‘Eradicate the letter Z’ is the next Big Thing!

What a day, yesterday! The collective russophile alt media/blogosphere erupted and went incandescent about ‘treason’ and ‘how could he’ – meaning Mr Putin and his negotiators who’d met with Ukrainian negotiators in Istanbul yesterday. That’s what happens when one doesn’t read what was actually written, when one gives in to emotions based on a first impression and forsakes a cool, rational analysis.

There was a statement by the Russians afterwards, as is customary. Some negotiating  points had been put on paper and suddenly the whole war-watching world seemed to agree that Putin had lost the war. The main argument for this astonishing ‘take’ was that ‘Russia had agreed’ to reduce significantly military operations around Kiev’ – and that Putin had agreed to meet Mr Z.

Staying with the military operations, General  Shoigu, the Russian defence minister, said that this is a regrouping of Russian forces, allowing them to concentrate on liberating the Donbass. The military-minded amongst you might like to read this ‘primer’, from an American military specialist. Keep in mind that a ceasefire was not proposed!

Not only is context important, it’s also important to accurately read what was actually said. This paper, this statement, was giving the points proposed by the Ukraine, forming the basis on which further negotiations were to take place. Moscow, will now look at those in the next few days and will decide how to proceed from there.

I note that our cherished propaganda outlets have found their loyal royal hearts this morning, with headlines on the Queen and the memorial service for Prince Philip (link). That’s one way to avoid falling into the trap of screaming about something which hasn’t happened.

There’s also Partygate where the Met Police has now handed out 20 fines. Blimey. How glad the PM must be that the war has taken the collective eyes of the Westminster presspack off him! Still, he couldn’t resist to put both his feet into his mouth yet again, demonstrating that people at No 10 were and are as remiss when it comes to reading what was actually said as the rest of the western MSM and the russophiles were.

Suddenly, the ‘withdrawal of a few units from around Kiev’ becomes ‘a ceasefire’, and Johnson grabbed this misinterpretation with both hands to posture even further:

“It will take more than a ceasefire in Ukraine for London to lift its sanctions against Russia, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson told his cabinet on Tuesday, insisting that Moscow must fully alter its policy towards its neighbor. Pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin “must be increased both through further economic measures and providing military aid to ensure Russia changes course completely,” Johnson told his ministers, according to his spokesman.” (link)

Again – there is no ceasefire except in the minds of those who’ve not read properly what was written. Let me reiterate the important point: this paper isn’t a peace treaty, this paper isn’t a statement in preparation for a peace treaty, it is the position of the Zelenski government which will now be studied in Moscow.

Moreover, the Ukraine is clearly ‘winning’ this war because their Foreign Minister has had time for another demand. You really couldn’t make this up:

“I call on all states to criminalize the use of the ‘Z’ symbol as a way to publicly support Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine,” Kuleba wrote on Twitter on Tuesday. He added that ‘Z’ means “Russian war crimes, bombed out cities, thousands of murdered Ukrainians” and said that “public support of this barbarism must be forbidden.” (link)

The Americans better revert to the proper English spelling then and surely Mr Z must now drop the first letter of his surname! Paul Joseph Watson’s video on this hilarious proposal is worth watching. The comments below that video are pure gold.

I’ll just add that the alacrity with which western commercial firms, western papers and people have followed this demand shows that the woke~ and cancel~culture has become so deeply rooted in our society that taking the knee and virtue-signalling one’s anti-russian attitude by dropping the letter “Z” has made clowns even of staid Swiss companies.

The plain hypocrisy with which ‘Teh West’ is treating issues regarding the Ukraine is demonstrated exemplary by their utter disregard of the torture of Russian POWs by Ukrainian Nazis. The stomach-turning videos have made the rounds, there’s no doubt that they are real. However, even so the Ukraine is still sitting at the table of the ‘Council of Europe’ from which Russia has been kicked out (link) while Russian diplomats are being told to leave western countries, from Belgium to Poland.

Meanwhile the UN and humanitarian aid organisations have suddenly discovered that this war might lead to ‘catastrophical famines’ which will be the sole fault of Russia. Russia’s UN representative however said:

“UNITED NATIONS, March 30. /TASS/. The West’s unilateral anti-Russian sanctions are leading to a global economic crisis of a historic scale, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vassily Nebenzia said on Tuesday. “The actual causes threatening the global food market with serious turbulence are not in Russia’s actions but rather is the unrestrained sanction hysteria the West has unleashed against Russia giving no thought either to the population of the countries of the so-called global south or to their own citizens.” (link)

Surely ‘Teh West’ produces enough food to help those poorer nations! Perhaps it’s too much to hope that it might dawn on those UN organisations that sanctioning Russia was a bad idea and that, moreover, this could have been avoided if ‘Teh West’ had listened to Putin before the 24th February 2022.

There is one more date to keep in mind: April 1st 2022. Not because of April foolery but because tomorrow, 31st March, is the last day for western governments and energy conglomerates to come to terms with the situation in the energy sector. From April 1st, payments for Russian oil and gas will have to be made in roubles. While the G7 stamped their collective feet, saying they wouldn’t pay in roubles, here’s the reply from Moscow:

“MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. Russia will not supply gas for free, it is impossible, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed talking to reporters on Tuesday. “No one will supply gas for free, it’s simply impossible, and you can pay for it only in rubles,” Peskov said. “[Foreign] companies must understand that the market conditions and the situation have totally changed, which, in fact, occurred in conditions of the economic war waged against the Russian Federation,” he added.” (link)

Yep, that’s only fair. Why should Russia supply gas and oil ‘for free’ to the sanctions-obsessed West. No spinning of ‘withdrawing some troops from around Kiev’ meaning ‘ceasefire’, no declarations that ‘Putin is weak’ will alter the fact that Russia may well turn off the oil and gas supplies from April onwards if the West doesn’t pay. And then what?

This was announced a week ago. There was  time to work something out, but our wonderful leaders simply do not listen to a word coming from Moscow. Our ‘leaders’ are only interested in posturing, shroud-waving and virtue-signalling. on the only stage they still believe matters: ‘Teh West’. People in China, India, Brasil, the Middle East and Africa beg to differ.

We’d better focus instead on eradicating the letter “Z” from logos, nay: from the alphabet! That’ll show Putin!
