“Be afraid, be very afraid” – you know you can’t live without fear!

 

Can one become addicted to living in a state of fear, I wonder, because headlines this morning ‘warn’ about snow, lots of snow., and cold. We find ‘fear reports’  in our MSM,  the BC making it their top item online, using the same beautiful photo of a ‘him/her/it’ on skies which is gracing the front page of the DT (paywalled link). The DT accompanies their report with fear of ‘black-outs and power cuts’ which ‘might’ happen. Comment posts are scathing: ‘It’s winter, you muppets’ says it all.

The funny thing is that the concerned MSM ‘reporters’ don’t ask why there should be ‘chaos on the roads’ when we’re still in Lockdown. The warning about potential black-outs is however intriguing. It’s surely counter-productive regarding the coming ‘green transformation’ which is becoming the next ‘Big Thing’, with coercion similar to lockdowns on the cards. So – if this country cannot be expected to cope during a few days of winter weather, how are we going to cope when there are no power stations left because of ‘Zero CO2’? How will people be able to WFH when there’s no wind-powered electricity generated, when overland power lines are down, when the sun ain’t shining?

But let’s not ask such inconvenient questions – “we” must be kept in an abject state of fear, or rather: the combined ‘reporters’ in our MSM have become incapable of looking below the surface of such news because they copy from each other without ever asking ‘is this true?’. Older dwellers in these here green and pleasant lands remember that yes, there were cold spells in previous winters, for decades, and that yes, an inch or two of snow on the roads always produced ‘snow chaos’ because ‘it never snows here’ so why prepare for winter!

There are the daily covid reports, of course,which are meant to keep us fearful. That anyone actually dares to step outside their doors, what with ‘covid’ and ‘snow chaos’, is surely a miracle! Perhaps people have stopped watching telly and reading the papers? Still, ‘Our MSM’ and their masters, the Covid emperors, are doing their utmost to keep us frightened. There are for example the ‘Whitehall sources’ who are thinking out loud that perhaps it is legal for employers to insist on a ‘no jab – no job’ policy:

“Whitehall sources believe that companies who adopt a “jab for a job” stance are protected by current health and safety laws which require workers to protect not only themselves, but also colleagues from harm. One government source said: “If someone is working in an environment where people haven’t been vaccinated, it becomes a public health risk. Health and safety laws say you have to protect other people at work, and when it becomes about protecting other people the argument gets stronger.” (paywalled link)

Remember what we – and belatedly Dishi Rishi – said about the covidians in government shifting the goalposts? There it is, in a new variation: “we” must not only ‘protect you-know-what’, “we” must now also protect other people at work. Now isn’t that a noble aim! However, those ‘sources’ have left a little loophole, because “Teh Science” might not be that clear:

“If there is clear evidence that vaccines prevent transmission, the next stage is to make sure more and more people are taking up the vaccine.” (paywalled link)

And indeed, there’s no ‘clear evidence’ for this, as of yet. However, we read that the vaccine promoters in government are now claiming that “we” might well need a covid jab in autumn as well, to ‘boost’ the current jabs so many have now received. They ponder this because it now turns out that the Oxford jab “may not be able to prevent mild and moderate illnesses caused by the South African variant.” (link, paywalled). I wonder if those scientists think the virus will generously refrain from mutating, waiting until autumn, for the Oxford group to created a ‘new’ vaccine by then? Never fear – until then “we” have a good method to stop any new mutant:

“Scientists said the findings suggested that even if the vaccine stopped severe illness it will be unable to prevent transmission of the variant. If the “surge testing” programme fails to contain the variant then vaccines targeting it will be needed in the autumn, they said.” (link, paywalled)

Yes, it’s only Test & Trace which prevents any covid deaths! Also, note well that here’s acknowledgement of something lockdown-sceptic scientists have been pointing out, namely that all those vaccines available so far are meant to reduce the severity of the infection and that it’s unknown if they stop transmission at all. That should surely make those think again who cry that ‘no jab – no job’ is perfectly legal. No, I also don’t think they will desist … As ‘antidote’ to this latest instrument in the armory of the covid-fear merchants, I recommend an excellent article by Professor Hugh Pennington in the DM (link) and there’s always the Newsletter by Lockdown Sceptics (link).

Let’s hope that somehow the argument of us ‘having to live with the virus’ will penetrate the minds of the lockdownians. After all, the ‘vaccine minister’ Zahawi and one of the SAGEs, Van-Tam, have said that

“[…] probably an annual or a booster in the autumn and then an annual vaccination” would be needed. Zahawi said that this would be done “in the way we do with flu vaccinations, where you look at what variant of virus is spreading around the world, you rapidly produce a variant of vaccine, and then begin to vaccinate and protect the nation”. Zahawi even thinks that perhaps “we” could take a pill rather than have a jab (paywalled link) – isn’t the technological future wonderful! Mind you, there’s till the problem of the slow to non-existent uptake of vaccination by the BAME communities. We’re now told that this ain’t because they’re ‘vaccine-sceptics’ – I mention in passing that I’m amazed that nobody dares label them ‘anti-vaxxers’! – but ’tis because they’re reluctant to take time off work, that:

“there’s the question of whether sites are in the right place. Some people are worried about coming on public transport, especially among the groups we’re currently dealing with, because they’re the most vulnerable ones.” (link, paywalled)

Clearly, they need money to alleviate their fears  – and why not! The teachers unions are now demanding a pay rise – never mind they had one a year ago already – and are confident they’ll get it because they see themselves as clear victors:

“The National Education Union (NEU) is including pay rises in “key demands” and bosses have said that any reduction in class sizes should be “long-term” – not just for social distancing. Union leaders have congratulated their members for closing down schools, claiming that it was their threats to not turn up to class, as opposed to the scientific data, which led to Boris Johnson ordering that children should stay at home last month.” (paywalled link)

It’s surely strange that ‘Our MSM’ who have been bewailing the fate of our children caused by lockdown – and rightly so! – are so reluctant to point their mighty MSM fingers at the teachers unions! It’s surely odd that the many WFH ‘mums’ who’ve complained about the hardship they suffer by having to look after and teach their kids while being ‘at work’ in their home office, are so remarkably reluctant to take on the teachers unions. See this next:

“NEU bosses described the pandemic as a “turning point” in the power of teachers over the Government, […] NEU officials want to return to schools when it is safe, but have rejected the Government’s proposals at every turn. They recently claimed that vaccinating teachers would not be enough to get back to the classroom.” (paywalled link)

Indeed no – what the teachers need is ‘moar dosh’, because doing ‘livestream lessons’ is too much hard work for which they clearly need recompense! Their representatives are told to:

“secure a commitment to automatic pay progression at the end of this academic year. Where possible, win a commitment for this policy to be permanent”. (paywalled link)

Shameless doesn’t even begin to describe it! I bet that civil service unions will demand a similar automatic pay progression because WFH is so very demanding!

I leave you with news that “we” have the money to offer a ‘free jab’ to all those illegal immigrants who will get an ‘amnesty’ from the Home Office if they come forward – all 1.3m of them:

“The unprecedented move is aimed at helping Britain to reach herd immunity and accelerate the easing of lockdown. ‘The moral in this is that everyone needs to get the jab, for everyone’s safety,’ a Whitehall source said.” (link). 

God forbid anyone now goes and blames those poor refugees for prolonging the lockdown – that would be racist! We’re not racist – how can “we” when ‘Historic England’ has spent so much work during lockdown on producing an 157-page ‘audit’, tracing:

“hundreds of sites around Britain with links to the slave trade, including schools, farms, pubs and gravestones. Historic England said the research “identified the tangible presence of England’s slavery past in buildings, houses, streets, industrial heritage, urban fabrics and rural landscapes”. Obviously, “we” must forthwith creep around in sack and ashes for shame and best demolish all those sites. Perhap then we can start to demolish all the rest of our buildings which were created during the times when serfdom was the norm in our country.

Let’s not ask though about modern-day slavery. Let’s not think about the forthcoming creation of a new feudal society where we plebs will finally be put into our place, into our hovels, thanks to the serfdom which increased taxation will produce. It’ll be ‘The State’ which owns us though, not some feudal lords, and the ‘class of clerics’ will be the modern church of public serpents, from teachers to mandarins. 

Meanwhile, let’s keep warm, let’s keep our heating going and our lights on while we still can afford it and let’s refuse to be frightened!
