Skimming the front pages of our MSM during the last week was frightening – not because of the news from Israel and Gaza but because of the ensuing attempts to nudge us into accepting the ‘opinions’ of the ‘leaders’ of the West, with the help of their MSM news editors and opinion makers. After a week of helpless vacillating, they have now found their voice, from Washington to Berlin,  and are trying to nudge us gently into regarding Israel as the attacker and Hamas as the innocent victim. The events of 2008, with exactly the same agents and ‘events’, have been forgotten – or memory-holed on purpose.

Unsurprisingly, this nudge goes hand-in-hand with the warning of Western politicians addressed to Israel, not to occupy Gaza. See for example The Times’ report, headlined “President Biden warns Israel against occupying Gaza” (link, paywalled) or the DT’s report, headlined “Biden says Israel reoccupying Gaza would be ‘big mistake’.” (paywalled link).

Here’s the strange thing though: Mr Biden didn’t say what would happen if Israel were to disregard this warning. He does warble about the Two-States solution and of course warns that Israel should not attack innocent civilians. This demand has been taken up by other western politicians, for example by the German Foreign Secretary (paywalled link, in German).

In addition, the blogosphere is heaving with article after article ‘explaining’ that it’s all the fault of Israel anyway and that the atrocities which were reported on October 7th were false flags or fake. Isn’t it utterly astonishing how powerful these shadowy providers of false flags and fake news must be when they can get Hamas themself to publish photos and videos on social media while getting Israelis to “play victim” in those videos!

This shouldn’t really be a surprise because, thanks to the covid years, more and more people across the West have learned to mistrust their governments with their nudge units and their mouthpieces, formerly known as MSM. And then there’s AI, now being used everywhere – so why not here as well?

What I find utterly surprising though is the black hole in the memories of governments and editors in the media. We’ve had the same scenario in 2008, with Hamas sending rockets into Israel and Israel going on to retaliate. Even the accusations of ‘Israel uses white phosphorus’ are the same, as are the demands to please be kind to innocent Gazans and the inevitable photos and reports of palestinian children suffering. The Two State solution was talked about then, as it was in the mid 1990s.

And here we are again. Is there no institutional memory in the various foreign offices of the Western nations? Does nobody in the various newsrooms of the Western MSM look at their archives? Apparently not … Perhaps it’s not a lack of institutional memory but a conscious decision of burying those memories?

One thing however has changed, here and in the EU: since 2015, every European country with two exceptions has taken in thousands of ‘poor refugees’ from islamic countries. The various terrorist attacks during those years since 2008 – Paris, Berlin, Manchester, Stockholm, to name but the largest which were truly atrocious – have clearly made western governments so jittery that they do not dare to look ‘islamophobic’ by condemning Hamas.

Our lot here in Westminster, aided and abetted by the prominence on the Islington dinner circuit, are uttering bland and feeble words. A very few were looking at how it was possible for antisemitism to grow so much that Jewish schools now need police presence to protect those children. Yes, well – many of us have warned of the creeping islamisation of districts, towns and cities, only to be called racist bigots.

In Germany, there is at least a debate about the pernicious connections between left-green ‘cultural prominence’ and antisemitism. Here there’s nothing. I would like to hear from our own wonderful left-green politicians and editors how they can reconcile their support for all things gender and LGB-Alphabet groups, issues utterly rejected by islam, with their overt and covert support for that religion!

That’s all I have for today. It gives me no joy to watch our politicians twist and turn, our MSM editors turn and twist, all trying to look ever so fair and inoffensive. Clearly, they haven’t learned from history that terrorists will terrorise, regardless of ‘official’ appeasement. Have a good day.
