I’m incensed. I’m so furious that I’m writing this column on the one day of the week when I’m ‘resting’ from the swamp that is the Westminster MSM and the shenanigans of the covid empire.
It was one article – one! – which made me so furious. The DT published a report yesterday evening under this headline: “Millions ‘unwittingly tracked’ by phone after vaccination to see if movements changed – A report revealed that data from one in ten peoples’ phones were tracked in February” (paywalled link). Given how our esteemed papers copy from each other, one might have thought that at least The Times or the DM would’ve picked this up today – but nooo, not one peep! The only paper which did so was The Sun, with a brief mention hidden in their ‘covid’ news, copying the DT report and publishing it twelve hours later (link). ‘Tis quite a feat when such copies usually hit the online editions four hours later.
That alone shows how seriously the MSM, the government’s propaganda branch, regards this unbelievable breach of our privacy: ’tis totally unimportant. At a time when every Cummings tweet is sufficient to elicit acres of pixels and print this concerted silence is beyond belief.
Are the chief editors waiting for marching orders from Matt-the-Han, from BJ or from Gove – or rather, from their various spokespeople? Are they waiting for their ‘senior sources’ to tell them what to write? I can’t wait to read the whitewash, the explanations and excuses they’ll come up with tomorrow! Perhaps they believe it’s best to spread a blanket of silence over it all, in the hope that by tomorrow it’ll all be forgotten and buried under the avalanche of the latest covid ‘news’.
So without further ado, here are some extensive quotes, just in case the report will be pulled later:
“A report from the SPI-B committee of Government scientists admitted that data from one in ten peoples’ phones were tracked in February, without their owners’ express knowledge.
The figures were used by researchers at Oxford University, who carried out studies for the Scientific Pandemic Influenza Group on Behaviours (SPI-B), which advises the Sage group of Government scientific advisers.
Using “cell phone mobility data for 10 per cent of the British population”, the Oxford University experts found 4,254 individuals were vaccinated.
This group was then tracked through 40 “CDR [call data records] with corresponding location observations” every day, and monitored for behavioural change by analysing their data for the week prior and week after the vaccination event.” (paywalled link)
Firstly, look at the admission that 10% of the British population were tracked without their knowledge. You do the maths – and marvel that this broad sweep caught the proud sum of 4,245 vaccinated Brits! Keep in mind that the general aim was to ‘monitor for behavioural changes’: so ethical! Frankly, I don’t give a fluff if this was for the ‘noble aim’ to do research on vaccination!
Next, see how the ‘sources’ are squirming to explain that it’s not hurting anyone, that it’s all oh so very anonymous and that they of course didn’t look any further than mobility, of course not! First, this is what the researchers found out:
“By comparing the movements of the vaccinated people against a different control group the scientists found that their “average pre-vaccination mobility increased by 218 meters [sic]”. (paywalled link)
Words fail me! Tracking millions of people behind their backs is worthwhile for SPI-B to find out that 4,254 jabbees became ‘more mobile’ by a staggering 218 meters? The explanations and reassurances of the ‘sources’ the DT contacted is making everything worse:
“A Government spokesman said: “All the data sets used in this research are set out in the paper which makes clear that the mobile phone location data used is GDPR-compliant and has been provided from a company that collected, cleaned, and anonymized the data. The data is at cell tower rather than individual level and the researchers were granted access to the dataset under a research contract with ethical approval provided to the researchers from the University of Oxford, working on behalf of SPI-B”. “ (paywalled link)
What ‘company’ would that be? Don’t expect to be told! But it’s all according to the GDPR data protection laws, so all is well – as if government or SPI-B wouldn’t breach those regulations in their noble fight to make us compliant to their covid regulations! We’re then reassured with another statement from ‘a government source’, telling the reporter that it’s not ‘individual surveillance’ because it’s based on cell phone data and isn’t “GPS tracing data which is commonly used by some large commercial companies for targeted advertising.” (paywalled link) – how very reassuring!
And see: this tracking doesn’t hurt, it’s so ‘anonymous’ and anyway, Big Tech has such data already, for advertising purposes – as if that intrusion hasn’t been talked about as illegal under GDPR rules already! Moreover, the project was ‘approved’:
“[…] by an Ethics committee at Oxford University, with the data “provided by the company as part of the Covid-19 response of sharing data for the public good. […] Only a small group of pre-approved researchers had access to the data.” (paywalled link)
Of course we believe that, don’t we! And why would anyone complain when told that this intrusion is ‘for the public good’, just like all the other covid restrictions! I can already hear the muzzle-stasi accuse people of being selfish, of undermining the fight against covid, of endangering people when they do not want to allow access to their private data by ‘pre-approved researchers’ , especially when ‘an ethics committee at Oxford’ had given their agreement.
Note that we’re not told which “Ethics Committee” this was, just as we’re not told which company it was that dealt with these data. Here’s the anodyne explanation by that ‘source’ or ‘spokesperson’ – they’re all anonymous so we don’t even know if this is one and the same person:
“This data is incidental and automatically generated when people use their mobile phones and is part of the general terms and conditions. Data was extensively anonymised by the company before it is used for research. Users are given a new token of identification each month to preserve anonymity and the only basic demographic data that is shared is age within a two-year bracket and self-reported sex.” (paywalled link)
Excuse me if I’m wrong, but if a company is ‘extensively anonymising data’ then clearly these data were previously not anonymous, right? And why should we believe that the nudge unit SPI-B which permitted this research in the first place isn’t keeping such non-anonymised data for later use? I cannot but agree with this statement:
“Campaigners against greater state surveillance in the UK said Britons would be “disturbed to discover they were unwittingly tracked and subjected to behavioural analysis via their phones”. (paywalled link)
Indeed – but since nobody knew or was told that their movements were tracked ‘for the public good’, why would anyone be upset in the first place? It’s this secrecy on which SPI-B relies. Don’t forget that these secretly obtained data will inform their next ‘nudges’. This last statement is spot on:
“Silkie Carlo, a spokesman for Big Brother Watch, said: “No one expects that by going to get a vaccine they will be tracked and monitored by their own Government. […] Between looming Covid passports and vaccine phone surveillance, this Government is turning Britain into a Big Brother state under the cover of Covid. This should be a wake up call to us all.” (paywalled link)
It should be a wake-up call indeed – but how can people be woken up when nobody knows what government, what the covid empire, what SPI-B are actually doing? I wonder how many other secret, totally ‘ethical’ surveillance schemes are being run behind our backs.
More than ever it seems fair to say that becoming a slave to one’s smartphones makes it easy for government to put us into chains. They don’t need ‘informed consent’, they do it anyway, in secret – and all for finding that 4,254 vaccinated people enlarged their radius of movement by 218 meters. That’s a fine result for ‘the public good’, well worth sacrificing the privacy of millions of us!
Please share this column far and wide before the SPI-B ‘nudge units’ tell their willing helpers in the propaganda branch of the covid government how best to pooh-pooh this report and bury it by producing hordes of big fat squirrels.
And finally – ponder this: is its ‘ethical’ to treat people who unwittingly were made to participate in this behavioural ‘experiment as if they were lab animals being used in ethically approved behavioural experiments inside a zoological laboratory? Is it? I’m still furious!
This has truly shocked me, I feel a letter coming on to my MP, for what it’s worth. I have saved this article for future reference and like you Viv I am bouncing off the walls. How bl..dy dare they.
I don’t find it shocking, just totally unacceptable. It is to be expected from a totalitarian government with its subservience to the globalist megalomaniacs.
If anyone is interested, John Redwoods Diary today is asking some interesting, hard hitting questions about the B.B.C. and it’s continuing anti brexit, pro woke and pro international agreements bias. (Globalism – world government.)
“By comparing the movements of the vaccinated people against a different control group the scientists found that their “average pre-vaccination mobility increased by 218 meters [sic]”
I would have expected the opposite to be the case. Janes Delingpole’s latest podcast features a NHS whistle blower who claims that thousands of people are suffering adverse reactions to the vaccine but it is never reported. What she has revealed is truly shocking.

There are lots of used mobile phones (not smart phones) on eBay for less than £10.00.
Fred Bloggs. Thanks for your advice (further down the thread). I couldn’t find a button to reply to you there.
I posted this on GAB. I hope you are OK with this Colliemum.
That’s fine by me and thank you!
The anti lockdown campaign https://backtonormal.org.uk use MeWe.
Viv is it OK for me to put the link for this article on their MeWe as well ?
Anybody can track a mobile phone. There’s lots offering this on the internet.
Here’s just one of them. You just enter in the phone number.
So if you give anyone your mobile phone number, they can track you (or your phone anyway).

I don’t have a mobile phone.
I took a look at this company and can’t believe any of this is legal. Thanks for the information Harryagain.
Looks like a good way to harvest live email addresses and mobile numbers apart from anything else. Legal? I don’t know
I found this yesterday in a comment attached to the first article on Lockdown Sceptics:-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCiC1oqbQMA
It’s not a long video and I don’t know whether it is actually true but reading Viv’s article I just wonder…….
I’m beginning to believe that the whole plan right from the very start of this COVID nonsense has been to finalise the total takeover of our lives and to make us absolutely subservient! I can understand why Viv is incandescent (I was shocked to find her writing on a Sunday. I can see now why she has done so!!!) I feel like smashing my wretched smart phone right now! I haven’t downloaded the NHS App. I will not be vaccinated!!!
I shall now look for an ordinary phone. Perhaps I could get a new battery for my old and beloved Nokia.
We are being abused by the State!
Do not smash it, just switch off we you do not need it or are not expecting a call. Always use technology for Only for your own benefit Frederica
Totally correct answer, Mike. Mostly, I leave mine at home anyway.
The thing is Mike I have a disabled husband. So when I go to the shops or Drs surgery, pharmacy etc I need to have a phone in case he needs to contact me urgently or if I ring in to check up on him. The mobile number is also the go-to number for all the medical people. They know that it is always glued to me at all times! So to keep doing that without putting myself at the mercy of the phone Gestapo I will have to get a non-smart phone and change the number on all the records. How I hate the evil people who are behind all this wickedness!
Me too Frederica. Evading Big Tech while coping with life, is more difficult even than evading Big Pharma.
Frederica you don’t have to change your number if you get a non-smart phone. Just ask your service provider for a new sim card that will fit in your phone. I switched phones a few months ago and was charged £2.50 or thereabouts for a new sim.
“I’m beginning to believe that the whole plan…” I’m sure it is along with the Green Crappery and much else; all as instructed by the puppet masters who have a hold over government policies. Certainly they are taking full advantage of it; I wonder if they will ever allow a return to normality unless forced to do so.
I read ( comments on ConWom) about how UK was thrown to the predators in the first place several decades ago, with the end result that every policy and law implemented in UK is totally in accordance with the wishes of Soros, Gates, etc. I understand there were murky dealings variously involving Major, Blair and Soros at that time involving the sale by Blair of some of our family silver, eg QuinetiQ, to Soros who made a vast profit. In return Soros backed the Labour in the 1997 election. and Blair some time later became very rich as we know, for this and other sellouts of UK. Then there was a firm Equity where Major had a large share. Then the sale of our gold…
Tracking by phone is, in my opinion, the start, and very least of our worries; it is a softener-up. Implanting tracking devices via the jab has long been labelled dangerous disinformation, and extremist fantasy. Of course ridicule is the first step-in the globalists’ playbook. But articles and papers in scientific literature do get published and patents do get filed. Courageous doctors who retain their integrity, Dr Carrie Madej and others, have been warning and showing the evidence for some time. e.g. Microsoft has patented a new cryptocurrency system that uses body activity data – Patent No. 2020060606 March 2020. ‘666’? Creepy, no? A bit like the ‘Luciferase’ in the injection. It’s almost like they are gloating; too clever by half.
Under the “Wellness Pass” partnership (how the Left loves to name things the polar opposite of their true nature) a certain B*ll G*tes is funding, in association with GAVI and Mastercard (now do you get it?), project Trust Stamp (another lovely misnomer, like Smart meter) that will create your AI-powered digital identity authentication (a la The Great Reset), based on your vaccine history. Madej claims, but with no definitive proof at the time of her lecture, they are testing it deep in Africa.

You have probably seen the clips of magnets sticking to peoples’ arms where they were jabbed; for one guy the magnet sticks anywhere on his body. And others report electronic devices trying to connect to them via bluetooth; one guy walked up to a TV and the screen lit up with info about him, and asked him to connect (yes it could be fake, but why, and he seemed genuine and perplexed more than worried.) But people have been warned to avoid Magnetic(!!) Resonance Imaging scans for three weeks after the jab, so what are we not being told about what is in the jabs?
It is too soon to role out to everyone; it would be noticed and spotted and, we have to hope, stopped. Hence normalising the idea of regular boosters – these people have patience. My guess is that amongst the millions of doses a few are covertly being trialled with beta versions of the advanced tech. If someone can convince me otherwise, please try. I would be only too pleased to be wrong.
Something to chew on for a Sunday morning.
Indeed. I haven’t found that one but Polly is a must on anyone’s list.
These two are on the chilling, cat’s cradle of insidious interconnectedness, of all the main globalist players:

Several folk reported on ID last year that they would be out for a stroll during lockdown and that shortly after a police van drove past
their smart phone would vibrate and there would be a Go Home message. Facial recognition and a link to their smart phone presumably.
Buy a ‘burner’ sim if you don’t want the ‘big state’ to track you. Wonder if these are banned in China? Probably under consideration here under Johnsons surveillance state heave to the Left.
Amazing Polly has been warning people to get rid of their smartphones, and to have instead the simpler (Pay as You Go?) mobile phone if they can, in her video “Are You being Groomed?”
This has been taken off You Tube, unsurprisingly. And I haven’t managed so far to find it on Bitchute or anywhere else (maybe someone can?). But in short she describes how people (kids particularly) love their all -singing all -dancing gadget where (YAY !) you can take store and share photos, tweet, watch videos , listen to music, play computer games, read magazines etc etc etc etc. This is the grooming bit where they get as many suckers as possible to have smartphones who don’t really need them. The fun bits will all eventually be withdrawn she says, leaving us with nothing but device where all your data will be in one place, needed to make purchases etc . TPTB will be able to use it to snoop on everything you do and stop your transactions if they wish, and even take your money directly from your bank account if you displease them . Total control.
PS re “Is it ethical?…”
TPTB totally lack the concept, likewise the concept of lawfulness. They lack all scruples and morality and will stop at nothing. Truly terrifying.

Found Amazing Polly “You are being Groomed” link :

Mary ‘they’ wont care whether it is ‘ethical’ or not. They will be in total control and any suggestion that we have any personal rights to privacy or consideration will be brushed aside under the premise that it is all in the best interests of “The State”!
I am shocked by the fact that so many (my own son included!) think that it is absolutely fine to keep all your records on a smart phone and wave it over every pay point when buying goods and services! I still keep paper records and lock sensitive information in my safe!
You’re right about stuff being wiped off places like YouTube. The surveillance state is working against us 24/7 now!
I finally found AP’s video “You are being groomed”, plus one other re the danger of smartphones . I posted the links here with a further comment , but it vanished . This is odd since you can usually see comments here even before they are moderated. I now wait and see if they show up.
They had ended in the spam bin – note last because you posted the links to two videos. One is ‘safe'(er).
I’ve retrieved it.

PPPS 2 more good reasons for not having a smartphone says Amazing Polly, are that it takes trillions of £ business out of the mouths of Big Tech which is being weaponised against us. .
And it hampers TPTB’s drive to try to make everyone pay for goods in shops etc by smartphone rather than by debit card or cash; an avenue that giving Government total control over us. Or even she says to make a smartphone necessary to gain access to our own apartment block ! Think about it !!!!

Mary – I think your last line should have read: ‘to gain access to our own keep-them-apart-ment block’. Think about it.
Keep them apart, yes Michael D. ‘They’ haven’t quite managed to kill off all the pubs have they. We might ‘communicate’ there without being spied on. Or are we?
