The Reform Club, Pall Mall, London – sadly not (yet) the “Fed-Up Club” …

There’s a new, virtual club around. Its membership is growing by the day. It’s called the “Fed-Up Club”: fed up with CV-19, fed up with Lockdown, fed up with politicians, ‘Our MSM’, ‘Our Sacred Cow’, fed up especially with ‘experts’ for everything, opinionating in the MSM. This club is international. Its members have stopped watching the CV-19 news on TV and have stopped reading CV-19 articles in the MSM. They look at blogs and youtube clips if they want to inform themselves while being fully aware that youtube is taking down videos from doctors (e.g. in the USA) who are critical of the ‘Party Line’, i.e. that we’re all gonna die.

While I’m a card-carrying member of said virtual club I still have to scan the news while omitting watching any TV programmes, from government PR productions to ‘experts’ criticising government as their ‘expertise’ lies solely in ‘bash No 10’. Thus I found some gasp-inducing reports and articles this morning, shoring up the monolithic block of ‘Lockdown good’ and ‘Protect you-know-what’ and ‘save lives’. There are some worrying aspects though. We’re seeing the first attempts to use this lockdown ‘experience’ to push the Climate Agenda – exactly as some of us have been predicting. More on that below.

Firstly though: travel news! Yes, after yesterday’s reports on the EU’s attempts to ‘save the tourism industry’ (here), the DT’s Brussels correspondent – nothing to report on the ongoing negotiations, mind! –  writes a beautiful little article titled “Britons welcome in EU this summer if coronavirus restrictions lifted, European Commission says”. Now isn’t that nice! Perish the thought that they just want our money – this is about them loving us:

“British travellers will be welcome in the EU this summer if coronavirus restrictions are lifted in time, the European Commission said on Wednesday. Vera Jourova, a vice-president in the EU executive, […] moved to quash fears that Britons might not be able to benefit from EU moves to allow tourism this summer season because of, among other issues, the UK response to Coronavirus.”. (link)

But hold your horses and don’t rush onto travel agents’ sites to book your summer holiday abroad! Other ‘experts’ are having their say in a report in the Times, warning that it could take four hours before you can board a plane:

“It is widely expected that some form of health screening will be demanded before and after passengers fly to prevent a second wave of the virus. One expert said that four-hour waits before departures could be expected, up from one or two now, as medical tests were added to the normal pre-flight ritual of check-in, security, passport control and boarding.” (link, paywalled).

Well, I suppose one could always travel to the Continent by ferries and trains or cars … in any case: it’ll cost you, guv.

More ‘experts’ have come to the fore – moaning that the “Care Home Industry” is the step-child of the NHS:

“Social care cannot remain the poor relation of the NHS any longer, the industry demanded, as ministers faced questions about the rising death toll of the elderly outside hospitals. […] Campaigners have said that a focus on the NHS meant care homes were at the back of the queue for testing and protective equipment.” (link, paywalled)

Isn’t it strange how suddenly everybody is so very concerned about the elderly, their care, their health … Where were those ‘campaigners’ for example when there were anecdotal reports last month that care home directors handed out ‘DNR’ agreement forms to their inmates, some even signing them en bloc for them?

May I respectfully suggest that these ‘campaigners’ are entering the debate now because they expect hand-outs from PHE (’protective clothing’) and – forgive me for being very crude and cynical – because their ‘raw material’, the elderly, are dying in greater numbers, in care homes, hospitals and at home, thus reducing their income?

Staying with care homes and death numbers: look, the death toll has risen again! And wouldn’t you know: it’s because government has introduced a new method of ‘counting’, adding care home deaths to the whole lot (link, paywalled). We know that these deaths can be due to anything, that ‘CV-19’ on the death certificate is an assumption, with no tests and no post-mortems. But hey, let’s win the headlines competition for ‘the most CV-19 deaths in any country’!

There was a new ‘personality’ performing on the daily PR production – the ‘Medical director of PHE’ … (link, paywalled). One of the things she told the reporters was that, sadly, car traffic has risen and reached 56% of pre-lockdown figures. Her wail, predictably, was that this is a bad thing and that we all must ‘stay at home to save lives’ and to protect you-know-what. Her ‘message’ was that Lockdown should continue – and lo and behold, Police Top Brass are weighing in, with warnings should Lockdown be eased:

“Senior police are braced for a rise in crime because of a “toxic mix” of young men out of work, a resumption of public gatherings and the eventual reopening of licensed venues. In London police are said to be concerned about a surge in drugs and knife crime when gang members try to take back control of their postcodes.” (link, paywalled)

Well – there’s an easy solution: keep yoof in lockdown and let the oldies out! Or would that be too discriminating, perhaps even racist?

And so to ‘green’ stuff. ‘Experts’ have looked at air pollution and found that, thanks to the Lockdown we’ve all been breathing cleaner air. Never mind that we’re all stuck at home still, breathing indoor air  … lives have been saved! Look at those numbers:

“More than 1,700 deaths in the UK have been avoided in the past month due to lower air pollution during lockdown, a report says. Nitrogen dioxide levels have fallen by 36 per cent and toxic particles by 9 per cent on average in British cities in the past 30 days, according to analysis by the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA). It estimates there have been 11,000 avoided deaths from air pollution in Europe in that time, of which 1,752 are in the UK.” (link, paywalled)

I’m impressed! Greta must be so pleased! But of course they had to go and mess it up in typical greenery fashion, with utter inanity, disregarding the context of Lockdown:

“Over the same period, the analysis shows the fall in air pollution has resulted in 120,000 fewer days off work sick, 1,600 fewer asthma cases in children, 250 fewer emergency visits to hospital for asthma in the UK.” (link, paywalled)

How on earth can one be ‘off work sick’ when one isn’t at work at all, thanks to Lockdown? How do they determine those asthma cases in children when GP surgeries are only dealing with CV-19 cases, by phone? And how do they know that there were precisely 250 ‘fewer emergency visits’ to A&E when we’re told that A&E units across the country have seen hardly any patients at all: asthma, heart attacks, strokes, no matter?  But it was good to be told that ‘green is good for your health’.

It doesn’t end there. The DT’s Ambrose Evans-Pritchard has written a eulogy on post-war industries going to ‘go green’, with only those dratted German car manufacturers being against it. He’s turned full-on ‘green’: Paris Accord and Climate Change reports are the new economic saviours and ‘petrol’ industries are Out as renewables will garner easier credit – taking a swipe in passing at bad Saudi-Arabia and Putin, those petrol states, and at those horrid populists like Trump and Bolsonaro. And omigawd – Johnson hasn’t paid attention because … SAGE! (link)

Strangely enough though A E-P omits reporting that German industrialists other than the bad petrol car makers have pointed out that they cannot manufacture e.g. PPE under the EU’s ‘green deal rules’ because they have to comply with these EU rules while Big Business outsources their products to … China, where these EU climate and environmental diktats are disregarded.

A E-P doesn’t mention China’s coal power stations either, nor the economic effect all this greenery will have on us consumers. We’ll have less in our wallets because of job losses and unemployment, because of ever rising taxes. We won’t be able to afford all that shiny green stuff! Since the economy is crashing anyway thanks to Lockdown, let’s crash it a bit further by ‘going green’, right, Mr A E-P?

And finally, back to CV-19 (sorry …): there are reports that this Ebola drug Remdesivir might accelerate the recovery of very sick CV-19 patients (link). Ah, but … say ‘experts’. Do you know – I’m getting heartily sick of all those experts parading themselves in ‘Our MSM’. There are modellers, epidemiologists, virologists, campaigners galore. They warn about taking clinical reports seriously because ‘nothing is known about the virus’ and the clinical trial numbers are too small … let’s not confuse the public with clinical observations!

Isn’t it strange that videos from actual clinicians are being removed, that actual clinicians who are actually treating actual patients aren’t heard, that reports from actual pathologists who have actually done actual post-mortems are sidelined? It couldn’t possibly be because their reports aren’t toeing the international MSM line about ‘saving lives by Lockdown’, that we must be kept in fear and subjugation and therefore don’t need no reports from actual clinicians disturbing the MSM hymns?

Meanwhile, keep safe and enjoy the continuing Lockdown as best you can. Stay vigilant and join the “Fed-Up Club”!

KBO!
