Don’t use the ‘E-word!”
It is becoming more and more difficult to find reliable reports and analyses regarding the situation in Ukraine. This is exacerbated by the shenanigans of Western politicians who posture with ever new ‘punitive’ proposals to achieve their goal, to ‘degrade’ Russia’s economy, as if we, the hapless taxpayers, won’t be affected in the slightest. Higher gas prices? Peanuts, just another small sacrifice we’ll make for Ukraine!
I won’t need to mention here the inglorious role our MSM play in this unfolding catastrophe. Over the last two years we’ve surely learned that their reporting cannot be trusted, that they are nought but government propaganda outlets, that we needed to rely on other media to find out about the truth the MSM and government tried to hide.
The current situation is however unprecedented. Not only can we trust the MSM even less regarding their reports: are they based on reality or on fake ‘news’? It’s worse because sources ‘from the other side’ have been made unavailable thanks to western sanctions on Russian news outlets.
I am however going to mention a report in the DT because it demonstrates that US intelligence is fully aware of what happens on the ground:
“A US defence intelligence official said in a briefing that emerged overnight: “We continue to observe that the airspace over Ukraine is contested. Ukrainian air and missile defences remain effective and in use. The Ukrainian military continues to fly aircraft and to employ air defence assets. Both sides have taken losses to both aircraft and missile defence inventories. We are not going to speak to numbers. We assess that both sides still possess a majority of their air defence systems and capabilities.” (paywalled link)
Interesting – so the ‘news’ about Russia having lost their air supremacy are fake, are they? I cannot verify the rumours on various blogs that Ukrainian forces are getting up-to-date military information from US intelligence. I can and do wonder though why it is that the humanitarian corridors are allegedly being shelled and bombed by Russians if Ukrainian air forces ‘remain operational’.
Are the US spy services not telling the Ukrainians in ’real time’ where these Russian forces are concentrated so they can do those shellings? Are the Ukrainian forces neither capable of attacking those Russian forces nor willing to warn their citizens?
After all, not even those Ukrainiain battalions like the Azov one, a proudly neonazi one, would shell and bomb their owm people, would use them as human shields. Surely not! That would be fake news, wouldn’t it! Only – who knows when we cannot even access ‘fake news channels’, not even to point out their ‘fakeness’ but must accept what our own fake-news providers tell us?
Then there’s the economy. Of course, “we” are not only happy to bear the inflation now in full swing, “we” are surely willing to do so because our sacrifices will force Russia to her knees – or so Ambrose Evans-Pritchard tells us: “Vladimir Putin never believed the West would cut off Russian oil: that was a grave mistake” (paywalled link) Does he realise what his gloating description implies:
“The West has the strategic depth to endure the sudden loss of 4.3m barrels a day of Russian crude, the lion’s share sold to Europe and Nato democracies. It will be painful but is technically and economically doable. A crude blockade will make it impossible for the Kremlin to continue waging serious offensive war in Ukraine beyond a few weeks. There is a high chance that it will set off the internal disintegration of Vladimir Putin’s siloviki regime (KGB mafia), though by what mechanism remains obscure.” (paywalled link)
‘Tis a ‘cat-out-of-the bag’ moment: it’s not about helping poor innocent Ukraine, it’s about destroying Russia and toppling Putin. The rise in price for crude oil, at the time of writing standing at around $130 per barrel: aww, who needs oil nowadays!
Meanwhile, the EU will be happy to do without all Russian gas, even were Russia make good on their threat to stop all deliveries (link). It’s irrelevant that there’s been a gas shortage on the world market since last autumn. It’s irrelevant that gas is needed for more than just heating homes or running power stations. “We” can bear that and the oil shortage because AEP tells us that “The White House is sending emergency missions to Saudi Arabia and Venezuela to find extra barrels.” (paywalled link), giving a whole new meaning to ‘America first’. Let the devil take the EU hindmost ….Next he gloats:
“It is this – as much as comments by top US diplomat Anthony Blinken – that tells us Washington really is going for broke. You can hear the footsteps of the world’s only real superpower bearing down fast.” (paywalled link)
It doesn’t seem to occur to those diplomats and indeed AEP that those countries might not be willing to play ball, not when the USA have just disrupted the international banking system. Even those ‘minor’ world leaders might ask themselves if there’ll be any guarantee now that their banking assets might not equally be ‘sanctioned’ as Russia’s in order to create ‘regime change’.
However, various economic analysts are not gloating, they warn of the economic consequences of the USA’s destruction of the global trade network, see for example Phil Mullan’s article in Spiked Online (link), this one by Michael Hudson or this analysis by Alistair Crooke (link).
Certainly we can also hear ‘the footsteps of the world’s only real superpower bearing down fast’, as AEP gleefully writes. However, these footsteps don’t herald the ‘end of Putin’, they herald the wilful destruction of the global economy. I sincerely doubt that ‘Teh West’ is prepared for this.
While the Johnsons and Trudeaus of this world posture and signal their anti-Russian virtue, we’re going to have to face inflation, even higher taxes and further destruction of businesses big and small. Where’s the security of our energy supply and where’s the security of our food supply? Shall we have to eat all those solar panels which are now being ‘farmed ‘everywhere?
The footsteps I hear aren’t those of ‘the only real western superpower’, they are the footsteps of the four riders of the Apocalypse.
She’s great……………and good!
GBNews-
Since it arrived on the airwaves GBNews has banged on about being impartial.
It seems that was then . . . now after 11.00 p.m. there are three ‘comedians’ who find slagging off Donald Trump and blaming Brexit for just about anything they can – but not the weather so far. And all three laughing at each other taking a swipe at Russia.
During the day, we see a one sided relentless Ukraine good, Russia bad commentary.
‘Here is a Ukrainian woman with a prepared set of short speeches . . . ‘ (and the other side of the argument? – no chance of rebuttal?? – what a bbc style surprise).
The Nazi Ukrainian President, aka a latter-day Churchill is so hard done by.
Commentator – ‘yes (interviewee) it is bad news that the Russians are only killing civilians and bombing blocks of flats’. (Not strictly exactly what was said, but might have well said that). ‘Now audience comments . . . (about how nuts Putin is)’.
Just heard broadcast ‘the ruthless mass killer – Putine’.
So GBNews has crossed over too. (Shakes head). That didn’t last long GBNews, did it.
My thoughts entirely , I only caught a few minutes of some sort of conversation headed by a woman who ‘rubbished’ everything coming out of Russia, odd for a impartial interview I thought, perhaps impartial is like the new truth it can mean anything you wish it to.
ITS FOR THE GREATER GOOD DON’T YOU KNOW.
Coming very soon. The proposed removal of Human Rights in the UK for the ‘Greater Good’
And how it could apply to unvaccinated citizens

To understand the depth of neo-Nazi involvement in UKraine and why Zelensky and his regime are not the saintly figures portrayed in the MSM propaganda, read Rodney Atkinson’s excellent piece of 6th March on http://www.freenations.net
Quite an eye-opener – but not altogether unexpected. I downloaded it to take another look when I have time, and before it becomes cancelled illegal fake news.
The first casualty of war is truth. After GBNews tonight, I don’t believe there is an impartial / objective / truthful news organisation left out there.
Everyone and their friends all over the media seem to know what Putin thinks, and is only too willing to share; it is mostly coloured by their belief that he is irrational and an ogre and a common thug. They could be right on all three. But what we are not allowed to read or hear is what he actually says, and when a snippet is released it is claimed to be untrustworthy propaganda. Now there’s irony for you. That rings my alarm bells.
Of course there will be tragically unnecessary deaths and damage, but on dispassionate observation much does not support the blanket narrative. It is irrelevant whether we agree his stated objectives are unjustified, or believe they are propaganda, to ignore them is high folly. My feeling, as a mere observer, is that Putin will stop when he has achieved his objectives – disable Ukraine’s military capability, destroy the US biolabs, destroy the neoNazi Azov regiment, take Odessa and the coast, and occupy the territory east of the Dnieper. He will hold that and wait for negotiations. This will spoil the narrative that he is Hell bent on taking the whole of Ukraine and razing the country (you know, they way the Americans do), and it will put the ball squarely in the West’s court.
The WEF is striving for WWIII and worldwide famine to obliterate their pharmacological sins and drive their One World Government agenda; senior Democrats are livid, having had their cash cow and money laundering activities halted, and their bio programme; and under cover of all this the WHO is busily preparing its International Treaty in Pandemic Prevention and Preparedness, which will give them total control over any country that signs it.
On the plus side, the climate emergency seems less of an emergency suddenly, and countries are scrambling for good old cheap and ‘nasty’ fossil fuels. Appropriately, it’s an ill wind, as they say.
This is Putin’s eve of war speech of February 24th. Passionate belief does not make something right; war is always wrong, but mis-characterising one’s enemy makes it harder to stop. That the first rule, know your enemy, seems to have been jettisoned, and unanimity of message just like for Covid, speaks volumes for true aims.

Phil O’S at 11.53am. I think you are probably right in all you say there.
And can we blame Putin? Considering how much ‘The West’ has poked the ‘Russian Bear’, I’d say his aims are relatively moderate if he settles for, some of Ukraine territory and most of the ways the west has threatened him.
Following yesterday’s fake crowd scene, this corker popped up:

It’s comical, but don’t laugh; this kind of manipulation should be prosecuted.
The playbook looked familiar, so it prompted me to revisit some earlier examples.
Ah yes, here we are:

And for good measure, fake medics:

Fake casualties:

And a collection to finish with (the corpse having a smoke is particularly good):

I am not suggesting everything you see is faked, but keep your eyes open. And scale is not an indicator of truth. JFK was presented, by his Head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, with Operation Northwoods, a plan to shoot down an American civil airliner over Cuba as a pretext for invasion. He fired that man, and was assassinated shortly after. And don’t forget 9/11 and Assad’s chemical attacks.
It’s a big unanswered question Phil. Just who did mastermind the assassination of JFK and why, straight after Cuba. Didn’t the Cubans actually shoot down a U.S. spy plane? Or did I get that from a fiction account.
Anyway, my overall impression is that this country has been relying on USA as our main ally for far too long.
We are supposed to be an Independent Country. That means looking after our own interests first.
No one can rely on a big bully looking after them.
Zelensky worries me. Seems far to keen on taking on Russia, a war he cannot win. Zelensky risked Ukraine being invaded when he aligned himself with forces fronted by people like Johnson and Trudeau. If Putin is a mad Psycho it was probably not wise to try turning the Ukraine into a vassal state controlled by globalist interests. Putin said as much. Pivoting West has obvious attractions for Ukraine voters but the only real winners will be the career politicians in the pocket of corporate gangsters. Zelensky went too far too fast and now expects international help to resist the Russian war machine. Johnson should stay well out of it. He can do humanitarian aid and clean up his own party of its russian links.
Apparently Vladimir Putin has offered a halt to the invasion providing that Ukraine does not join either NATO or the European Union. Seems to be a good offer to me, and one that should be taken up at the earliest opportunity. If the Ukraine, NATO and the European Union had addressed Putin’s concerns in the first place this present situation wouldn’t have occurred I am absolutely sure. This is the Cuban missile crisis of 1962 in reverse, and the eastward expansion of NATO and the EU has not been the best idea in the circumstances. Apart from that, why the hell the Ukraine has wanted to be independent from Russia but at the same time wanted to be a part of the European Union is beyond me, and bossed around by them from pillar to post. Isn’t that the reason why the UK wanted out of it? Hasn’t any politician in this world got any common sense, and I include Boris Johnson in that. I appreciate that some who read site may think that Johnson is the best thing since sliced bread, so I wont call him a twit and so on and so forth, as I don’t want to offend them.
Zelensky has no right to be ruling Ukraine.
It is not Ukraine that wants to be part of the EU, it is Zelensky, because that would give him apparent legitimacy. I.M.H.O.
(Quite apart from economic assistance from EU.)
Katie Hopkins presents some video footage of Zelensky that will just about make you throw up.

Installed as a sacrificial puppet.
Oh is that what it said? I couldn’t play it on my antiquated system.
Anyway, now he’s there he’ll want to stay in power, whatever it costs in lives sacrificed. So long as it’s not his own life.
