Greenwash: diversity doesn’t matter …

 

Before we look at more instances of ‘outsourcing’, this time regarding issues where governments let NGOs drive their policies, here’s the obligatory curtsey to our MSM’s newsie news, compiled in the usual place by whoever ‘staff’ is this morning, under the earth-shattering headline “Newspaper headlines: ‘King’s relief’ Harry will fly home for coronation” (link). 

Phew! Aren’t we peasants relieved as well! After all, we simply live for the huge spectacles the Royals provide, to lighten up our daily grind in our hovels. We don’t need no other news, not of wars far away, not of economic miseries, not of politics affecting our economy and indeed our lives.

One of those policies which is already affecting us and will do so even more heavily in future is the madness of Net Zero. This policy has become the Holy Grail and is being forced on us without mercy. Anyone who hasn’t lived in a cave far away or on a rocky island without access to a smartphone, telly, paper newspapers, knows that this is the culmination of years of ‘work’ by various NGOs and by those who’ve worked their way up the greasy pole inside various Whitehall departments.  

There’s also the concerted drive for ever more  ‘renewables’, desecrating our countryside with bird shredders and ‘solar farms’ while at the same time clamouring for ‘re-wilding’ huge stretches of agricultural land because “we” don’t need to grow our own food. Of course, we’re not told why flying is bad when we try and go on holidays but is obviously good when we have to fly in our food grown elsewhere. 

Of course, the fact that the population has grown by all those ‘new’ guests arriving daily, guests who not only need accommodation but food is negligible. As an aside: dealing with these ‘refugees’ has also been outsourced. Government sez where these people have to go, to ‘disperse’ them – and lo and behold, the hotels where they’re accommodated have been bought up by private companies who are earning lovely money from government … taxpayers’ money, that is. 

Only at first glance does ‘outsourcing’ save government money. Yes, the ‘item’ is off the government’s books, but we have to buy back these services. Allegedly, this should make the budget shrink. How is it then that departments, in Whitehall or City Hall, do not disappear, that we are paying ever increasing amounts of taxes? Where are these ‘savings’? 

Back to green crappery. Surely by now we’ve learned that all the greenery isn’t about ‘saving the planet’ but about control, of us and of how we live! The best example comes from Germany where the ‘Green Party’ is part of the government coalition. And by gawd, they’ve been using their power! Next Sunday, their last three nuclear power stations will be shut down – because ‘green’.

To provide industry and country with much needed energy, the Germans will buy in electricity produced in nuclear power stations in France and in coal-fired power station in Poland. Hypocrisy? But of course! Hypocrisy is the defining characteristic of ‘green’ acolytes.

There was one blatant example provided in an interview published in the German paper ‘Die Welt’ (paywalled link, in German).  An 80-year old billionaire explains why he’s supporting the Greta-created movement ‘FFF’ – Fridays fir Future’ – which has taken off in Germany. 90% of the comment posters on that interview point out: it’s easy to be green when one swims in billions … We have our own British examples, not least the Spare and his family. 

In the same paper there’s also an intriguing report which hints that all is not well in the German Green Camp. Just as we have our ‘Extinction Rebellion’, so do they – only they’re much better organised and far more active. The German “FFF” troop has told off yon extremists that their way is not the corect way because it aggravates people. Now even the German Green Party has waded in (machine translated):

“After Fridays for Future, the Green parliamentary group is also clearly distancing itself from the “last generation”. With their blockades, the activists achieved the opposite of what is needed for climate protection – namely a broad movement.” (paywalled link, in German)

I leave it to you to decide if ‘Teh Party’ is trying to stomp out extremists because they believe their actions are no longer needed, now that green policy has become government policy – or if the green revolution is eating their own children. After all, it’s not the first time in history that this has happened – and ‘green’ stands for watermelons: red inside …

No green party, no green policies would have been so successful were it not for NGOs. Here in the UK they’ve successfully penetrated even into No 10, as the premiership of a certain Mr Johnson and his wifey have sadly shown. Do we really believe that he and the rest of them actually understand the proper, scientific debate about global warming without NGOs ‘greensplaining’ when their covid policies and PR stunts documented their own, scientific illiteracy?

There was another article on green crap in yon German paper. It’s by their rather formidable science editor. The headline – machine translated – is something I’d never have expected to see in this top German broadsheet: “The long struggle of the environmental movement against the people” (paywalled link, in German). After paying tribute to efforts of nature conservancy, he states:

“The most powerful current of the environmental movement was never about nature. It includes powerful corporations such as Greenpeace, WWF or the Sierra Club. Its history reads like a declaration of war on humanity. The nuclear phase-out in Germany is their next victory.” (paywalled link, in German)

If you have a good machine translator, do read the whole thing. He’s not mincing his words, and I never expected to read his outcry in this top German broadsheet. The point is that he documents those powerful NGOs, now so entrenched that their connections even drive UN policies. This is how outsourcing works out in real life, affecting us all. It’s no longer just about Whitehall mandarins pulling the strings of their hapless ministers, it’s about NGOs pulling the strings of those mandarins.

So what, you might ask, can we peasants do, faced with these global power elites swimming in money? I suggest non-compliance in all the small things they try to inflict, such as not installing smart meters. I’m sure you can come up with other examples! In the end, it’ll come down to us grassroots, at the local level. The coming local elections provide a chance where one can check out the candidates for green crappery, disregarding the various rosettes.
