“News”? Not worth the effort of waking up …
Dear readers – we have no problems, none at all! That is the impression one has after checking out this morning’s MSM. And so, you might ask, what are the papers writing about today? Yes – more BBC ‘presenter’ sex scandal: “’BBC star facing fresh claims’ and ‘Kyiv’s Nato delay’” (link) – and now it’s going to become serious because ‘lockdown’ is mentioned.
I can’t remember when The Sun graced the compilation’s top spot. Is this a hint that ‘staff’ at the BBC think that the ‘presenter’ in the news ought to come clean? That the BBC managers ought to name names? I’m still amazed that the name hasn’t officially been leaked. Allegedly, the paper editors are told by their lawyers not to publish even though ‘everybody’ knows.
Does no-one at the BBC know that it’s the cover-up which makes a scandal into a true scandal, not the actual transgression? Does nobody in the BBC or the MSM realise that this ongoing prevarication is eroding even the vestiges of trust some people might have had in the probity of the ruling classes, made up of BBC and MSM chiefs and columnists, of Westminster mandarins and the MPs of the Uniparty? It’s now going to get worse because The Sun reports that yon presenter ‘broke lockdown rules’. Here’s the DM’s headline:
“Embattled BBC presenter hit with fresh claims as he is branded a ‘complete hypocrite for breaking lockdown rules to see 23-year-old he met on a dating site and gave £650 to’ – while a FOURTH person says star sent ‘creepy’ messages to them on Instagram” (link)
Will the same lot of ‘opinion makers’ who’ve been in full outcry over other ‘criminals’ who broke the lockdown laws, e.g the erstwhile PM and his adviser Mr Cummings or yon ‘Health’ minister or the ‘modelling professor’, now demand the ‘presenter’s’ blood? Given the exorbitant salaries the BBC pays to their ‘prominence’, taken from us via the telly tax, that shouldn’t lead to hardship for him/her/it.
I’ll mention the NATO jamboree in passing, simply because our warmongering ‘authors’ are filled with glee because, according to the DT, “Sweden’s giant-killer military is built for one thing: fighting Russia – Its forces will now deny Russia access to the Arctic and Baltic regions” (paywalled link).
Let’s overlook the little fact that Sweden, having been neutral until now, hasn’t fought anyone, never mind Russia, and let’s overlook some geographic facts such as Sweden not having ‘access to the Arctic’ which in common parlance means the Artic Ocean. That would be Norway – long-time NATO member – and now Finland. The same goes for the Chihuahua states.
Meanwhile, a columnist rubs his hands in The Times because “Erdogan sniffs an opening as he snubs Putin – Turkey’s pivot to Nato shows the weakened Russian leader is no longer the strongman’s strongman” (link, paywalled). I seem to recall vaguely that Turkey has been in the NATO for a long time. I also seem to recall that the still-reigning Sultan Erdogan has done as he liked and is especially good at blackmailing the EU.
He as well as India’s Modi are acting according to the principle first mentioned by Lord Palmerston: “We have no eternal allies, and we have no perpetual enemies. Our interests are eternal and perpetual, and those interests it is our duty to follow.” (link), later formulated more pithily by Charles De Gaulle: “ (link)“. Nowadays it’s about ‘being friends’ and never mind the arm-twisting and backstabbing used by the nation so keen on seeing the states of the world as ‘friends’, always excepting the ‘outcasts’, the ‘enemy’.
I leave you with a very interesting pivot regarding the issue of transgenderism. The Netherlands ‘Miss Universum’ competition has just ‘crowned’ a transgender male as their ‘most beautiful woman’. See – it’s all fine! But here’s the pivot. The DT has an article delving into ‘history’ and finds the culprit for the felt proliferation of transgender people:
“How Trump paved the way for trans equality – More than a decade ago, Donald Trump was an unlikely LGBT ally – and his stance might affect him now” (paywalled link)
It’s about a decision he made in 2012 when he still owned ‘Miss Universum’, allowing a trans female to participate. Let’s not mention that the current owner of this franchise is a Thai transgender person (link) – it’s fine, I tellsya!
Given the increasing groundswell of ‘public’ opinion which is turning against transgenderitis and given the coming US Presidential elections: isn’t this a wonderful stick for bashingTrump? It was all his fault, see – and a proper ‘progressive’, a Lefty by another name, is now free to turn his/her/its back on this issue. Never mind that such ‘progressive’ has been bashing ‘norms’ for bigotry and worse when protesting against transgenderitis! See how this works?
What I want to know is this: why do girls so desperately want to become ‘a man’ when males, especially white males, are the despised gender, blamed for everything, while females are at the top, celebrated even for sneezing? Furthermore, shouldn’t therefore even more males ‘transition’ to female, not just the male prisoner population? It doesn’t add up. But it’s good to know that all of this is Trump’s fault!
And finally, here’s a sad pointer to a future becoming even bleaker than we thought:
“Primary children in England are still doing worse than before the pandemic in maths and writing while reading has stalled, figures show. Fewer than three fifths of pupils are reaching the expected standard in all of the three Rs. This year’s figure — 59 per cent — is down from 65 per cent before lockdown and is considerably lower than the government’s target of 90 per cent working at this level by 2030, which was described by head teachers as a “pipe dream”.” (link, paywalled)
Well, ‘boko haram’, and with smartphones and software no child needs to learn the Three R’s. They can rely on trusted figures they ‘meet’ on telly, such as yon BBC ‘presenter’. For the rest, there’s always AI.
That’s all I have for today. I enjoy watching our ‘ruling class’ digging their own hole, ever deeper. They’ve clearly forgotten Denis Healey’s Law about stopping to dig when one is in one. Well, one has to find one’s giggles where one can. Have a good day.
Of course. Wouldn’t miss David Starkey
Nigel Farage has announced on his Facebook site in the form of a video that he has joined the US branch of the Daily Express who will be covering the forthcoming presidential elections in the USA, wow wee. He says also that it is a good read, hee hee, you got to be joking aren’t you If the US version is anything like the British version of the Daily Express then it won’t be, as it is full of supposition and embellished stories like 15 feet of snow drifts and minus 15 temperatures in Winter, and only a few days ago it was stating here in the UK that we are imminently going to endure 40 degree blistering heat in the next three weeks. The big problem with that is that their weather forecasting prediction is not borne out with the Meteorological Office forecast. Presumably Farage isn’t giving the US Daily Express the benefit of his knowledge and experience for free, and that he is being paid handsomely and in so doing has to talk it up. I used to buy the Daily Express on a daily basis when I was at work, but it took less than 10 minutes to read the newsworthy bits and the rest was taken up tedious health issues and the like. About the only believable part of the Express was the Rupert Bear Adventures, and I dare say nothing much has changed……..
Our ruling class are digging US into a hole, that’s for sure : they probably won’t end up there themselves for any length of time. . Or they’re digging holes for the same purpose as cats, trying to hide what they’ve done.
If you are saying cats cover up their ‘poohs’ you are only perpetuating a myth by cat owners. Come around sometime and in the middle of my lawn I’ll rub your nose in it. Inner city vermin.
Cluster bombs used behind the lines already. Yesterday ukr cluster bombed Tekmat. Shortly after, when the medics, stretcher parties arrived the ukrs hit them too. A little reminiscent of the other terrorist outfit – the ira. Bomb – emergency services – bomb again.
As ye hall sow, so shall ye reap.
I heard Ritchie Soonak took Alinski’s neck size at last meeting. Giving up the shirt off his (Ritchie’s) back is a step towards saying ‘we’ are all in this. He’s given everything else ‘we’ own.
A statistical outlier on your lawn does not render the norm of cat behaviour a myth. Mary’s comment was not about cats per se.
SY- as a lawyer would say in Dickensian fashion, ‘I put it to you’ this is a concrete example. As an expert witness, declare the proven data?
And give me your address and I’ll send you many, many samples at no cost.
‘Its a well known fact’ is not acceptable. Propaganda by cat owners.
And the same thing happened at my last house. Pooh everywhere plus sleeping on my seedlings.
Unable to put infant youngsters on lawns to play due due to all the cat effluent – super.
Give me an address and I’ll send you many, many samples.

Another attack on us by interference of the House of Lords. Time to get rid of them unless they stop working against us.
“The proportion of children with foreign born parents, or who are foreign born themselves”
All planned to destroy our country; surely it cannot be explained by simple stupidity?
A despicable, loathsome, right wing, fascist, bloke ; recently described himself as an ” extra marital lockdown criminal “. . Should he go to prison ? What does ( he ? ) mean ? What might be his objective.? Can he join UKIP ?. Would UKIP have him ?
TG Spokes………who are you talking about, and what has it to do with UKIP?
CH- the bbc fellow who cannot be named (Voldermort).
And Lt Col Voldermort was leader / hatchet man for killing off UKIP.
Do keep up!
Biscotte……..Lt. Col Voldermort…….never heard of him.
Biscotte………just looked up Voldermort on web, and the only reference came up on Wikipedia (Harry Again’s favourite reference point, and someone/something to do with Harry Potter…zzzzzzzzzzzzz. Couldn’t be bothered to read the rest of it as it was sleep inducing. Come come Biscotte surely you can do better than that. Anyway, those of us in the know, know that the demise of UKIP had nothing to do with a fictional character.
Transgenderitis: I love it (the word not the thing, obvs.)
Is that some sort of post-surgical itching, and do antibiotics help?
Antibiotics sadly don’t help because the itching and in fact the whole infection is spiritual/mental. Just as there’s no antibiotical cure for stupid, there’s sadly only a very painful, powerful bite by Reality which can cure some of the transgenderitis-afflicted.
The proportion of children with foreign born parents, or who are foreign born themselves, increases each year and so the number of households with English as a second language continues to increase. The statistics on educational attainment need to be broken down between primary school children with English as a first language and those for whom English is a second language. The number from single parent families also needs analysing. Even if the developmental effects of missing early socialisation that the pandemic inflicted is ignored there will be factors in the decline of standards that have nothing to do with primary school budgets. The press are just purveyors of ‘thought-substitutes’, to use Medawar’s term that I mentioned a few days ago, running dogs to the preferred narrative of our elites.
While searching for something that was not a thought-substitute the only news that grabbed my attention was Nigella Lawson saying that once you have tried steamed new potatoes you will never boil them again. I intend to follow up on this.
Stout Yeoman………..better still, why don’t you try steamed Charlotte potatoes. Would you by chance be going to the UKIP Patrons Dinner this Saturday?
