You may wonder why, with so few details about those who are claimed to be infectious and those that may have already have been hospitalised or died, do we need to begin another fear campaign.
The evil genius of this Omicron narrative is that it requires no evidence whatsoever. Since no one can actually see a ‘variant’ and since no isolated Omicron viral samples exist anywhere in the world for lab test confirmations, a coordinated mass media hysteria campaign simply implants human consciousness with the illusion of Omicron, accompanied by extreme fear.
Of course, we’ve been here before with previous imaginary variants, or as I prefer ‘scariants’ when nothing was proved or isolated so that real evidence of this or any future public health emergency could be quantified.
Equally troubling is the Tory government’s response, since the South African doctor who claims to have uncovered this mystery virus variant stated that the symptoms are mild and the UK along with others have simply panicked.
Probably most troubling is the way we again experience government by decree when yet more diktats are issued from behind a lectern in Downing Street without any parliamentary scrutiny, and by the afternoon of the 30th November 2021, a Statutory Instrument will have been issued to ensure there will be no further democratic discussions in Parliament or elsewhere over Omicron until Christmas is almost upon us. By then Parliament will be in recess and we can probably kiss goodbye to any hope of the fear campaign going away.
If you recall, when Parliament was scheduled to review the Coronavirus 2020 Act last month, a small number of backbench MPs tried to organise a vote but the Deputy Speaker disallowed any discussion and the vote then went ahead when she simply said to those MPs: “Nice try, Lads”. That sums up the state of our Parliamentary democracy which since March 2020 has ceased to exist except to rubber-stamp all government diktats and little else.
It is easy to understand the anguish of the airlines and tourist industry who were just about beginning to recover from 2020 when along comes another bout of utter madness. I wonder when the Chancellor will rush through more emergency funding legislation to help those most affected. During 2019 Gatwick Airport massaged some 46 million passengers through that facility only to see those numbers drop to around 600,000 in 2020. That is the scale of this government’s lack of managerial and common-sense ability and yet they seem like rabbits in the headlights and hell-bent on transferring as much wealth as they possibly can to the big pharmaceutical companies. Who would have thought that one of the chief medical advisors to this hopeless government should still have a very substantial shareholding in Pfizer? Nice work if you get it lads, and don’t bother to declare a conflict of interest!!
There can be no other explanation for such stupidly that can never be in the national interest. We must ask what is in the UK’s interests when this Tory government seems incapable of stopping thousands of gate crashers from crossing the channel in flimsy boats, spending publicly borrowed money on so-called infrastructure projects that will benefit few, awarding lucrative supply contracts to friends of friends and attempting to cover up parliamentary sleaze by gerrymandering.
Never mind all that; have you been boosted yet?
It’s really quite simple. The third dose increases immunity, so after the fourth dose, you’ll be protected. Once 80% of the population has received the fifth dose, the restrictions can be relaxed as the sixth dose stops the virus from spreading. I am confident that the seventh dose will solve our problems and we’ll have no reason to fear the eighth dose. The clinical phase of the ninth dose will confirm that the antibodies remain stable after the tenth dose. The eleventh dose will ensure that no new mutations will develop, so there is no longer any reason to criticise the twelfth dose.
Now just do as you are told and stop all unwanted criticism of this government.

Just a thought………
Yes indeed Geoffrey. That certainly looks like the way ‘things’ are set to go.
‘Government by decree’. Well someone said ‘Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely’. So far, U.K. is not quite as bad as some other nations but . . . . . !
That last quote was an absolute gem thank you.
Of course the virus will stop spreading and all our problems solved by the 6th and 7th dose: they’ll have killed everyone off by then.
Just think mary, if we had allowed the virus to become endemic from the start, like it’s relative the common cold, we would be in a much better position now, economically and healthwise.
But the Great Barrington Declaration was ruthlessly suppressed. I wonder why – (not).
