Here be the blood-sucking bosses forcing our angels-in-blue to strike for their daily crust

We’d better prepare now for the dire winter months ahead, covid or no covid. Not only will the angels-in-blue go on strike on two days in December, the GPs are demanding that their working times be cut.

Let’s look at the nurses first. They had asked that their salaries be raised by 19%. Their strike is meant to get ‘the government’ to comply:

“The first national strikes by nurses could see thousands more elderly patients stuck in hospital for Christmas, experts have warned. The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) will stage the first-ever national walkout on December 15 and 20 after ministers said demands for a 19 per cent pay rise were “not affordable”. The action – likely to involve around half of hospitals – could see 30,000 operations and hundreds of thousands of outpatient appointments postponed. The union has promised to protect urgent and emergency care, with action restricted to other services. […] The RCN said it was calling strikes after the UK Government turned down its offer of formal, detailed negotiations as an alternative to industrial action.” (paywalled link)

I’m sure we’re all on the side of those angels-in-blue! Let’s disregard the effect this strike will have on the sacred NHS, never mind the general health of us plebs. After all, ‘the government’ has money and they only need to talk to the trade unions and hand it out! Here’s the official wail where I detect a whiff of ‘the Tories are killing Our NHS’:

“The RCN said that despite a pay rise of around £1,400 awarded in the summer, experienced nurses are worse off by 20 per cent in real terms due to successive below-inflation awards since 2010.”  (paywalled link)

Below-inflation awards since 2010? When the NHS budget has been rising year-on-year? Perhaps it’s not ‘the government’ the RNC ought to have addressed but their admin bosses who distribute the money, employing all those box-ticking ‘health managers’?

According to the RNC general secretary, it’s the fault of the government because in the two weeks since nurses had voted for strike action ministers ‘declined their offer of formal negotiations’. See – the nurses only want to talk about getting more money, they strike with great reluctance, it’s not their fault that they do. Their general secretary Pat Cullen, said:

“Nursing staff have had enough of being taken for granted, enough of low pay and unsafe staffing levels, enough of not being able to give our patients the care they deserve.” (paywalled link)

I’ll just leave that sentence hang in the air … So strike it is then, and who cares that the waiting lists will grow even longer. There’s also this:

“The date of the first strike – sandwiched between a series of RMT train strikes – means it is likely to be the peak time for office Christmas parties, adding to the strain on A&E departments. Bed pressures normally rise during December until a week before Christmas when the number of patients falls by around 10,000 amid desperate efforts to get patients home. The absence of thousands of nurses at “crunch points” could mean thousands more patients remain stuck in hospital for want of help to discharge them.” (paywalled link)

After that strike the NHS can wail a bit more about ‘bed blockers’, all those useless elderly, and ask for ‘moar money’. On top of this the GPs are also on the warpath. The Times reports:

“GPs will lobby the government to cut their core hours to 9am to 5pm after statistics showed that hundreds of surgeries were still conducting less than half of appointments face to face. The figures from NHS Digital also showed a fall in the proportion of consultations happening on the day they were requested. A fifth were delayed by more than two weeks.” (link, paywalled)

Clearly, sick people still cannot see their GPs. To ‘alleviate’ this, GPs want their ‘core hours’ cut. Makes sense, no? It’s even worse – see this report in the DM:

“But at the annual conference of England’s local medical committees (LMCs) on Thursday, GPs complained that the current working arrangements are ‘patriarchal’ and do not consider those with children, voting overwhelmingly to campaign for an earlier closing time.” (link)

It’s so patriarchal that the GPs quoted are all male … But never mind that now. This is about making: “the profession more appealing to working parents, they warned there would continue to be an exodus of GPs without change.”You might like to check out the full report in the DM (link) which has some very interesting graphs! Scrolling down past all those graphs, there is a significant quote by one of those GP organisers (my emphasis):

Dr Sharrock said GPs must be prepared to support industrial action if the Government does not cut their bureaucracy and increase flexibility during contract negotiations next year. […] Speaking at the Local Medical Committee England conference in London, he said: ‘We need activists in every LMC who can build support and understanding of industrial action, so we can turn back on the light at the end of the tunnel.’ “ (link)

Yes, let’s have ‘GP activists’ who obviously can’t see patients while they’re doing activist work. and prepare for ‘strike action’. ‘Activists’ is a code for ‘lefty agitators’. I think there are some such activists already around, as that accusation of ‘patriarchism’ implies. I am only surprised that they haven’t said that it’s ‘white’ patriarchism.

I leave you with something completely different. As the Western World, in the form of their MSM and NGOs, is preoccupied with Alphabet groups and their activities, especially in schools, see this report:

“MOSCOW, November 24. /TASS/. The Russian State Duma at its Thursday session approved the third reading of a bill introducing substantial fines for propaganda promoting non-traditional sexual relations, pedophilia and information capable of inducing gender reassignment surgery. Previously, the Russian Code of administrative violations provided only for liability for LGBT propaganda among minors but now these provisions have been substantially expanded. […] With the Federation Council’s approval and following its signing by the Russian president, the law will become effective on the day of its official publication.” (link)

Apparently, our Alphabet group activists and our glorious MSM haven’t quite digested this piece of news. Perhaps they’ll say that it just goes to show what a terrible country Russia is, under that terrible dictator Putin, where ‘free speech’ is forbidden. These are the same groups which declare even the faintest criticism of their activities as ‘hate speech’.

I do wonder though if Russia doesn’t have a point, that they’re correct in protecting their children. See this photo I received from the friend of one of our authors, taken in a street in Auckland, NZ. Words fail me:

Aren’t you glad we live in a country where we peasants must bow to Alphabet groups for fear of being accused of ‘hate speech’. Aren’t you glad we live in a country where we plebs better be afraid, very afraid, of becoming ill in the coming months! ‘Clown World’ doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Keep well, stock up on patent medicines, if available in pharmacies, and have a nice day!
