… watching today’s Coronation

 

Finally, ‘The Day’ has dawned upon us: King Charles III will be crowned today in Westminster Abbey. The MSM were, are and tomorrow will be full of this event which has even inspired this morning’s cartoon in The Times. It’s quite ingenious, mashing up Starmer, the ‘winner’ of yesterday’s local elections, and the Coronation. Have a look here.

The rest of the print editions are feverishly indulging in hyperbole: “Newspaper headlines: The King’s ‘day of destiny’ finally arrives” (link). What happened to British reticence and a disgust of displaying emotions in public? I have to give top marks to the Star’s front page! Their collage of coronation images includes a beautiful Irish wolfhound – the mascot of the Irish Guards. I shall look out for him later today. I mean – we will all watch the pomp and circumstance of the Coronation, won’t we?

For those of you who’d prefer to read something substantial instead, I recommend Matt Goodwin’s instant analysis of Thursday’s local elections, written before all results were in and published on his substack page:  yesterday evening, headlined: “The party that never made a choice – What the local elections really tell us about the British Tories” (link). 

He doesn’t mince his words, criticising the Tory Party. Of course, he doesn’t mention the role played by Labour in his general assessment of the state of the country – see the last two paragraphs – nor the role of the Remain mandarins. It seems this is something nobody in Westminster really wants to talk about, not when they prepare to ‘crown’ Starmer.

There are two other ‘news’ items, swamped by the Coronation ‘news’. They are important because they are hints for the coming campaigns for Net Zero. One is in the DT with the headline:

“Why millions of drivers are stubbornly sticking with their ageing old reliables – Motorists refuse to trade in their old bangers despite electric car push” (paywalled link)

Good question! It’s of course inconceivable that all those stupid peasants were checking their personal budgets and decided not to spend their money on EVs which are only useful as 2nd car, and that the current car will do very well until things have settled a bit. After all, energy prices are still obscenely high.

Moreover – aren’t’ all the MSM still beating their war drums, providing both war~ and fear~porn every day? Why would any sane person splash out their hard-earned money when it might well be needed for things such as food? 

The other ‘news’ item is a report in Remain Central, playing on that other ‘fear item’, in tune with the climate terrorists: “Spain heatwaves ‘almost impossible’ without man-made climate change” (link, paywalled).

So there was a ‘heatwave’ in Spain and Portugal last month, with ‘unseasonably high temperatures’, was there?  Strangely enough, the climate change ‘researchers’ seem to have been unaware of the fact that no such heatwave had hit the eastern Mediterranean, nor Greece, Italy or France at the same time.

I’m just asking – if it’s ‘global’ then it should be noticed everywhere, no? Yet again, we get ‘climate change’ when it’s hot because it suits that narrative, we never get ‘its only weather’  which we get slapped round our heads when we point out that it’s colder than usual. 

Both these ‘news’ items are aimed at supporting the Net Zero policies in the coming days and months. Will we hear words to that effect from the new ‘Great Leader’ Starmer? Will Labour show how much it is the Tory Party Mk II by pursuing the same policies which damage their former clients, the actual workers and the poor?

Moreover, from what ‘sources’ told me, a lot of new ‘green’ local councillors were voted in, so surely it’s what people want? Will Starmer, will Labour come clear about this? Perhaps the next government will look like Germany’s, with a coalition of Lib, Lab and Green if we do end up with a hung parliament? 

Will we end up like the Germans where the Greens are in a coalition government, now dismantling German industries, continuing the covid-induced destruction of their High Streets even further, stymying house building thanks to ever more insane ‘green’ regulations and increasing the tax burden? 

Meanwhile, disregard the anti-monarchists given so much space in our glorious MSM: they cannot ‘redact out’ the masses on the streets who love the Royals, who love the Monarchy and who will show their delight.

Unlike those who’ve missed history lessons in school – that’s most of the current crop of ‘young influencers’ – we monarchist plebs know that the monarch isn’t ‘making the laws’ and can’t throw traitors into the Tower to have their heads chopped off (more’s the pity …).
