly seeks advice of the latter. In fact the total opposite situation exists, and UKIP has no influence over anything. Sill, your observations about UKIP provide a titter or two.
TYPOS Colin!
I wouldn’t have minded if you’d answered me!
Well TGS, sometimes our minds run on similar lines.
EU:
No surprises there, just the continuance of the original intent. Hitler would have been proud of them.
Brexit:
“Foxtrot Oscar” is the only sensible response to the EU accompanied by the bowman’s’ salute and a cessation of all that Boris agreed in his disastrous WA. Anything less does not respect the referendum vote and will continue to plague us for years. It also gives sustenance to the Rejoiners who, like traitors throughout history, will never give up their evil plans.
Jack, Foxtrot Oscar etc. I totally agree.
