Him again – because of “Beergate”
We really have no problems at all here in Blighty! The main topic for our MSM today is ‘Beergate’. Starmer’s announcement, that he would resign as Labour leader should he get a police fine, is splashed across most of the print editions’ front pages. The headlines are spinning this differently, depending on the political leaning of the papers. You can check them out at the usual place (link). Also, The Queen will not open Parliament with the Queen’s speech, Prince Charles will deliver that speech in her place.
As for that Starmer ‘announcement’: The Mirror shouts that this is what ‘honour looks like, BJ’, and the Guardian tells us that Labour activists claim they ‘have proof’ that Starmer was working. The Speccie observes that this announcement wasn’t as striking as it could have been because it took Starmer three days to come up with it, working it out with his party members. The DM quite rightly remarks that
“[…] his opponents said this had placed detectives in the difficult position of knowing their decisions could decapitate the official opposition and leave Labour looking for new leadership.” (link)
Just so … ! Cynical me thinks that Labour possibly assumes that the Durham police might be Labourites themselves, and that Durham Labour activists may have done their utmost, producing documents to show that ‘Starmer was working’. “Beergate” is important because it shows that our rulers do bend ‘teh rulz’ as and when it suits them.
Moreover it’s interesting that our MSM are now following ‘Beergate’ like a pack of slobbering hounds without once asking if just perhaps the whole ‘covid rulz’ were irrelevant since our party leaders only observed them when it suited them.
When Partygate broke Laura Dodsworth asked one question which has of course not been answered by our covid-obsessed establishment: did those rule-breaking leaders know or believe that actually, covid wasn’t as dangerous as they made the rest of us believe? Well, whichever way this ends, it’s certain that both Party~ and Beer~Gate have shown us plebs that our ‘betters’ do as they like, lie as much as they can get away with and that there’s no difference between any of them.
Meanwhile the wannabe Napoleon from across the Channel is seizing the opportunity of his being the EU ‘head’ until the end of next month.He wants to ‘reform’ the EU as his political monument and has come up with another brilliant idea. The DT reports:
“The French President advocated a “new European political community” allowing countries such as the UK and Ukraine the chance to choose their level of integration with Brussels. Mr Macron’s plan has echoes of his previous calls for a multi-speed Europe of “concentric circles” and could put the UK on the outer ring of the new organisation.” (paywalled link)
Crikey. That has put us into place – on the same level as the Ukraine … I’m sure our Remainers will be delighted, especially since Macron said that joining this ‘outer circle’:
“[…] wouldn’t mean that you couldn’t in the future join the European Union. And it also wouldn’t be limited to those who have left the European Union,” he said, in a reference to Britain.” (paywalled link)
Macron’s ‘idea’ of ‘concentric circles’ isn’t new, he “first mooted the concentric circles idea in 2018 as a way of keeping the EU together after the Brexit referendum vote” (paywalled link). Well, it didn’t lead to anything then, but like any politician, Macron is using a current crisis to warm up his idea again:
“In an apparent riposte to Russian aggression, he said the organisation “would enable democratic European nations who adhere to our values to find a new space for political cooperation”. Members would cooperate in areas such as security, transport, energy and investment and could agree to make it easier for young people, tourists and workers to travel between member countries, he said.” (paywalled link)
Blimey – isn’t that ‘European value’, of Freedom of Movement not working properly, after all those years? Perhaps he’s thinking of incorporating the Ukrainian army into his pet project of creating an EU army? Is he thinking of member states ‘sharing’ their gas and oil resources between themselves, just as they ‘share investments’? In other words, make the EU even more Brussels-centric. Yes, our Whitehall Remain mandarins would love this: less work for them!
I leave you with a brief summary of articles regarding yesterday’s Victory Parade in Moscow. The BBC has the temerity to publish a concoction by their ‘fact-checkers’ who ‘fact-checked’ Mr Putin’s speech. It’s not even a good propaganda piece. It’s written in woolly, weaselly language and simply proceeds from the premise that Mr Putin is a liar so nothing of what he says can possibly be correct. Here’s the link, if you must.
The DT meanwhile ‘fact-checked’ the military hardware on display, also getting a dig into the fact that there was no fly-past because of the weather – something which of course would never ever happen here in Blighty, nevah! See this:

Yes, ‘Russia – bad’ because their latest military hardware apparently had teething problems. Again that’s something which would never happen here in Blighty. The ‘difficulties’ with the newly developed tank for our Army: it never happened, ok?
The DT is disgracing itself even further. They use the photo of the crowd of Russians streaming through Moscow with their flags and the photos of their fallen family members below the headline “Russia admits it faces economic collapse over Putin’s war” (paywalled link), insinuating that these are all Russiains protesting against said ‘economic collapse’.
Western economic analysts predict doom and gloom for Russia, overlooking that Western economies face an equally if not worse gloomy picture. They were also very much disappointed that Mr Putin didn’t say any of the things they predicted in the days prior to yesterday:
“The president did not use a speech to formally declare war against Ukraine or announce a larger-scale mobilisation, continuing to refer to the conflict as a “special operation”. Krishna Guha, an analyst at Evercore, said Mr Putin “is wary of risking domestic support for the war through mass conscription”.” (paywalled link)
Funny how all those experts still believe that Mr Putin ticks like any western politician who follows the ‘punditry’ of western journalists and tries hard not to disappoint them! Western journalists simply haven’t grasped the fact that yesterday was a day of celebrating the victory over Hitler and not a day to make a speech satisfying them and their Russia-phobic editors.
But then again, this is how “we” do politics here in the West. We have manipulating, lying politicians who are in cahoots with the MSM, doing ‘politics by spin’, needing to be ‘fact checked’ by some self-appointed gurus who also know nothing but are good at copying and pasting from approved ‘sources’. Someone like Mr Putin does not fit into that scheme.
I leave you with another text, published yesterday. It’s an antidote to the picture painted in our MSM, that the Ukraine is ‘winning’ and Russia is losing.
Meanwhile, let ‘Beergate’ unfold. It’ll do nothing to make us esteem our politicians, never mind regarding them as ‘people of honour’.

This is only the start of it.
One of my favourite films is “North West Frontier’. It is set in the time of the remaining British Raj where the Islamic factions (now presumably Pakistan) were warring against both the British and also the other religious factions that make up the Indian nation. During the film one Gupta – a steam engine driver – states that he wishes he could bang all the heads of his people together and make them see sense!
That’s how I feel about the people of my Country. The Country that used to be patriotic British and Christian! Now from the link to a text that Viv posted in yesterdays ‘betrayal’, I can see that Russia is still a country that is largely “unpolluted” by immigration! Thus Russians still feel like Russians. They know their history (the whole of it including the bad bits!!) and yet still retain their patriotic love and reverence foe their homeland and its culture.
The West in general is now being turned into a series of nations that do not know (or care about) their history and have no real interest in their cultural or historical futures! Heaven help us all!

This whole thing stinks, it looks like pharma and our governments have been making our lives a misery, bankrupting our countries and killing us with dodgy vaccines to make themselves very rich. I wonder if we can find out who got paid what in Britain?
The EEC, previously called the Common Market no longer seems to have any financial woes. When Great Britain pretended to leave years and years ago, there was much weeping and gnashing of teeth. At that time we were apparently no longer funding 40 pct of the edifice with more presidents than a Monte Python sketch.
So where are they getting their money from? Italy, Greece, Spain to name but three are all bankrupt. Hungry, and Poundland are rattling their manacles. I wish I had the time to follow the money.
With Russian fuel cut off Jermany, if not the whole pot is certainly the biggest contributor. And much reduced output = revenue reduction.
I’m guessing, (a bbc fact) that we are still funding this shower, by the backdoor.

In case you’re not a regular reader of TCW, here’s an article by Frank Wright which describes the state of our Army. Of course, the MSM ‘military correspondents’ don’t write about that – far easier to ‘fact check’ the Russian military and pretend “we” are better.
I draw your attention to the number of civilians employed at the MoD – they’re in addition to the soldiers serving in logistics etc.
MOD civil servants, supported by other permanent secretaries, have long lobbied ministers for the UK to join an EU army. It has been policy to run down the UK army as an independent force on the assumption it would never again be a stand alone force operating either within the EU or alongside the US. The lobbying continued, in fact intensified, after Brexit. While successive governments kept us in the dark as much as possible this was only possible with an all too supine media.
In the US, Senator Rand Paul, arguing against Biden’s ‘disinformation unit’, said the biggest source of disnformation ever is the US government. It also true of the UK government alas.
The internet, for now, allows us to ferret out facts goverments would rather we did not know. Thus, the enthusiasm for online censorship. The ‘protrection from harm’ sought is really protection for goverment propaganda and outright lies being exposed.
Indeed Stout; increasing the numbers in our military to that fit for an independent nation is absolutely necessary. We certainly won’t get such policy while Boris, under the control of his globalist mates, is PM. My worry is that any possible alternative PMs are tarred with the same brush.
Which of course they will be Jack because they have all been drawn out of the same barrel! You know the old saying…..one rotten apple in a barrel can wreck the whole lot! What we need is a new barrel to draw from!
