Unseen footage of some of Johnson’s ministers …
It looks as if the rats are leaving the sinking Johnson ship. The headlines this morning are about ‘four key advisers’ having resigned (link paywalled, paywalled link, link). There’s also an editorial in The Times where John Forsyth remarks that Tories are being ‘fearful’ about what Johnson may say next, about ‘another Jimmy Savile moment’ and if that might force his resignation (link, paywalled).
Johnson accusing Starmer of being responsible for the Savile cover-up when he was Director of the Crown Prosecution Service was the trigger for one of his most trusted advisers, Ms Mirza, to quit. The decision not to prosecute Savile was indeed taken under Starmer’s CPS leadership (link), but so were the decisions not to delve into the grooming gang crimes but uphold the ‘community cohesion’ principle. Mustn’t we not mention this either?
The most important question regarding these resignations as well as Tory apprehensions about a Johnson resignation because four of his advisers have now resigned is of course not being asked: has it now come to this, that a PM cannot govern unless he’s propped up by a horde of SpAds? It would seem so, given this piece of well-placed gossip in The Times:
“Cabinet ministers believe there is a “50/50” chance that Boris Johnson will be forced out of office after four of his most senior aides quit Downing Street and his chancellor publicly rebuked him.” (link, paywalled)
Unsurprisingly these ‘ministers’ – two actually, according to The Times – remain anonymous even now. For a piece of blatant gossip wrapped in ponderous, doom-laden language this really cannot be bettered
“Last night two cabinet ministers questioned whether Johnson could survive. “It feels like the end, it’s all falling apart,” one said. “It’s 50/50 in my view at the moment.” Another added that it was “difficult to tell” whether the prime minister could stay on.” (link, paywalled)
Gah – we could have come up with that comment ourselves! Meanwhile, the wannabe successors are jockeying for pole position. Two days ago Gove had his place in the sun with that ‘Levelling Up’ White Paper. Today it’s the turn of Mr Jabbit who will ‘set out his vision’ by announcing a Ten-Year plan for the UK, a new ‘war on cancer’, as he’ll pledge (how I loathe this expression beloved by politicians!):
“[…] to invest in potential new treatments including coronavirus-style vaccines. Artificial intelligence will also be used to diagnose the disease as part of a ten-year plan that will clear the Covid backlog and go further still, Sajid Javid is to say today in a speech at the Francis Crick Institute in London. He will pledge to make the country’s cancer care system the best in Europe.” (link, paywalled)
And ‘Our Sacred Cow’ is of course the best in the world, innit! The brazenness of that ‘pledge’ is breathtaking. Not only has cancer care become utterly dysfunctional thanks to lockdown and all the other covid ‘measures’, with 50,000 fewer cases diagnosed, never mind treated (link), studies about the long-term effects of yon mRNA covid vaccines on our health are being swept under the carpet. That also means studies already reporting outbreaks of cancer in jabbed, formerly healthy people, for example in the US Armed Forces. No worries – what could go wrong when
“Scientists who pioneered the jabs to protect people against Covid are examining whether similar methods can be used to train the immune system to recognise and attack cancer cells, preventing regrowth.” (paywalled link)
Yay – let’s all ‘train’ our immune systems by getting jabs for everything! One thing which is already going wrong is that the latest ‘vaccine’ to be made available, ‘Novavax’, will now be imported from India and not manufactured here, as promised (link, paywalled). Ah well, that’s how it goes when politicians’ ‘pledge’.
The next one up for his spot in that ‘succession race’ is of course Sunak. Brits, we’re told, are facing the biggest drop in living standards thanks to exploding energy costs and inflation. In their report on those shenanigans in No 10 the DM is the most blood-thirsty (see their headline here), even unto writing that Sunak has joined that ‘omigad he mentioned Starmer and Savile’ bandwagon.
The Times reports on Sunak’s ‘package’ of £9b loans and council tax ‘rebates’, faithfully delivering Sunak’s remark that Brits would have to ‘adjust’ to those higher prices (link, paywalled). What else are we supposed to do? Stop paying our taxes? The DT reporters had their ears to the ground and came up with this headline:
“Rishi Sunak repeatedly refuses to rule out standing for PM if Boris Johnson goes -The Chancellor refused three times to be drawn on whether he was up for competing in a leadership competition, calling it ‘hypothetical’.” (paywalled link)
Of course he would refuse answering such questions! Why waste time on asking those rather than on his refusal to prosecute all those wasted billions on fraud and incompetence during the covid years? Ah well, it’s only our money and “we” peasants can always hand over more of it.
It’s a nice deflection produced by the Westminster hacks who are now retreating as quickly as they can from all their previous covid fear porn. The DT’s columnist Fraser Nelson suddenly finds it possible to refer to a study by Johns Hopkins saying that:
“[…] overall, lockdowns reduced Covid mortality by just 0.2 per cent. “Lockdown policies are ill-founded,” it concluded, “and should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument.” (paywalled link)
Now that there’s an ‘official’ report he dares to question lockdown! The many articles by lockdown sceptics, some being most eminent scientists, were not worthy of a look-in by the Nelsons and other fear-porn Westminster hacks. These are the same sycophants who ‘celebrate’ Jabbit’s ‘war on cancer’ thanks to vaccines’!
These are the same Westminster sycophants who only mention in passing that the RN won’t send migrants back to France, that they won’t enforce Ms Patel’s policy (link). ‘Woke Humanitarianism’ beats patriotism hands-down. What would they do if Putin’s Navy lands some ‘illegal immigrants’ on our shores? Hide? Cry?
I leave you with two news items. One is that the Tories ‘won’ the Southend West seat in yesterday’s by-election. That election was necessary because the incumbent was murdered late last year. LibLabGreen didn’t contest that by-election. The turn-out was a staggering 24% (link). For a breakdown of names, parties and votes won, go here. It’s … interesting.
The other news which I personally deplore is that Brian Moore has been axed by the BBC. His last performance will be tomorrow, commenting on the Calcutta Cup, the match between Scotland and England. The DT reports that this is a BBC cost-cutting exercise, needed after they lost broadcasting most of the Six Nations matches to ITV (paywalled link). All is not lost, he’ll apparently be permitted to report on women’s rugby …
Never mind – who needs rugby when the Winter Olympics open today, in China, on artificial snow. Putin and Xi will meet, presumably talking about the decline of NATO and the West. ‘Tis only fair since the West’s ‘leaders’ are shunning these games, clearly preferring to war-monger amongst themselves. Happy days, innit like …
Yesterday’s bye-election. Ta for the link Viv.
I see J S Pilley – who came second, upped his votes by 50 pct despite the abysmal turnout.
And rather a lot of spoiled papers. Wonder what they said? I for one would like to know.
(Probably censored as hate speech and similar!)
I wonder if Bean Head Jabbit will now cancel the war on THE CURE FOR CANCER and fully support the campaign to get David Noakes released from prison by lobbying the Foreign Secretary.
He could start using GcMAFF in earnest as a treatment for cancer?
Got to https://www.ukcolumn.org/index.php/article/gcmaf-and-persecution-david-noakes-lyn-thyer-immuno-biotech for background.
In brief MHRA allows big Pharma to distribute experimental and dangerous drugs but hounds through the courts a small fry company (in relative terms) with a useful product to ensure incarceration and removal of useful treatment from the plebs.
The UK column review of the recent live broadcast of the MHRA board meeting should also be watched. This was broadcast on Wednesday 2nd Feb 2022.
Bs- Bean head eh? Don’t post things like that. The Resident Stalker will take the surnomme into his vocab and his windy condemnations will be absolutely coated with it.
Biscotte…….. hahahahaha, you’re a hoot, if nothing else. You’re 100% entertainment value, and much funnier than the so called comedy shows on the BBC. Why don’t you apply for a job there as a script writer.
Anyway getting back to serious stuff, I was amazed that the Conservatives hung onto Southend West at the parliamentary by election yesterday considering that the very nice man with the blond hair is doing so badly with cock ups here there and everywhere. Yes, the turnout was less than 24%, but the Conservative Party still managed to achieve 86.10% vote share with 12,792 votes. I only read in the past week that UKIP was projected to win about 30% share of the vote and that the Conservatives would get somewhere near to 40% vote share, so what happened? The results are truly depressing in every sense of the word. Things could be worse though, Anna Firth was prior to the by election a sitting Conservative councilor in Sevenoaks, so one town away from where I live, and I did in fact meet her on one occasion and was fairly impressed with what I saw, so I think she might in fact turn out to be rather a good MP.
The other parties did not fair so well. The Psychedelic Movement got 512 votes and 3.45% vote share, and UKIP got 400 votes and 2.15% vote share, English Democrats got 320 votes and 2.15% vote share, and Independent got 299 votes and 2.01% vote share, the Heritage Party got 236 votes and 1.59% vote share, and Freedom Alliance got 161 votes and 1.08% vote share, whilst English Constitution Party got 86 votes and 0.58% vote share, and a second Independent got 52 votes and 0.35% vote share
It is utterly amazing that anybody would vote for the Psychedelic Movement which seems to support a hippy way of life, and which came second in the poll, but I would have expected both UKIP and the Heritage Party to have registered more votes than they got, especially since none of the other mainstream parties stood a candidate at all. Up until a week ago I was in a quandary as to which political party to rejoin as a member. Should it be UKIP or should it be the Heritage Party, but now I feel that neither of those parties are going anywhere and will continue to attract less than 5% vote share in future by elections, and will never attract sufficient numbers of activists to support a worthwhile election campaign, let alone a decent candidate. If ever there was a time for Nigel Farage to start a new right of centre party which we could all get behind, that time would be right now, as we are not best served with what is on offer at the moment….
The only conclusion is that voters are either dyed-in-the-wool tribal or simply thick.
Thank you Colin for those details. Depressing isn’t it. I have rejoined Ukip but also have much admiration for Heritage.
It is also depressing that people have simply not voted, when they could have marked the paper N.O.T.A. – none of the above.
On the other hand perhaps the ‘spoiled’ votes are saying the same thing.
I’ve a funny feeling that Southend has always been a somewhat strange place, and of course the last M.P. being murdered may have made the people there even stranger!
Steve Bannon interviews Edward Dowd, former executive of Blackrock about his view of the current financial situation.
https://rumble.com/vu0vkr-edward-dowd-interview-portion-on-steve-bannons-war-room-ep-1602.html
Dowd says the global debt bubble is at its peak. We are at the end and the world economic system as we know it is about to crash with covid being cited as the scapegoat. ‘A lot of what you’re seeing in the response of global governments is what I believe is setting up a system to, under the guise of medical tyranny, prevent the riots that are going to ensue once this thing all unwinds – that’s my personal belief’, says Dowd.
Will BoJo go or will he not? I would suggest that his going will not be his decision but that of his globalist masters. Maybe they have a replacement PM-in-waiting to continue their plans for us.
JT at 12.15 – I keep an eye on the betting, so others don’t have to . . .
At the beginning of the week our PM was around 1/3 to be gone this year.
Today it is around 2/3.
Put another way he is less likely to be gone this year.
Jack Thomas, well according to Gove this evening when interviewed for BBC news, he said that the prime minister wanted change at Downing Street and that the senior civil servants who resigned yesterday was part of that change, and the government would be concentrating upon levelling up and working for the people of Sunderland and the North East blah blah blah. I mean you couldn’t make it up. The prime minister wants change and to effectively blame everybody else except himself for recent shortcomings. It seems everybody bar the kitchen sink is being shafted, whilst the person at the very top gets away with it scot free. I have to be careful now that I don’t upset Biscotte, but we are run by muppets…
“1/2 ANR Chief Editor, bets $1 million, that anyone that’s taken 2 doses of the quackzinne, 50% will sadly be dead or sick within 5 years and almost 100% in 10 years.”

So, the age of all death of the population is 80 yrs say.
Then by the age of 40 yrs, half will be dead.
I dont think it works like that.
Maybe the fellow needs to look at one sigma, two sigma and on.
I’m in for pound that he is wrong on the pctage dead and the timescale.
BTW the msm has a lot to answer for. This sort of trufebook comment is tantamount to a mirror of the lies put out by the msm.
Sad but quite possibly true given recent revelations about the ingredients.

Interesting yet so many scream “conspiracy theory” when such things are mentioned.
I am sure it’s a bit frustrating and trying to balance economies of scale too Viv. Attempting to make it work disabled the “push” and the icon telling me to reinstate doesn’t work. I looked at the information from Stout but will try the laptop later to see if that sorts it out. It isn’t a problem for me as I now start the day with ID anyway. Hope it doesn’t put people off.
I access the site everyday hoping Viv has posted an article. If she hasn’t there are a bucket load of unread articles to catch up on. Plod on Viv, you probably don’t realise how much you are appreciated.
Is it time to hit the streets with a new movement?
GAS BILLS MATTER?
PS. Southend “The turn-out was a staggering 24% ” It certainly was. Roughly 28,000 voters did not bother compared to 2019. Approx 12,000 votes in an electorate of 66,000? logically, around 54,000 people saw no point whatsoever in voting at all. So much for representative democracy.
Whey hey – it’s Friday, time to get my wooden spoon out.
Lockdowns only prevented 0.2% of deaths – sez who? Surely the feed in factors are at least as complex as genuine climate data and we all know how accurate and unbiased those ‘modellers’ are. Now – don’t hit the troll button until you’ve got to the bottom.
Fact 1. A virus is an obligate parasite. If you cut off access to more hosts then it will die out.
Fact 2. Quarantine and isolation of those who may be carrying infectious disease has been used for centuries. It works if used properly but then, as Nigel kept pointing out when he still had a slot on LBC, our Gvt locked us down and let the planes keep coming in.
Take home message – if measures, any measures, which in theory would include lockdowns, separate a virus from new hosts then it will reduce infections and therefore deaths too.
It was noted in the report that people voluntarily changed their behaviour – they sure did, me and mine stopped going to pubs, restaurants etc in Feb 2020 & ignored the ‘masks not needed’ crap and went straight to N95 or higher from March. Maybe some of you will remember the pleas for help from proprietors whose footfall had plummeted but could get no help from insurers or banks at that stage.
Then there were all those who had no choice but to put themselves at risk, before or after March 23 2020. I was poised to bring in 2 shifts at my business, partnering up those with, or living with someone with high risk factors in one and those who had kids at school/ commuting partners in the other. The 1st lockdown spared me that. And the 3 weeks to ‘squash the sombrero’? Well, I waited and calculated, based on what we microbiologists knew – why were so many new infections happening? If lockdown worked they would indeed have dropped right off in 3 weeks! Why not? Because there was still so much infection spreading out from hospitals! Then when rates really were tailed off – remember those outbreaks in food processing factories and disgusting Leicester sweat shops?
As for the next 2 lockdowns which weren’t lockdowns? All the November ‘circuit breaker’ did was penalise hospitality, schools were still open for example so hardly a lockdown. Why didn’t lockdown work? By all means look at the mechanics and claim because they were not true lockdowns – on second thoughts don’t, we don’t want them to get even more draconian; ask instead why lockdowns were the only solution to separating the virus from new hosts that SAGE ever peddled. (Well that will keep you busy in the WEF/NWO dept!)
Then ask how many deaths – and disability, please DO NOT forget survivors with damaged lungs or hearts or with ‘long covid’, could have been prevented if measures to control airborne transmission, especially in hospitals and schools, had been introduced in 2020. University of Florida proved it in summer 2020. BTW Mrs Krankie, I don’t think shaving the bottom off firedoors is quite the ticket here! And THEN ask why not THAT instead of lockdown!
HW – Still trying to translate your post.
– So lockdowns enforced by stormtroopers, like those in the Antipodes worked?
– the Troll button is alongside the Red button
– ‘went straight to N95 or higher from …’ What’s that N95 about? French motorway / autoroute?
– ‘busy in the WEF/NWO dept!’ and that is? (I don’t have a TV if that helps).
– ‘long covid’ if you got this flu, you got it. Fat covid, Peruvian Mountain Goat covid, thin covid, underwater Lung Fish covid, shake it all about covid, Mongolian Yak covid . . . – all known as flu? How your body reacts is something different.
– don’t get the firedoors thing. Aren’t you meant to seal with wet towels to keep the smoke out?
Sorry Biscotte, you didn’t get it hun. Also apols for this getting posted in wrong place due to being out of practice.
No, I didn’t say lockdowns ‘worked’, I did say that parting the virus from new hosts works and therefore preventing the infected/possibly infected from contact with the uninfected will achieve that objective (think Eyam during the plague) Of the possible ways of doing that, I, like most, think ‘lockdown’ must be a last resort. Frankly if you use it you’ve failed. (no one on this forum needs lessons on the economic effect etc)
N95, also known here as FFP2 is a mask grade. You want FFP2 or FFP3, bits of cloth are pointless.
WEF – world economic forum. NWO – new world order. There are those who think there is a reason why nearly everyone has applied the lockdown ‘solution’ when science offers better options and that reason ain’t pretty.
Covid isn’t flu! Although some people do have post viral fatigue after flu.
Mrs K claimed that the Scottish Parliament was providing dosh for schools to chop the bottom off classroom doors as a means of ventilating the rooms to prevent airborne spread. Some doors will be mandatory fire doors – a big gap twixt door and floor will defeat their purpose in the event of a fire. Stupid woman needs to consult with suitably qualified engineers on how to bring in this essential risk mitigation.
My thesis, against claims lockdowns only prevented 0.2% of the deaths, was that the effect of the failure to treat covid as airborne needed investigating.
Helena Windsor. As a virologist, of course you have strong opinions on the subject of the Covid19 virus. Naturally you wish to support all the measures that were taken to protect us from it.However –
1) We were told early on, that 80% of Common Cold infections are caused by a COVID virus.
2) Recently we were told that early vaccine research was actually done on other covid viruses, not on the dreaded Wuflu variant.
3) We have known throughout that there was little or no danger to healthy children. Or for that matter healthy young adults. Yet there has been pressure on children and their parents, for them to be vaccinated.
4) Evidence continues to grow that vaccines are causing potentially fatal side effects. Especially in the young.
Sorry to disappoint you but I still prefer the idea that from the start, we should have allowed it to become endemic.
And incidentally, being 77 years old with C.O.P.D. and with me having ignored all the fear mongering pressures – I’d say either I’ve made my point, or somehow I’m posting this from an afterlife !!
Pauline – I only support measures which would actually protect people, such as cleaning up potentially contaminated air (which is non specific, also removes a lot of other airborne health hazards). Much of what our Gvt and others have prescribed is pointless/cock up.
1. SARS-CoV-2 (Covid) does NOT cause 80% of common colds, I doubt if the 4 cold coronaviruses cause that high a % either, more likely to be rhinoviruses but of course we don’t know as there are no diagnostic tests to take when we have a cold.
2. Don’t know about mRNA vaccines – BioNTech was set up to use mRNA for cancer treatments- but the Oxford team had indeed begun work on SARS and dropped it as it died out, then prepared trial material for MERS. As a lot of the early safety data was under their belt due to that, they could move quickly with the new vaccine format for Covid
3. Rubella is no danger to children or adults. It is however a problem for the unborn child at a certain stage in pregnancy, hence the vaccine.
4. I await reliable data but… I am relieved that MHRA have AT LAST given the green light to Novavax. Not sure if that includes under 18s but if it’s safe for them it should as this vax uses methods already used in a number of other vaccines. Given the myocarditits, which HAS occurred in some young men, this product may be preferable.
BTW – endemic does not equal benign. There were a number of very nasty, mainly childhood diseases which were ‘endemic’ until we got effective vaccines.
Southend West. Thanks for for link interesting to see council election results as well as by-election. Not much appetite for centre Right challenger parties
It doesn’t seem so Jake. Sure many Conservatives, Labour, Lib Dems and Greens may have stayed away on the “it’s a done deal” principle but there was a fourfold increase in the rejected ballot papers to 1086 compared to 2019 making them the unofficial second place. Express dis-satisfaction if they must but were none of the others say UKIP, English Democrats, English Constitution, Heritage etc worth a punt?
Is it not time that people stopped obsessing with what they don’t like and started voting for what they do even if their choice turns out not to be perfect, it is politics after all?
It’s perhaps telling that the official second place was the Psychedelic Movement, quite possibly because they did not have the Raving Loony Party to split their vote.
And for me, well done Jayda Fransen.
Jim R I really did think that the centre Right parties would have made a little headway but that was not to be. Of late, when people grumble to me about food inflation, mass migration, covid hysteria, can’t see a doctor, energy bills etc I simply state that I have much sympathy for those who vote for centre Right challenger parties and independents but none whatsoever for those voting for establishment parties. Some look puzzled, some look hurt, some change the subject and the odd one walks away in huff without saying a word.
And yes, well done Jayda Fransen and those who voted for her and the centre Right parties.
No push notification this morning. If there is a break in daily articles, without notifications when an article is posted again, then readers may lose the habit of checking the site. Just sayin’. What does the site’s IT guy say?
I didn’t have on either – and btw, there’s no IT guy, just someone helping me out of kindness. Since this push notification is nothing to do with his hosting the site, I can’t as.
I’ll have a look at the push-notification site, they must have a trouble-shooting section.
If it doesn’t work properly and since many readers have had difficulties to get it working on their browsers, I do wonder if it’s worth it. Emailed newsletters are certainly more work – and getting a proper, trustworthy webmaster (where from?) – and more trouble for me.
