The first one out of the leadership contest starting blocks
Well, there we have it: BJ is ‘gone’ and it’s onto the next item in the bloodsport the MSM are engaging in, on the ‘runners and riders’ of the Tory leadership campaign. How glad all those Westminster news editors and opinion makers must be that they can fill their pages with ‘a serious narrative’ during this silly summer season! The political editors aren’t yet quite certain whom to crown, whom to support – after all, one of those ‘candidates’ might become the next PM and where would they be if he or she fixes the leaks, the gossip from ‘sources’! Here’s the link to the customary overview of those dead-tree front pages.
For the record, this is a document demonstrating that the Westminster MSM have gleefully taken on a role as players in this political theatre. They have “a narrative” to sell and are doing it ruthlessly – remember Dominic Cummings? It’s no longer about political issues like Brexit or Remain. It’s about regime change plain and simple. It’s about giving those who really run the country another chance of pulling the strings while remaining faceless and unaccountable: our wonderful mandarins and our eminent NGOs.
Remember the Lockdown~ and Covid~years? Remember the relentless campaign for tests, masks, vaccines? Remember the merciless suppression of any opinion, of any facts which opposed that “narrative”? Remember that the government paid the MSM to act as their propaganda outlet? Remember how Partygate was ‘the next big thing’? Funny how this has now sunk below the waves. Even the news that Starmer and Rayner were ‘cleared’ of their lockdown ‘beergate’ wasn’t worth more than the odd report here and there …
We noticed, just as we noticed that the ‘next big thing’ was that war in the Ukraine, plastered across our MSM, filling the TV screens ever since February. Funny how yon war provided the wonderful opportunity for certain ministers to grab the limelight from the PM and waft around the international stages. Taxes? Inflation? Not an issue, even though those of us who can remember as far back as last summer recall the huge spike in gas prices, the scandal of national gas storage being practically non-existent, the autumn budget with some pennies given to ‘the poorest’ households to help with the ever rising home fuel bills.
That, as well as inflation, was ‘before the war’. It’s surely strange how we are being kept in blissful ignorance about the energy crisis which has the Continent in its grip, with Germany’s industries already closing down, with German ministers telling their people to keep their home cold, not to have so many warm showers. Then there are the farmer’s protests in the Netherlands where police is even using live ammunition. Those protests are due to Dutch green policies’, to ‘reduce nitrogen in farming’ by 50%. This will and is driving farmers out of business, but since it’s a ‘green policy’ those farmers are of course the baddies.
So where are the reports in our MSM about our green policies, about our fuel crisis? Unimportant, aren’t they, when the MSM, like a pack of bloodthirsty hyenas, is in hot pursuit of the next prey which they can feed on. Green crap isn’t mentioned any longer, not even in a hair-raising article in the DT on the ‘coming heatwave’. There are nice graphs about earlier ‘heatwaves’, there are weather maps showing that this heatwave seems to occur in London exclusively – but not one word is to be found about ‘climate emergency’, about ‘climate change’.
It’s another scare story giving ‘guidance’, such as not allowing kids to play outside when temperatures go over 30ºC, with a truly patronising final ‘advice’: “Check on grandma and whether she has had her six glasses of water that day, […] That could be a phone call that saves a life.” (paywalled link). Words fail me! Wouldn’t it have been nice if the busy reporters had quizzed their ‘sources’ about this guidance? Or have their ‘sources’ dried up because of Johnson’s resignation and the ensuing Tory Party leadership circus?
Here’s another item which has at least made the front page of The Times’ online edition. It is outrageous and surely ought to have elicited a reply from the then education Minister, Mr Zahawi. Apparently, he cannot possibly be asked now because he’s become Chancellor of the EXchequer and is a leadership candidate. We’re informed that ‘sex education’ in schools has been outsourced to obscure groups, one of them teaching school kids:
“[…] that prostitution is a “rewarding job” and failed to advise a 14-year-old girl having sex with a 16-year-old boy that it was illegal. Outside organisations teaching children about sex also promote “kinks” such as being locked in a cage, flogged, caned, beaten and slapped in the face, The Times has found. One organisation encouraged pupils to demonstrate where they like to touch themselves sexually, in a practise criticised as “sex abuse” by campaigners.” (link, paywalled)
The report quotes campaigners standing up against this ‘education’ – but not one word is to be found about the education ministers responsible for this ‘outsourcing’. It looks like just another case where the actual minister is nought but a hand puppet for the mandarins. Why should the Department of Education be any different from the DHSC which gave us mask and vaccine ‘mandates’, the MoD which hands out weapons as if they’re confetti even though our own armament shelves are bare, or the Home Office whose Minister has been talking tough but has achieved nothing which even remotely stems the flood of illegal immigrants?
Of course, now that the erstwhile Chancellor Mr Sunak is running for leadership and thus PM, we only hear about his plans and that he’s produced “a slick three-minute video with the tag-line “Ready for Rishi” (link, paywalled). More than two million viewers have already ‘consumed’ this according to The Times which reports further:
“Rishi Sunak warned Conservatives not to believe “fairytale” promises of higher spending and lower taxes from his rivals as he became the first heavyweight contender to launch his leadership campaign.” The former chancellor promised “honesty, seriousness and determination” in a social media launch in which he contrasted himself with Boris Johnson, saying: “Someone has to grip this moment and make the right decisions.” (link, paywalled)
It would have been so uncouth to write about the results of his policies which have blessed us with this inflation! It would have been even worse to wonder out loud if ‘Ready Rishi’ had worked hard on producing this slick video while still Chancellor…. More generally, we can now confidently predict that this ‘leadership campaign’ will take place in the social media, fought with ‘slick videos’. We can predict that the MSM will gleefully report on ‘gaffes’ and that their political and opinion ‘editors’ will focus on ‘likes’ given in those social media accounts.
It’s obvious to me that there won’t be any policies which can be debated. There won’t be any issues the candidates will be asked about. There will only be slogans created by PR managers, using empty words which look and sound ‘nice’. This isn’t about Brexit and Remain. It’s about which candidate is the easiest puppet for the true rulers to manipulate. For us peasants it’ll provide proof of the pernicious change in how this country is being governed.
Politicians, regardless of their rosette colour, are only prey to the bloodthirsty hyaenas that are the MSM mill. Meanwhile the true rulers, the unelected, unaccountable mandarins, govern unhindered. It doesn’t matter any longer who sits in No 10. They don’t have power. Power now rests in Whitehall and with certain NGOs who are ‘framing the narrative’ to keep us peasants entertained while pushing on with their green, ‘reset’ agenda.
Have a nice weekend and enjoy that heatwave so it occurs in your neck of the woods. Don’t play outdoors and remember to phone granny …
It turns out that Rishi has been working on his narccisic video for the last year. Seems like getting rid of Boris was a sneaky plot with quite a few involved.
Just a one voice in the wilderness. The best way to cut inflation is to cut taxes. The best way to make a sector or an industry expand and prosper is by making the productive more competitively priced. Also simple. Cutting taxes. …A well known economic fact. {{–
CUTTING TAXES INCREASES TAX TAKE…but only if done carefully.., with understanding., thus , causing rising employment and wages thus increasing more more tax take.
SIMPLE.
SO Cutting taxes can and should with understanding, RAISE TAX TAKE> = EASE INFLATION, SHUT LITTLE LEFTIES MOUTHS.
On the plus side, breaking news is that Gromit’s mate has announced he will not stand for leadership.
To quote MT “Rejoice in that”.
A sad day when the Prime Minister was forced out of office. When Boris became Prime Minister parliament passed the Benn Bill , now an Act of parliament, one of the supporters being Sir Keir Starmer. (I no longer have any respect for the UK parliament (until today I used to spell parliament with an upper case (capital) P). When parliament passed the Benn Bill it was one of the steps being used to destroy democracy in the UK. Why was England not given its own parliament under devolution?
In the 1970’s local government was replaced by larger local government units thus local government became less local. Since then County Councils have relieved the less local government of some of there responsibilities so local government is slowly being made less local and some local services are more difficult to access.
I am now willing to see the UK become four independent nations. Scotland being the first and the possibly Northern Ireland. Wales will have to choose its destiny. Obviously for EU supporters the EU comes first so why should they object if people like me, who do not want England’s destiny decided by the EU, wish England to become a fully independent country.
Should the UK parliament wish to join the EU will it take years to achieve or will the EU fast track the UK (treasure island) application purely to get its hand on UK borrowed money?
Why was England not given its own parliament under devolution?
The simple answer is probably because it was planned to devolve England into about 10 regions as part of the Trans-Manche department of the EU.
But honestly, do you really want to fund yet another tranche/tier of vastly expensive jobsworths? However the idea of using existing facilities and MPs for ‘English Days’ for exclusively English matters wherein only English MPs would vote, would seem a good compromise.
Cutting taxes will
Reduce inflation.
Increase Tax take.
increase wages
So why don’t they do it..?
Because everyione will copy
They are too thick, Feel it is a risk, face hate from competitors, lobbying, proffessions and other corruption., if allowed.
they only just understand that lowering corporation tax increases investment . give them time and repetition …
The danger in that is Scotland, Wales and/or NI becoming EU members. We have enough trouble already with those across the Channel without having them on the doorstep.
‘Remember to phone Granny’ — so, what about Grandpa, are we supposed to forget him???
HA This article is about Kazakhstan not Russia. However you try you cannot make Kazakhstan spell Russia.
Can you actually point to Russia on a map?
Yes, another typically scatter-gun article from HA. But to be fair it was the Russians diverting water to their cotton crops in the 1960s that started the shrinkage of the Aral Sea. But that is a wholly different topic than pollution or climate change.
The whole area is contaminated with agricultural poisons and is now uninhabitable.
Another day and you’re still here, Boris. It must be exhausting clinging on. Are your fingers slipping?
Now is the time to pray. No. Not to Baal, Dagon, Moloch, or any of the other “deities” you may have come across during your classical education. They won’t help you. They are probably the ones who got you into this mess. Moloch is a loveable guy – yes, he’s still around – They sacrifice babies to him, only now it is sanitised, it is called abortion and is claimed as a woman’s “right” so that makes it OK.
There is only ONE who can help, and HE is waiting for YOU to ask HIM.
Oh. You have so much on your mind that you cannot be bothered with all that stuff… I assure you that there is nothing more important. You do not need to use high-falutin’ language. A simple, “Please Father, help me,” is a good start. After that you can ask for the strength, the courage and the wisdom to do what is right.
It worked for the Prodigal Son.
Try it.
You have have got the sum of the game sorted Viv.
If the Tory associations had done their duty in upholding and promoting conservatism over the last 30 years through selective culling of non conservative MPs we may have been in a better place than we are now.
JB- A couple of months ago a constituency conservative party (cant remember which) resigned on mass in protest about parachuted in conservative candidate. A rare event more’s the pity.
Maybe there are some honourable men left, but few put their heads above the parapet.
If only more cons associations would follow their example, . . so yes totally agree JB.
The misguided ‘chosen party elite’ has led the country to Cameroon, the Re’May’ner, and now PM Johno.
When Ritchie gets in, or any other punter, what will change, or is it more of the same?
Biscotte You may be getting confused with Wakefield Labour Party Association which resigned en masse
https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/news/local-news/entire-wakefield-labour-party-executive-23949759
Allegedly, the Tishtosh and Flimflam Conservative Association Ladies have said they will no longer be raising Party funds by making their renowned Victoria Sandwiches until people stop being beastly to their beloved Doris.
Agricultural land is becoming heavily polluted with insecticides, fungicides and fertilisers. Stuff such as copper and arsenic were used in the past. This finds its way into rivers and our drinking water as it can’t easily be removed. Holland is almost the worst place in Europe, Russia being the worst. It’s starting to affect our health. We are all going to have to use a lot less. (And use Genetically Engineered plants, resistant to these problems.). That’s what all the trouble is about.
But you can’t expect dozy journalists to know this.
Just one example.
https://intlpollution.commons.gc.cuny.edu/aral-sea-catastrophe/
There is a place for genetically engineered plants, resistant to bugs and disease. It is one of the reasons world tonnage of grain and essential food stuffs continues to rise year on year, although they like to keep that quiet because it doesn’t fit the narrative. But my concern is genetically engineered humans and globalist engineered shortages.
Having successfully demonised the trace gas CO2 which is essential for life on Earth, as any farmer knows, WEF protege Rutte has turned to Nitrogen which is a whopping 78% of Earth’s atmosphere, and again as any farmer knows, fixing nitrogen in the soil is also essential for plant growth. Anyone would think they were trying to cause food shortages, which, incidentally, they predicted. Funny that.
Ref Phil O`…10.47am
I was told planting clover was a good nitrogen fixative for the soil, I remember during the war as an evacuee seeing a farmer traipsing the field playing a “fiddle” (a box held horizontally in front of him where by means of a bow and circular disc he scattered the seed in front of him, probably used a rich cattle feed
Indeed Phil; we should also not forget the UN plan for massive population reduction. I would suggest to those that believe the necessity of that to top themselves to demonstrate their commitment…
