The last opportunity for ‘bottoms up’ this year – cheers!
On the last day of the year the esteemed editors of the Westminster MSM generally are expected to produce a ‘look back on the year ending today’. For some strange reason there’s nothing I could find even though surely some mention ought to have been made about the death of the Queen, or about the strange happenings making 2022 into ‘the year of the three PMs’.
Another customary exercise indulged by the inmates of the MSM Newsrooms are attempts at predictions for the coming year. Well, perhaps we’ll get them tomorrow … For today though the reading peasants still buying the products of the dead tree press will find that the unbridled zeal of tyrannical petty civil serpents is raising its ugly head again: there’s still covid, dontcha know, so ‘restrictions; are being put in place for travellers from China. That’s ‘Teh News’ – check the headlines out in the usual place (link).
Worse though is that the nudgers in the background of Whitehall are already setting the theme for next year: Lockdown Whitty has apparently come out of retirement – see the headline of the leading article in The Times this morning: “Covid pandemic blamed for increase in heart deaths” (link, paywalled).
If you thought even for a second that finally ‘excess deaths’ due to the enforced vaccination are being acknowledged – sorry, nope, that’s not happening. These deaths, dontcha know, are the fault of the patients. They did as they were told, didn’t visit their GPs, thus didn’t get the statins everybody now is supposed to take – and that’s why they died. Whitty sez so. Yes, really:
“Thousands of middle-aged people are dying of heart conditions because they did not get statins or blood pressure medicines during the pandemic, Sir Chris Whitty has warned ministers. The chief medical officer is becoming increasingly worried about higher numbers of deaths than normal this year from preventable conditions, fearing that Britain is starting to see the after-effects of people staying away from GP surgeries.” (link, paywalled)
Yes, it’s again our own fault: obeying the Lockdowners was actually ‘a bad thing’. Here’s more (this and all following emphases are mine):
“People’s reluctance to bother the NHS with apparently routine conditions after pleas to stay at home except for emergencies during 2020 and last year is thought to be contributing to a surge in excess deaths since the spring. […] Although the reasons are not fully understood, ambulance delays have previously been cited by senior doctors as worsening the death toll as the NHS struggles to treat heart attacks and strokes promptly.” (link, paywalled)
Yes, that’s right: ‘people’s reluctance’ to ‘bother the NHS’ is to blame, not the inaccessibility of GP surgeries nor the NHS hospital’s ‘covid restricitons’! Moreover, even now, nearly three years later, ‘Lockdown Whitty’ and those ‘senior doctors’ – probably all nicely ensconced in plush offices with lovely stipends higher than MPs ore indeed the PM – still ‘don’t understand’ why this is happening. Words fail me!
Nothing could illustrate better how far removed these ‘senior doctors’ are from the daily lives of us plebs who pay them! Else they’d known, at the very least, that prescriptions were still forthcoming. Surely they must have been aware of the ‘video consultations’ by GPs. After all, these were promoted and praised in our lovely MSM ever since lockdowns! But nooo: it’s our, the patients’ fault, for being obedient little lemmings, ‘saving’ and ‘protecting’ the NHS and not bothering yon Sacred Cow!
Did I say that there’s not one word in this whole article about possible side effects of the enforced mass vaccinations? There isn’t. There’s not even one word about the vaccination roll-out which used up the working hours of GPs and nurses. Just as it was our fault for getting covid – shoulda worn a face nappy, shoulda got the vaxx – it’s our fault that we’re now dying:
“Now Whitty is understood to have raised the alarm in government about the potential contribution of patients’ inability to get preventive drugs that are known to save lives when people were staying away from GPs during the height of the pandemic.” (link, paywalled)
Yep – ’tis our fault: we ought to have ‘bothered’ our GPs and yon sacred Cow! There’s also not one word about cancer deaths, not one word about deaths due to vaxx side effects – well documented elsewhere – no, “we” simply needed ‘preventive drugs’ which we sadly were to stupid to get because we were such obedient lemmings! Gawd …!
Of course, those ‘senior doctors’ – faceless, nameless, unlike those who came forward warning about the effects of lockdowns on cancer deaths and were vilified or ‘cancelled’ – are supporting Lockdown Whitty! Where were their warnings in this year, in 2021, in the lockdown year 2020? Nowhere! But now they’re ‘concerned’:
“Senior doctors acknowledge concerns about the recent rise in excess deaths, agreeing that advice to stay away from the NHS could have contributed. They also point to unhealthy lifestyles during the pandemic, when millions cut down on exercise and drank more. The shift to online appointments may also be contributing.” (link, paywalled)
It could not be more glaringly obvious: dying now is our own fault for obeying the Lockdown rules. Well, at least the eating and drinking too much might be reduced now, given inflation. Also, “we” will certainly become healthier given the obsession of local councils up and down the country to enforce Net Zero by wasting our money on ill-thought out cycle paths while at the same time making driving to and from work even more dreadful;. Yon Welsh tinpot dictator has imposed a 20mph speed limit on all roads, dontcha know.
I am taking this ‘alarm’ by Lockdown Whitty as warning: we, the people, will become even more ‘medicalised’, stuffed with ‘preventative’ pills and subjected to forthcoming ‘vaccines’. Will ‘our NHS’, the Sacred Cow we ‘saved’ and ‘protected’, now demand proof that we did as we were told by taking statins, after having taken yon vaxx?
Is this nudge by Lockdown Whitty going to become the official mantra according to which every illness is primarily the fault of the patient? It’s not as if our wonderful doctors weren’t already blaming patients for their ailments, even unto the immortal words “at your age, what do you expect?”
I leave you with one other ‘news’ piece. It’s another straw in the wind, another item in the forthcoming list of ‘patients are to blame for the state of the NHS’. Under the headline “Britain’s obesity epidemic is crushing the NHS” we’re told in the DT that
“Obesity is usually self-inflicted and it harms other people. Its additional costs are shared among all taxpayers. It is essentially no different to tobacco smoking, recreational drug use and drink driving or speeding. […] In addition, quality of life before death will be impaired. That is in large part because obesity is associated with an increased incidence of all kinds of illnesses, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, some cancers and degenerative joint disease. Obesity in pregnancy poses risks to the mother and baby. It is also linked to infertility.”(paywalled link)
So will ‘fat shaming’ now be permitted? After all, it’s for a ‘good cause’, namely to ‘save the NHS’. There’s more – and it chimes in nicely with Lockdown Whitty’s ‘alarm’:
“About half of all deaths due to obesity, meanwhile, are caused by cardiovascular disease, meaning heart attacks or strokes. These deaths happen prematurely compared with people of healthy weight. […] Obesity is the greatest risk to the NHS in terms of cost and the overwhelming demand on resources.” (paywalled link)
See: fat people are a burden on the NHS, as are all who don’t take statins or don’t take whatever vaccine is ‘the latest thing’. Perhaps Big Pharma needs to develop ‘weight-loss’ pills or an anti-fat vaxx?
Here’s my look back at the year ending at midnight today and the outlook for the year starting at one second after midnight: everything is our, the plebs’ fault: obeying ‘teh health-rulz’, disobeying ‘teh health-rulz’: no difference. Only a fully medicated peasant is a good peasant, and only if they can prove it. We’re being nudged into a state run for the NHS and by the NHS. Inflation, the economy, war, whoever is the current PM: it’s becoming ever more irrelevant while the nudgers are at work.
I’ll close today with my non-medical advice: let’s enjoy the remaining hours of this year as best we can while we still can and are allowed to do so. Happy New Year – let’s hope our wishes make it so!
What the heck has Labour’s Chris Bryant and the Conservative Party’s Julien Lewis done to warrant a knighthood I ask. I mean its just bloody laughable. Are we really to presume as mentioned in various newspapers that they achieved their knighthoods in recognition of the fact that they made life difficult for Boris Johnson when he was prime minister. I mean the whole concept is utter cobblers, but what exactly have these two individuals done to warrant these awards because in my eyes at least it makes a total mockery of the whole honours system. They haven’t gone above and beyond in any sphere and haven’t held high office, served on the battlefield or saved anybody’s life. Do some MP’s when they are at university, think to themselves ‘what job can I do to climb the greasy pole by doing bugger all. I know I’ll become an MP’. I can’t think of any other reason why these two non entities have been given knighthoods. And as for Bryan May being given a knighthood for playing a guitar, well words fail me. However, look on the bright side it could have been worse, we could have woken up to be told that Boris Johnson had been given a knighthood, so one has to be grateful for small mercies I suppose. No doubt at some point that will come down the rails and rescue him from obscurity. Nice work if you can get it………
What a week, first a family member passing on Christmas Day and a delay in the funeral (his religion requires a quick burial, and there were no issues that would cause a delay. When a death certificate was eventually released from the hospital the funeral was arranged straight away and we spent a day travelling to attend it.
The intentional blindness to the real reasons why there are so many heart attacks, strokes and cancers is a classic case for prosecution. Hopefully there are some likeminded Solicitors/Barristers who will make sure these pieces of excrement will go down for a long time and bankrupt them as well. That is the only thing that gets me up in the morning.
Very sorry to hear about Frederica’s husband, I wish her the very best and look forward to any future articles she is able to write.
Lastly, HNY to everyone at Independence Daily, contributors and commenters, you are all stars, thank you.
I too am happy to quote Rhett Butler and any other appropriate words that come to mind. This madness has to be stopped!!!
HNY to you, Lisa – and my deepest sympathy for your loss, on Christmas Day of all days, aggravated by bureaucratic rules.
Let’s hope that somehow 2023 won’t turn out as horrible as 2022 has.
Lisa……….did Rhett Butler say that (this madness has to stop)? I remember him saying something like ‘quite frankly dear, I don’t give a damn’
They were my words Colin Hussey, tagged onto the end of the comment which may have been a misunderstanding. Or maybe just sarcasm!
Ref J Butties comment 2.27pm
I know my stupid machine will not print an answer directly under your cobut I wish you to know that I regard it as one of the most significant comments and heartening that the international “fight” against the Covid conspiracy is still alive.
To be honest, I had heard so little on that score lately, that I thought it had been summarily dismissed, as nothing to see here.
All I would ask is that you continue to print the desert review comment at least once a week, so that more of us don’t miss it or those with ancient brains don’t forget it.
I’m convinced only a small portion of the population has the faintest of ideas how Covid has been such a massive con and there exists even people trying to do something about it.
Does Nigel know the “real ” Tory, he certainly doesn’t feature it
Or does’ even he DARE in the face of being cancelled altogether
Sorry if this looks a bit odd, but unfortunately with my machine I cannot check it
HNY. Somewhere in a dark recess of his soul Whitty must know that history will not be kind to him.
Happy New Year, and thank you for your indefatigable seeking of the truth. I have finally worked out that I have to use a computer to reply or comment, my “smartphone” is unable to help me in that regard. Best wishes to you, as well as all the other commenters on the site.
Thanks, Simon – a Happy New Year to you as well.
Hopefully we can do something about the comments section next year … there are a few issues.
“Thousands of middle-aged people are dying of heart conditions because they did not get statins or blood pressure medicines during the pandemic.”
So what’s the excuse for children then?

And what’s the excuse for fit athletes then?
Below is Part 16, from April, of the on-going Young Hearts series.
n.b. The latest is Part 29!!! I can’t watch an episode through in one go; too upsetting.
I don’t think these folk were obese or had high blood-pressure or missed their meds.
769 athletes in a year; avg. age 23.

I genuinely wish you all well for the new year, and being awake you have a better chance than most (the most that sadly includes members of my own family) to come out the other side. But the narrative has been so well planned and so tightly controlled that, despite all the damning revelations that are pouring fourth and the scientific truths exposed and the real conspiracies uncovered, there is barely a ripple. So I find it impossible to be optimistic yet. It all rings hollow for me. Sorry to be a wet-blanket but I can only be honest.
We have our own piecemeal degradation with everything from the SNP, everything from Khan, many new totalitarian laws coming in the name of freedom, safety and health, Haywards Heath going vegan, Oxford and Canterbury to dictate where and when people may travel, re-wilding during a food shortage, but at least we are not yet Holland. There farming is being systematically destroyed, the government signed up to the EU’s Digital ID project despite it being rejected by their parliament and they just announced the end of petrol cars by 2025, just two years away.
The only potential light I can see is that in their zeal, TPTB are boiling the frog too fast and the frog will notice in time. But it is already beyond comfort in so many ways, and so far, not a twitch.
HNY, P.O’S! I think TPTB have indeed been boiling yon poor frog too quickly. There are signs that people are turning they back on ‘that kind of excrement’. One pointer I cam across was the total rejection of all those ‘new’ remake-series by the big streaming/Hollywood moguls in the year soon gone. If ‘pop culture is upstream of political culture’ then things might change more rapidly.
In any case, I’ve decided on a new motto for 2023 which I shall apply to the performances of the Westminster swamp critters. It’s the final sentence Rhett Butler says to Scarlet in GWTW as he walks out of the door …
HNY Viv and everyone. On a positive note this action has , as yet, not been dismissed by the ICC. Maybe something to look forward to in the NY.

A HNY to you and yours as well – and thanks for keeping you eyes on the crime that is covid.
That was over year ago, JB. And as you say, not a peep yet. As with every aspect of the pandemic, TPTB simply ignore submissions however eminent the petitioner or factually accurate the case. The MHRA, for example, 86% funded by Big Pharma, simply lies over and over, and their head honchos get gongs for doing so, instead of criminal charges. And it is not just pandemic/jab related; it’s every aspect of the globalist takeover.
Judges in the US did not allow claims of fraud in the 2020 elections, despite their demonstrable validity and mountainous evidence; they threw them out on fake procedural grounds preventing the evidence entering the official public domain thus allowing the corrupt MSM and politicians to say there was no case, and call protesters election deniers.
Recently in Arizona, the mid-term irregularities did get to court. Kari Lake’s team presented cast iron evidence that Arizona election law was broken in multiple ways; the main being no number count or chain of custody between the voting stations and the counting stations (so votes could be disappeared or added en route). No one knows how many were actually cast. And the on-site voting slips were printed at 19inch image on 20inch paper and that paper itself was not standard. Thus the voting machines that were working, rejected them. But fraudulent papers would go through and be counted. All utterly illegal again. Legally there was no need even to prove actual or deliberate fraud, just that ‘errors’ were made that COULD have allowed fraud, making it uncertifiable. But of course the judge threw it out, and even his stated reason was not lawful grounds. He probably values the lives of his family more than justice or being seen to be corrupt. And beyond that, how is it possible for Lake’s opponent to be in overall charge of the entire vote? Conflict of interest? How is it possible for her to threaten the officers who had to certify the vote? Corruption? Nothing to see here folks.
Phil, Big Pharma funds 86% of MHRA? Do you have concrete evidence that they actually DONATE funds?
I ask because ALL pharma manufacture – for everything from saline drips, replacement joints, devices, the contract testing services they use, as well as vaccines and medicines must have MHRA approval, work to a particular set of rules (religiously even when it is utterly superfluous for the item in question), known broadly as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP, or GXP to cover other aspects like clinical trials, distribution networks.) We get inspected for which they charge a fee!!!!
For big sites and operations, where a team is there for sometimes a week the charges are ‘not insignificant’. It’s over £3K an inspection minimum – only the smallest labs, like mine, get away with that. If they mainly self fund from these fees and that is where the 86% comes from, I, for one, do NOT consider that funding by big pharma – we have no choice.
FYI, I am no friend of the MHRA, we were royally stitched up the other year, for reasons unknown, perhaps my former connections with UKIP & Brexit, by an inspector who never even had the grace to communicate in person with us and our GMP consultant and various client auditors tell many a hairy story of the kind of inspector you don’t want to meet or dodgy (unwritten & unspoken) deals with ex inspectors setting up as remediation consultants to funnel customers their way. In MHRA’s defence, there are and have been good people too, I have been lucky enough to have had them as inspectors or listened to their presentations at meetings
Well Done Viv! As usual an excellent Betrayal. I agree with every word of it. Happy New Year to you and all.
Thanks, Pauline – and a Happy New Year to you and Pumpkin!
Viv. What has happened to Frederica? I miss her. Wasn’t she the Grumpy Old Woman?
Sadly, after a long illness, her husband died a couple of weeks ago. Such death leaves a huge hole in one’s life and it’s hard to come to terms with it.
Please allow me to add to that Jack
I seem to remember a similar phrase in bad Latin I think it was
millions illegitimate desperandum carborundum
Whatever, you’ve certainly ended on the right note Jack
May we continue to LIVE in interesting times
Does anyone expect Professor Witless to admit it is the Covid jabs have caused ‘heart disease’ and blood clots?
Happy new Year every body.
Ignore the nudge units – keep pure blooded and carry on your life as normal as you have only one try!
Well here are The Canadian Prepper’s predictions for 2023, entitled The End of Everything. Personally I think he’s underegged it.
Happy New Year to Viv and the team.
2023 must be the year of centre Right resistance!
https://nicholascreed.substack.com/p/the-great-resist-listen-to-my-originally
I am hopeful that even Jack, Roger and others will finally join the Young Turks by joining a centre Right challenger party in 2023. Sitting on the fence is not an option any longer as 2024 draws near.
Thanks, Jake – a Happy new Year to you as well.
And so, on this last day of this year, news of another prominent world leader gone: Pope Benedict has died today.
Here’s the news from the BBC.
A sad ending to this dismal year.
Happy new year Viv XXXX.
And to you, flyer!
Whitty’s deflection from the injections and the NPIs to the public – along with the gall to use it as a promotion for more drugs -shows just how appalling the man is.
Hello Les. I quite agree. Also, the NHS nowadays is basically nothing but a sales arm for the drugs industry.
Happy New Year too to Viv and all. A few words of advice: “Don’t let the bastards grind you down.”
OK Jack. I will not let them grind me down. The ‘bastards’ includes ‘The Climate Party’ !!
Jack Thomas
Don’t worry, they’ll never do that. Happy new Year to You all commenters in ID, Viv Debbie and the team
