Is he the only ‘war criminal’ or might there be others?

We know  about the ‘fog of war’, but there’s also something called ‘smoke bombs’ which were used on battlefields to hide movements from enemy eyes. It’s battlefield obfuscation and it’s something our western MSM are extremely good at. There are however a few indications that they’ve reached saturation point. Just like the covid scare graphs it seems people are no longer much interested.

There’s for example the ‘bombing of the theatre in Mariupol’ I referred to yesterday. Western media reporters repeated the wail of the mayor of that town, that over 1,000 people had been inside, children even – or were it perhaps 2,000? One would have expected that by now horrific photos and videos, of people digging through the rubble, of bodies everywhere, would have surfaced on ‘social’ media. One would have expected that our MSM, always so keen on ‘reporting’ twitter ‘news’, would have plastered them as ‘proof of Russian barbarism across their front pages. So why is there nothing? Wouldn’t this have been just perfect for doubling down on ‘hate Russia, hate Putin’?

Moreover, wouldn’t this have been the most suitable evidence to prove that Putin is ‘a war criminal’, as Biden said on Tuesday? The White House seemed to row back after Biden had labelled Putin a ‘war criminal’, saying that “no formal determination had been made on potential violations of international law since Russia’s Feb. 24 invasion of Ukraine.” (link). Mr Blinken, Biden’s Foreign Secretary, seems to double down on this statement, as Reuters reports:

“U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Thursday said he agrees with President Joe Biden that war crimes have been committed in Ukraine and U.S. experts were gathering evidence to prove it. […] “Personally, I agree,” Blinken said in a news conference at the State Department. “Intentionally targeting civilians is a war crime,” Blinken said, adding that he finds it “difficult to conclude that the Russians are doing otherwise” after the destruction over the past few weeks.” (link)

Where Blinken is right he’s right: intentionally targeting civilians is a war crime. Where he’s wrong he’s quite wrong when he quotes as ‘evidence’:

“[…] recent incidents of Russia bombing hospitals, schools and a theater where civilians were sheltering, and said they were part of “a long list of attacks on civilian, not military, locations across Ukraine.” (link)

These ‘incidents’ have already been debunked, that ‘hospital’ incident just as much as the Mariupol Theatre. This was shown as caused by the infamous Azov Battalion which had, according to independent ‘alt’ blogs, even sent out the civilians they’d kept there as hostages. There were no 1,000 civilian casualties.

I’ve mentioned several times that the USA is fully aware of what is going on in Ukraine. There’s also that commercial satellite company ‘MAXAR’ which produces images for use by the media. Reuters have published a compilation, a ‘slide show’, aimed at documenting the horrors of war, the destruction caused by Russian troops. You can look at it here and draw your own conclusions. I think it’s hard to find what I’d call ‘barbaric devastation’, but then, I grew up in bombed-out Berlin where 80% of the houses in the central parts had been destroyed. Interestingly, you’ll also not find images at all of the destroyed ‘International Legion’s headquarters’ and the weapons depot there. I do wonder why that is …

Back to war crimes and the accusation of Putin being a ‘war criminal’. If Biden and Blinken want to go down that route they better be aware that Ukraine and their favourite boi, Mr Z, has committed war crimes himself. Under his presidency, as well as under that of his predecessors, civilians in the separatist regions of Donbass have been shelled and bombed for eight years.

Just because this wasn’t reported in the west doesn’t mean it did happen. Else why would the Minsk protocols have been needed? One might also accuse the two western powers France and Germany which oversaw and guaranteed those protocols of war crimes by proxy by doing nothing to keep Ukraine in line. It would of course be a horrendously unjustified accusation that these nations regarded the people living in that region as of no account because they were ‘only’ ethnic Russians.

Back to the present, Russia reminded the west and Messrs Biden and Blinken about the war crimes committed by their pet, Mr Z. :

“The West is turning a blind eye to Ukraine’s atrocities against civilians in Donbass, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Thursday. “Once again we see sheer apathy from the West. They zealously ignored and remained silent over yet another atrocity by their Ukrainian subordinates. As if nothing had happened. As if there was no mass slaughter of civilians,” she stressed. Zakharova spotlighted the March 14 attack on Donetsk, when the Ukrainian military fired a Tochka-U rocket with cluster munition into the city center, killing more than 20 people and wounding 37 others. “This is a barbaric terrorist act,” she emphasized […]” (link)

The accusation of ‘war criminal’ means that Biden won’t have to speak with Putin, that the USA and western nations won’t have to negotiate any sort of treaty with Russia. I suspect this is also meant to incite Russians to get rid of Putin. This, a.k.a. ‘Regime Change’, is what one might call the ‘war aim’ of Biden’s administration.

Meanwhile, US politicians, not just ambassadors, are swarming out, trying to put as much pressure on states which support Russia by not adhering to those sanctions. India seems to be in their spotlights (link) but there’s also China. Today Mr Xi and Biden will have a talk – but  just before that, China sailed an aircraft carrier through the Taiwan straits (link). I’m not an international diplomat or media correspondent but I’d say that this was a hint to Biden, that Mr Xi ain’t going to be bullied.

I leave you with a hint that there might be a split between the Biden ‘warriors’ in the White House who seem to try to fuel demands for a possible NATO intervention, and the Pentagon. The western MSM were full of Mr Z.’s video speeches to the various western parliaments where he pleaded for a ‘no fly’ zone over Ukraine. The brainwashed public in the USA, UK and the EU countries believe this would be totally justified, and never mind that NATO aircraft would get into direct conflict with Russia which is maintaining the current, military no fly zone. So now see this:

“Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said a no-fly zone over Ukraine remains off the table, explaining that the move would mean direct confrontation between US and Russian fighter jets and likely a hot war with Moscow. Asked about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s repeated calls on Western powers to take control of his country’s airspace to repel a Russian attack, Austin said the Joe Biden administration would not grant the request, citing the risk of escalation: “Enforcing a no-fly zone actually means that you’re in combat, you’re in a fight with Russia. And that’s one of the things that we have said, that our president has said, that we weren’t going to do,” the defense secretary said.” (link)

Let’s hope that the professionals, the military in the Pentagon and elsewhere keep their cool heads. As for ‘our lot’ – seeing this headline in today’s DM makes me wonder if the hapless PM and his defence secretary are hankering for some ‘glory role’ in this war. Never mind that we don’t have the money, never mind that our armed forces are woefully under-equipped.

Isn’t it time that the ruling Westminster mob, including the ‘loyal opposition’, stop believing the propaganda dross they themselves pump out and start thinking about the economic problems rolling downhill like an avalanche? I wonder if ration books or rather: ‘ration apps’ have already been prepared for us peasants.

After all, ‘there’s a war on’ – a handy excuse behind which to hide  everything …
