Oh dear – someone at Auntie Beeb can’t stand BJ, the erstwhile PM, or worse: doesn’t agree with his appeal for ‘poor Ukraine’! Not a good look, Auntie! I refer of course to the compilation of the printed front pages this morning, showing the ‘sack Zahawi’ outcries of the Westminster press – except for the DM. They’ve put yon erstwhile PM on their front page, promoting his ‘outcry’ after his visit to his friend in Kiev. You have to scroll all the way down to the bottom to see that unspeakable, tear-jerking thingie (link). Now ought that not have been given the top spot?
Just to get this piece out of the way, I checked out the DM’s online edition where murder and stuff make up the leading articles. If you really want to have a look at BJ’s elaborate, you can go here. Words simply fail me … I will however quote one, the final paragraph (this and the other emphases are all mine):
“I am proud that it is the UK that is once again making the running. By sending 14 Challenger 2 tanks, our Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has set an example for other countries to emulate. Now is the time for others to follow our lead.” (link)
Blimey – fourteen tanks! Putin will be so scared! Of course, the ‘others’ which are meant to follow us are the Krauts who are being exhorted internationally to send their Leopard tanks. From what I can gather, both Poland, Spain and Turkey have as many Leopards as Germany – so why are they not told to hand them over?
Anyway, we have problems other than ‘Tory Sleaze’ and Challenger Tanks. Yesterday, people were told they could ‘earn money’ by switching off appliances between 5 and 6pm. Of course, we’ve had no reports whatsoever about how this has worked. National Grid employees clearly didn’t have time yet to assess this. However, Ross Clark has written an opinion piece for the DT, under the ominous because true headline:
“The National Grid is falling apart thanks to net zero – We’re left with demand management to keep the lights on – rewarding the rich at the expense of the poor, and all using taxpayer funds” (paywalled link)
Ouch. We’ve always said that Net Zero is a scam, that only the rich can afford all this green crappery. Documenting his claim about ‘Teh Rich’ being rewarded by yesterday’s National Grid ‘flexibility’ scheme, Clark writes:
“It is not hard to spot a slight issue with this offer: the more electricity you use on a normal Monday, the easier it will be for you to cash in today. As with so many green subsidies, it perversely rewards the well-off at the expense of the poor. If you own an 18 bedroom mansion you can easily claim your fee by switching off the lights in the east wing and delaying recharging your Tesla until 7pm. If you normally use only one electric light, there will be no savings for you.” (paywalled link)
Just so! Now here’s a question for Starmer’s lot, always so keen to demand that ‘Teh Rich’ must pay: will Labour scrap Net Zero? Will Labour demand only ‘Teh Poor’ get to receive rewards from this flexibility scheme? And what about the acres of fertile agricultural land being turned into ‘solar farms’, the acres of bird shredders on private land, both filling the coffers of land owners?
Shouldn’t Labour demand this land be ‘nationalised’, that these landowners no longer receive ‘subsidies’ from ‘Teh Poor’, i.e. us tax-paying peasants, to reduce the price of electricity? Not that these renewables are actually capable of producing all electricity we need:

Cynical old me thinks that this is precisely what the Net Zero lot want because it’s what Whitehall and the Treasury want: press as much money out of the taxpaying serfs as possible and then hand a pittance back, with great fanfare, to show how generous and caring the government is!
There’s an opinion piece in the DM today which illustrates this same attitude by the Westminster lot. It’s by RIchar Littlejohn, observing that for far too many Brits ‘Money for nothing’, i.e. ‘income support’ by those idiots still paying tax has become a way of life (link). Well, who wouldn’t grab ‘free stuff’ without asking who paid for this in the first place!
However, instead of lambasting people no longer working perhaps Littlejohn and others ought to ask if people have simply calculated that their income, after working and commuting and the tax grab, is only marginally higher than not working at all. So why should people work their socks off in order to support all the non-workers, e.g. our beloved dinghy drivers? It doesn’t make sense. People are not as stupid as that lot in Westminster think they are.
I leave you with some non-news which are truly earth-shattering. The Times reproduced a warning from an US Think Tank:
“[…] small modules, known as cellular IoTs (Internet of Things), gather data and transmit it via the 5G network, which gives the Chinese authorities intelligence and the ability to track people and businesses. Oh dear! So we need to fear the ‘yellow peril’, is it? See – I knew why I didn’t want ‘Alexa’ and ‘smart meters’ in my home: it’s because I’m doing my bit to defend us against yon yellow peril! Of course, we don’t need to worry about being tracked by the Big Tech firms or our own government, of course not!
And then there’s the DT which has dug out a scheme according to which Tory candidates are offered ‘schooling’, to avoid ‘white resentment’ because, allegedly, it is
“a “significant problem” for ethnic minorities and is defined as “when white employees suggest equality and diversity training is no longer required, as it provides ethnic minority employees with unfair advantages”.” (paywalled link)
Blimey. I had no idea that this was ‘a thing’! I learned something new today, hurrah! Any associations with Orwell’s ‘Animal Farm’, of some animals being more equal than others, are of course heinous and need to be eradicated.
That’s all I’ve got for today. It’ll be interesting to see if ‘our glorious MSM will pick up the “fear the yellow peril”. After all, there must be something to keep us scared while being grateful to Big Government to hand us back a few crumbs from the money they’ve taken from us. Keep warm and have a nice day!
Talking about the Beeb, I had to go to a hospital as outpatient several times lately. I noticed that in the waiting rooms everywhere were great big in-your-face widescreen TVs mounted high on the wall always showing BBC propaganda aka news. I think this is deliberate propaganda, and that they’re not thoughtfully put there to make waiting less tedious. They were never playing any normal programmes like sport or dramas.

A bit long, I know, but sadly it is a long list.
The Sunday telegraph was a microcosm and perfect example of much that is wrong with both ‘modern’ Britain, and the MSM. A sorry and depressing catalogue of money wasted, wokism run riot, virtue signalling and appeasement of enemies abroad and within. Constant erosion of standards of behaviour, practice and values, leading one to ask whether common sense and pragmatism still exist. Is it me, the weariness of old age, or were they always an illusion?
* HS2 spent £8.1m of taxpayers’ money in 2022 on its PR campaign. Anything that needs that sort of self-justification cannot be beneficial or wanted.
* Four London boroughs to spend millions of taxpayers’ money fighting emperor Kublai Khan’s ULEZ extension. I used to live in one of those boroughs and would happily pay to smack down Khan, if I was still there.
* Tate Britain has filled its galleries with paintings linked to slavery and colonialism; an in your face insult to traditional Britain. Their justification, wholly disingenuous, is an ‘effort to be more inclusive’. So make newer residents, who came for our traditions, decency and tolerance, feel more at home by trashing our past and by association their host native Britons.
* Home Office Civil Servants (servants my ar*e – they are the masters now) are instructed not to use Times New Roman typeface as it is harder to read for the visually impaired – how have they managed for the last 92 years? – and not to use italics, that most useful tool of emphasis and asides, because it upsets dyslexics – but all print is a trial for dyslexics. By sheer coincidence the US State Dept has recently done the same. No script here then, whatever the typeface.
* The King wants his coronation designed to be traditional yet inclusive and reflect changing Britain. One tradition will be the LGBT choir – not very inclusive for cis-folk (sorry to use their language.) When was the last time you listened to a choir and even considered the sexual proclivities of the singers? A proper Charlie who understands very little about his subjects, or any subject come to think of it.
* Sunak is considering (which means testing the strength of any outcry) retaining a role for EU judges in Northern Ireland. Face palm. Can you see the globalist yet?
* Sunak faces rebellion over conversion therapy ban. He’s doing his very best on all fronts to make sure the Conservatives have no chance at the next election, so that Labour can introduce all his policies, and worse, without him taking the rap. See the globalist yet?
* Illegal migrants to face crackdown on access to banking and jobs in public services. That’ll larn’em. Given that they run up the beach straight into the black economy and that they are by definition illegal and therefore off-grid… oh I give up. Pointless gesture to maintain the status quo, and the flood; see the globalist yet?
* Tory members want to change the rules to allow a resigning leader to be voted back in. We know who, don’t we children? There used to be a given, that laws and rules should be general, never built around or focussed on individual cases. They tried it with Jeffrey Archer’s peerage. Talk about navel gazing while Rome burns.
* With 21,000 excess heart deaths in the last nine months, a £10 test apparently could ensure patients get the treatment they need. No mention of the… No, don’t get me started on that. And medical staff in work would help, too.
* Vegan protesters have shut down a proposed venison storage and processing plant in the Lake District. Deer locally are at their highest level since the Norman Conquest and need culling and there is a ready market, not to say local jobs. A campaigner said, “The sight of carcasses being handled will be very offensive to SOME of the residents who are vegetarian and vegan.” There was I thinking being veggie or vegan was a personal health choice, not a snowflake meat phobia. And no one will being forced to go in for a tour. The council withdrew permission on the grounds it would have been too close to homes, which living on the edge of a village as I do I can understand on conservation grounds. But why spin it as a victory for vegans?
* A letter, chosen from thousands for publication, says: “there is only one thing the [fossil fuel] industry needs to do: stop the product it sells from causing further global warming.” It goes on in similar ignorant, or shill, vein at some length. From two people at University of Oxford. ‘Nuff said.
* Another letter says Britain is receiving Russian oil via India, so should cease all overseas aid to India for ‘this activity harmful to our nation.’ Quite how us receiving much needed oil is harmful to us is beyond me. And if the gossamer thin argument is that Putin is enriched or enabled; there are plenty of places that the oil would happily go if not to us, so affecting him not all.
* China’s dream of world domination is over, we are told. All of a piece with the regular ‘Russia is losing; Putin’s dream is over’ propaganda. It ends by saying: “The cost of massive armament to threaten Taiwan is impossible to justify and an invasion even more so.” Since when does a Communist ruler need to justify anything to anyone? North Korea’s GDP per capita is 178th out of 178 measured. Yet they have the fourth largest military on the planet.
* A culture of entitlement, rather than poverty, is holding people – and the country – back. Ex-Labour MP, Lee Anderson is one of the very few genuine Conservative MPs now. The zeal of the convert. He’s not wrong.
* Sunak must reject Davos groupthink, says Liam Halligan, allowing the Telegraph to pretend it is not on board. I like Liam. He talks much sense on GBN, but this is disingenuous for a different piper calling his tune; he must know, that that is why WEF acolytes Sunak and Hunt were installed in the first place.
* City dumbing down. Firms have started to lower academic barriers in a bid to widen their pool of recruits. Are there not enough high flyers? Were such qualifications never really need after all, or is this a way to fulfil their diversity quotas under cover of a dearth of applicants.
* Beeb battles to stem falling listenership, er, by sacking or losing (I wonder why) old favourite presenters. It is older folk who grew up with the radio, or even the wireless, who still listen. But the lefty-woke Beeb is obsessed with youth – who have grown up with multiple sources and other distractions – because it is they they want to brainwash.
* And finally, a cracker. “The savings you’ll make by going green.” Or not, as most of the examples (heat pumps, insulation, double glazing, electric car + charging point, solar panels and batteries) go on to prove to anyone with a modicum of maths and sanity. So this article is a bit of a Trojan Horse; it actually refutes the premise it purports to be making. Subtle subversion of the narrative or blinkered; you decide.
All that is just one source from one day in the life of a country in free-fall.
You could cut such lengthy posts in half and post the thing as Part I and Part II … it would make for easier reading …

There was a documentry on bbc last night / this morning. It showed the Winter of 1963. Well worth a watch. Spoilers – no-one was terrified – Winter clothing has changed over the years – large clumps of frozen coal had to be defrosted before use.
It was of course on so late at night because of its racist content – only White People suffered. Many were cold, but few were frozen.
Although plenty of snowflakes were shewn, surprised bbc did not show all the ‘safe space’ refuges of the time.

Viv- last night sky noos gave a presentation on how the Ukies were winning, and how they would perform their Ukie Spring offensive. It certainly was news to many of us that large parts of the Ruskie army were surrounded and about to be ‘rolled up’, at the same time as the Ukies were going to retake Crimea. The news missed out the ‘bbc checked fact’ that there is a Lancaster bomber on the Moon.

As for the rest of it, it stopped being the Ukraine war some time ago, it’s now a war between NATO and Russia and soon I’m sure, WW3.
Johnson signed up to Net Zero too, if we don’t get nuked by Russia, we’ll starve to death and live in poverty. As for racial resentment, it wouldn’t be an issue if our politicians hadn’t allowed mass immigration and Theresa May signed us up for the Global Compact On Migration, just to double down on it all. Just imagine the racial tension as resources dwindle and we compete for resources along ethnic lines – don’t listen to politicians bang on about the joys of multiculturalism – races don’t integrate, it’s the most natural human thing in the world to fight alongside your own countrymen.
So, those of us that the nukes don’t get, will either starve, freeze or die fighting in the streets. It’s logical isn’t it, the west is about to realise that if you don’t defend your borders, you end up fighting your wars in your own streets.
As bad a Johnson is, he’s just one of the latest in a long line of politicians stretching back at least fifty years, guilty of treason and as far fetched as it sounds, I’m afraid ultimately guilty of genocide against their own people. No, that party wherever it may currently be will come from another direction. The best bet is either the Heritage Party or the SDP in my opinion, unless of course Nigel Farage has something up his sleeve and keeping it under wraps.
