Aww there’s cute, innit! Bless!
I can’t help but be astonished when I look at the latest reports from Kabul and on what our ‘leaders’ are doing. They’re unbearably cute in displaying ‘faith’ in those leaders. It’s their underlying belief that the Bidens and Johnsons of this world can actually achieve something, namely to get the Taliban to gracefully extend the deadline permitting them to fly out all and sundry. It’s touchingly cute.
It’s even more cute when one compares on the one hand the many reports about how Biden has lost the plot. Richard Littlejohn for example even called Mr Biden and his vice president ‘Lord and Lady Gaga of politics’ in his article in the DM (link). On the other hand, there’s the adorable faith displayed by BJ, telling the nation that, as leader of the G7, he will negotiate with the Taliban about extending that evacuation deadline.
Yesterday Biden talked to BJ in preparation for the ‘virtual G7 meeting today – sweet, innit, how slowly the clocks in the G7 leaders’ offices run! Today they’ll discuss the situation in Kabul – aww bless! They’ll talk about getting Biden to put pressure on the Taliban to extend that deadline (link).
Amazingly, our ‘war’ correspondents, writing from their secure armchairs and sofas in the UK, also seem to believe that, provided they can produce a multitude of headlines on how the Taliban isn’t the fluffy Mk II version they told us about two weeks ago, they can force the government to ‘do something’. Sweet, innit!
None of them seem to get it. On the one hand they report that the Taliban has warned the West that the 31st of August is a red line, that there ‘will be consequences’ should the Western Allies not have left their ‘occupation’ of Afghanistan (link). On the other hand we read that Biden actually ‘banned’ US troops from leaving Kabul Airport last week because he ‘feared a Black Hawk down’ incident. Now, at the last hour, he’s permitting them to go and rescue people amidst the huge chaos in Kabul, not least created by his order (link). How cute is that!
Rounding this up, there are the reports that ‘up North in Afghanistan’ there’s a sort-of resistance, led by the son of a former anti-Taliban and anti-Soviet warlord. The older ones amongst us remember that the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan in 1979 and that the US supported the newly forming resistance against the Soviets – a group calling themselves the Taliban. That Northern warlord was assassinated when the Taliban took over and drove out the Soviets in the 1990s. Now it’s the turn of his son who is, we’re told, ‘Sandhurst-educated’ (link). Aww, there’s adorable! And how do we know about all that, about the rumours that they’ll capitulate or won’t? Because they’re all on twitter – how cute!
You’ll have noticed that no mention is being made at all about our leaders talking to the two other big players – Russia and China. Perhaps they do so in deepest secrecy, but the Defence Secretary, Ben Wallace, is rightly more concerned with getting out as many as possible so won’t have much time. As for the Foreign Secretary, Mr Raab … well, we know what he’s doing, don’t we: fighting for survival in his job.
Meanwhile, there’s a former Tory Party leader, a certain William Hague, who must be secretly gloating that he had resigned from the Tory Party leadership just in time, before Blair got us into this mess. He now warns in an opinion piece in the Times of ‘danger’ – not coming from Afghanistan but from Africa (link, paywalled). That’s cute – but isn’t that also a bit racist?
And so to ‘Extinction Rebellion’, blocking everything in London. The police stood around for a bit before making arrests. I’m sure Londoners will be as delighted about this street theatre as the Mayor of London, as Carrie and as BJ. It’s just what the nation needs to distract us from the Kabul mess. Surely Londoners will happily put up with more disruptions to their lives already severely disrupted by the lockdowns we remember so fondly. It’s all about ‘saving the planet’ – and it’s such good fun!
However – here’s a strange thing. There are lots of photos documenting what they were doing – see this report, for example. What struck me is that the whole lot of them is hideously white. Even those arrested by the Met police are exclusively white. Where are BLM protesters? Don’t they want to save the planet? Surely the BAME people in our country are as concerned about the fate of our planet as these white, posh ‘rebels’. Surely these XRers can’t be deeply racist, can they?
It’s all so unbearably cute: the ‘XR’ street theatre with their oh-so-adorably funny actions producing delightful images; the darling faith of our MSM in the wisdom and power of our leaders who will surely be able to ‘save lives’; the endearing belief held by those leaders that the Taliban is actually misunderstood and will abandon their brutal ways, that they will give in to western demands for more time to ‘save lives’ … The cuteness of all that is truly endearing!
Those of us who don’t share the beliefs of the leaders and MSM writers know that reality will bite, as it always does. We’ll expect the MSM to turn on those leaders in which they’re putting their faith this morning, against all rational analysis. Don’t expect our darling MSM to ask how come that so many Brits were in Afghanistan in the first place. Don’t expect them to ask why we were and are paying for all this jazz.
Instead, repeat after me: the Taliban isn’t cuddly, putting giant pink tables in the middle of London isn’t ‘fun’. As usual we’ll pay for this, from cleaning up London streets to the green ‘measures’ coming our way to supporting all those now being flown out fo Kabul – known terrorists included.
It’s yet another instance of telling us plebs to shut up and pay later. Meanwhile, we surely must enjoy all those images – the sad and scary ones from Afghanistan and the ‘fun’ ones from London. After all – what’s not to like? Covid news have been relegated from the top of the front pages and there’s not been a squeak out of SAGE for days and days. Surely experiencing a bit of overwhelming cuteness instead is worth it!
KBO!
Here we go. As expected.
House prices rise. Again.
£Millions given out to house Afghans.

An interesting document.
Apparently the US gave four C-130 military transport aircraft to the Afghan army.
The US doesn’t have enough transport aircraft to help evacuate US citizens because they gave them to the Afghans.

It may take a moment or two to load as PDF files do.
A little bit off topic but this Amazing Polly video does start off talking about Afghanistan.
Here Polly delves into Nazi connections among the leaders of European companies and banks. I find this interesting because I’ve been writing articles here for years about Nazi roots to globalism and the EU, they seemed outrageous to many at the time but now not so much.

A two minute video that tells it like it is about Afghanistan even if the delivery is a tad informal.

Despite the choice language, he is dead right, innit.
For me the XR theatre is another sign of our sick society. With all the CCTV in our streets the ‘authorities’ would have been fully aware of the construction of the Pink Table in the middle of a London road. The question is why was nothing done immediately, before all the ‘actors’ got on the scene? My conclusion is it is truly all theatre and a pathetic performance by people more interested in ‘having a laugh’ than considering the damage caused by zero carbon policies and indeed the Swiss cheese theory of AGW.
As far as the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan is concerned ‘a picture speaks a thousand words’ and how interesting the picture of the Sandhurst-trained Ahmad Massoud was with his followers was in the Mail Online.
It was right out of an advert with not a hair out of place like the corny television westerns. Excepting the leader, all were wearing neat face nappies towing the Globalist line. Can one honestly say these are real people who will martyr themselves but then show a fear for a seasonal respiratory illness?
The world is a stage for all these players, XR, British Police, NRF, Political leaders and the Media. It sickens me to think of these people perpetrating lies and distracting people from the real world. Some people appear to be able to live with deceit.
Unfortunately their intended “real world” will be far different from the real world that we have known. Somehow they have to be stopped using any and all possible means.
Hello, Jack.
“Somehow they have to be stopped using any and all possible means.”
Really? Are you telling us that ‘the end justifies the means?”
Dangerous territory there, old boy.
Whereas if it had been a ‘Covid Freedom demo or even a WTO Brexit supporting demo, they would have been all over it. Whilst the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis (Cressida Dick) is way out of her depth and needs replacing in addition to the other clown in City Hall, the buck for me stops with the resident clown in Downing Street. All the things that are presently going pear shaped are happening on his watch, and his watch alone, simple as………………Johnson out, and out now.
This morning on French TV C6 we learned that BJ would take in 20000 Afgans. Patrick Paganini an authority on immigration sugests that to save time and money BJ could come over to Calais and take his pick. lol
The political facts of life. The British government think England is not multi-cultural enough. And just too white. That is where we are at.
We were never asked if we wanted to become a multicultural country. Imposed on us by corrupt governments and usually by stealth.
Right on, Jack. We were never asked because nobody in the driving seats cares a button about the rest of the passengers, until it is time to refuel. Once a candidate reaches Parliament or Parliamentary office, the clarion call becomes: “Gentlemen, start your egos.”
As always, the damage is done whenever there is a loose nut behind the wheel.
Jack Thomas at 2.05pm.
No we were never asked and very few of us do want it.
And heres one who resists, I refuse to have anything to do with the fuzzy wuzzies or foreign trash who are in our country.
Good Mike; I used to enjoy an “Indian” takeaway but haven’t had one for years now. Sadly there are too many businesses owned by them which appear not to be. Asda’s one; not shopped there since its takeover.
And just how will they be housed?
Plus the hotels are full of dinghy people.
Harryagain, please try to stop moaning. I thought in your eyes everything was a bed of roses under your hero Boris…..
In the land of a foolish and priapic leader, mockery works better than earnest explanation and analysis. But those latter two, which should come later, are also needed. Not too many years ago one could rely on the heavyweight newspapers and even the BBC but where now? Lightweight presenters, unserious subjects, frivolous explanations. Not England, Trivialand. God help us all.

You are so right Julian,
Bring back the News of the World, they were the supreme muck rakers.
