The latest: testing on your doorstep … show that you’re not a leper

 

 

Confusion must have reigned supreme in the newsrooms and editorial offices today. One would have thought that in this ongoing propaganda war one or the other chief editor or indeed one of the ‘senior sources’ in the health empire would’ve provided “guidance” – but no. It’s as if the wells of outrage, fear and hysteria have become somewhat exhausted. Even articles on the prospects of a ‘summer holiday’ and how to plan for it are looking tired.

One can best describe this astounding phenomenon by labelling the various efforts with ‘they don’t know what they’re doing’, adding ‘giveth with one hand and taketh away with the other’, with a ‘we’re still here’, combined with ‘we’ve said so ages ago but nobody was listening’ added into the mix – a clear case of ‘CYA‘. Yes, it’s about that South Africa covid mutation.

I’m sure we’ve all learned now how our covid imperium is working: one player is promising the famous ‘sunny uplands’ while the other immediately promotes another onslaught on our lives. This is the ‘scenario’: 105 (!) cases of that SA mutant have been detected across the country, eleven of them without ‘clear links to international travel’. This is so scary that Hancock decreed something new had to happen: ‘surge testing’. That’s when Test & Tracers are going to go from house to house in the ‘affected areas’ and ‘residents will be requested to take a PCR test regardless of symptoms.’ From today, 800,000 people will be tested in this way.

It’s interesting though, isn’t it: case numbers have been plummeting – the covid ‘news’ were concerned with the vaccine war – the still-to-be-saved NHS was still trying to get headlines on their ‘we’re overwhelmed’ plight – and all last week there wasn’t a thing about case numbers to be found in any headlines. That clearly needed to change.

I wondered when the next ‘we’re gonna die’ onslaught was going to happen. I also wondered when the vested interests of the Test & Trace brigade would be pushing to the forefront again – they have been somewhat neglected of late – and here it is: door-to-door testing! If this is being swallowed by the people in those areas affected – remember, there are 105 cases! – then who’s to say that this will become the ‘new normal’: people being tested, regardless, on their doorsteps – at the whim of the covid dictators.

It’s odd though that 11 (!) of those showing the SA mutant so far hadn’t been travelling at all, but that doesn’t really matter: we’re all under suspicion, and it doesn’t matter that such door-to-door testing might open the doors to criminals preying on the elderly. It’s frightening though that there are already those in the wider population who think this is ‘a good thing’ because ‘people might not know they have the mutant’, that the local councils ought to have done this weeks ago. Am I the only one who is reminded of that biblical story which led to the Exodus?

Just as the Test & Trace brigade needed to get back into the limelight, so did SAGE. They now claim they’ve told No 10 weeks ago about this mutant. Yes, dears, we know – reports on this mutant were in the papers accompanied by the scare reports that it’s not known if the vaccines being rolled out would protect against that mutant. We also recall that, like the Kent variety, the mutant was said to be ‘more infectious but not as deadly’ as the original.

So why the fuss now? Because it’s about more control of us plebs, never mind the government telling us that finding this mutant wouldn’t affect the lockdown rules which allegedly will be eased! Meanwhile, Labour demands that all travellers from foreign countries should be strictly quarantined – yes, all of them. It’s the precautionary principle running rampant.

They must believe that the Aussies did right to put the whole of Perth into strict lockdown because one (!) person was found to have covid. If you think Labour is on shaky ground – no, they’re not, they’re just regurgitating what SAGE  has been telling BJ ‘for some time’. It’s as if government and ‘loyal opposition’ should follow SAGE and never mind how impractical their advice is. SAGE has decided that it’s not sufficient to install ‘travel bans’ for different, covid stricken countries, that only a strict quarantine for all coming here will do and now so say ‘all of us covid imperators’.

It’s as if they want us ‘to do a NZ’, closing all borders to everybody, to keep us mutant-free. I wonder if those fabulous SAGEs are aware that mutants can arise anywhere at any time, e.g. the home-grown Kent mutant. Why don’t they ask how it’s possible that there are 11 cases -so far! – with no link to international travel? Still, ‘public health officials’ think there are hundreds more to be found – so test we must.

It seems that we don’t need to worry about the economy getting back to normal, not when we have that new ‘covid industry’ where the ailing hospitality sector, i.e. hotels, can be turned into covid quarantine stations for all because SAGE says so, and where Test & tracers can be let loose, street for street, in our communities. Sunak’s money tree will produce enough dosh to pay for it all.

‘Keeping us safe from covid’ is the label under which more and more surreptitious restrictions are being introduced. We’ll never be free because there’s no way we can be free of covid. That ‘zero covid’ aim so many covid fanatics want to achieve is a scientific impossibility. Meanwhile, there are already news that we’ll have to get used to getting an annual ‘covid jab’ and that muzzle wearing will become the only way we’ll be permitted out. Happy new covid world …
