Fighting State Propaganda

I don’t know what they smoke, drink or eat in those parts of Westminster which try to form our opinion or at the very least nudge us into doing what commonsense tells us is daft. That same lot which is trying to eradicate hate, at least in those parts of the public sphere which we plebs inhabit, is clinging to the hate they have instituted as if there’s no tomorrow. I’m talking about our fine MSM and those who utilise them to make themselves look bigger than they are.

The collection of this morning’s printed front pages, compiled in the usual place (link) shows that the Westminster editors are suddenly very concerned about inflation. Someone in Whitehall must have forbidden using the word ‘inflation’ so that we dumb plebs don’t get scared. ‘Cost-of-living’ sounds much more posh, doesn’t it.

The reason for their sudden concern is transparent: Rishi is rich, very rich, according to the ‘Sunday Times Rich List’ – so all our current and coming misery is his fault. Tax him and tax all the other rich bastards into oblivion, innit, and let’s also windfall-tax the rich energy conglomerates. Have you noticed that nobody in the MSM and Westminster demands to impose windfall taxes on Big Pharma? I wonder why that is …

Speaking of Big Pharma, a new health scare, a new ‘pandemic’ is brewing: monkeypox! Funny, isn’t it, how this latest ‘omigawd we’re all gonna die’ thing is being made into the “next big thing’ just as the WHO is installing itself as the proper world government. Also odd that this monkeypox ‘issue’ is suddenly a ‘global threat’ just at the time when Russia has presented ample documentation about biolabs and bioweapon research in the Ukraine – research which implements the Pentagon.

And isn’t it surpassingly strange that our MSM coyly look away from the news that the last of those neo-naughty ‘heroes’, hiding away in Azovstal, have now surrendered. That’s not really news, is it. Instead we have La Truss proposing that “we” give weapons to Moldova, that tiny little country bordering the Ukraine, so that Putin won’t dare to invade (paywalled link). We also have the PM trying to twist Mr Erdogan’s arms so he’ll agree to Sweden and Finland joining NATO (link, paywalled). I wonder what Johnson is going to give away to Turkey on ‘our’ behalf – membership in the EU, perhaps?

What is it with our government figures and the mandarins who write their speeches? How tone-deaf must they be to sabre-rattle with intent when the economy is crashing round their and our ears? Have they now found a ‘arms production tree’, next to the Treasury ‘money tree’? Our MSM are even worse, if that’s possible. I’ll show you how tone-deaf they are – see this headline in the DT:

“‘It warms my heart to see Russian tanks blown up – it means our NLAW was a success’ – Vital to the Ukrainian army’s resistance, the missile is a symbol of European collaboration – with notable British involvement” (paywalled link)

I felt utterly sickened by this headline so I didn’t read the whole thing. The DT writers and their Whitehall propaganda masters have lost any claim to the humanity they profess they possess. They don’t even notice that they are speaking and behaving in a way they keep telling us only ‘barbarian Russians’ behave.

As for those claims of ‘success’ thanks to ‘our’ weaponry – well, anyone of us who has been looking at reports in alt media, at the videos mapping the state of fight in the Donbas, or at the daily statements of the Russian Ministry of Defence would beg to differ.

Our Whitehall masters and their mouthpieces, a.k.a. MSM, clearly believe that we peasants are too stupid to have found ways of finding information ourselves. It’s coming to something when we have to look at video channels produced by people in East Asia to find neutral reports. All their reports about Ukrainian front troops surrendering not just in Mariupol but along the front lines of the Donbas: it’s not on the BBC so it hasn’t happened.

There’s a nice photo of the last of those ‘heroes’ moving off in the relevant report in RT. It was raining and they look suitably miserable. Their ‘commander’ had to be transported off in an armoured personal carrier because the people of Mariupol were ready to get their hands on him. Here’s the link if you can access RT, and here’s the latest opinion piece by Larry Johnsion on his blog – a piece one would have hoped to find on our MSM opinion pages, in former, better times.

The fact that the Pentagon is desperately trying to get Gen Shoigu to agree to a ceasefire, having two of their head honchos calling him – no, that’s not talked about here in Truss & Wallace Land where the sables rattle proudly. I wonder what our squaddies would have to say if they were allowed to speak, about how “we” waste our armaments and money rather than look after our own, at least those in the Armed Forces.

You might like to read this article by Pepe Escobar, on the actual meaning of those desperate phone calls by the US Top Brass, on the meaning of ‘hybrid war’ and on what night come next. Here in Blighty we read instead in the DT that:

Vladimir Putin is goading the West into joining the war by creating global food meltdown – Western leaders face the challenge of resolving blockaded exports and the prospect of famine without instigating direct conflict with Russia” (paywalled link)

When I saw who wrote it – Con Coughlin, since you ask – I didn’t venture further into that concoction. Meanwhile, the President of the Ukraine Ellen Sky (h/t someone on the internet) is publicly hand-wringing, speaking soothing words to his remaining people while asking for ‘moar money’ which the EU is already happily shelling out.

I leave you with the best quip found on the interwebz this week: “I laughed my Azov”. Let’s keep laughing. It’s better than hating, especially since our nudge specialists demand that we hate those they deem hateworthy while banning all other ‘hate’. Yep, I’m also laughing my Azov!
