We need a Covid Martin Luther – now!

On this day, precisely 503 years ago, a certain Martin Luther, doctor of Theology, nailed his 95 theses to the door of the All Saints Church in Wittenberg, Germany. These theses were a theological accusation addressed to the Pope, Rome and the whole Catholic Church. We all know what happened next. Certainly we’d not have had Elizabeth I ‘Gloriana’ without that event which kicked off the Reformation.

Today, with the main news about BJ planning a second National Lockdown, starting from Wednesday next week (according to gossip, i.e. ‘senior sources’), I desperately wish for a ‘Covid Martin Luther’ in this country! Surely there must be one amongst the eminent clinicians and scientists who point out, day after day, that the ‘scare numbers’, peddled by SAGE and the Covid MSM, do not represent the reality!

The ‘powers’, the kings and emperors in Luther’s days, were in thrall to the Pope and to his edicts. Today the politicians are in thrall to the Covid-mad scientists who present models and projections as if they were indisputable edicts, not to be doubted by pain of death – ‘covid death’ of the whole nation, that is. As in any other case of mass hysteria, facts simply do not matter, as this quote shows:

“Mr Johnson is understood to have been persuaded that a national lockdown is the only way to save Christmas, and will spend the weekend contemplating exactly how severe it should be. [..] The alternative to a national lockdown would be a fourth tier of restrictions on top of the existing three tier system, but government scientists now believe even Tier 3 is not enough to stop the spread of infections.” (paywalled link)

“Government scientists now believe” – yes, it’s again about projections, about models, about ‘numbers’. It’s not about actual, clinical data –  not that we even have a proper set of data because there’s still, after nine months, no actual definition of who died with or from covid. The data are always coming in much later than the modellers’ projections so they can never be refuted.

Those modellers though have become adept at playing to the fears of the PM and the Covid MSM. Here’s how they do it:

“The analysis from the Joint Biosecurity Centre was measured, forensic and “terribly, terribly bleak”. On Thursday morning ministers on the Covid-19 operations committee were presented with a series of heatmaps showing the spread of coronavirus across different age groups in the north. “The maps ranged from orange to black, with black showing the highest number of confirmed cases,” one government source said. “Every age group was black, including the over-sixties. They were talking about hospitalisations exceeding the peak of the first wave by early next month. It is awful.” (link, paywalled)

Words fail me! Black everywhere, thanks to that trick of producing ‘heat maps’, and out ‘governing betters’ are scared out of their scientifically illiterate minds! We remember such ‘heat maps’ were used by the climate alarmists, coloured in lurid purples, to show that we’re all gonna be boiled. It doesn’t matter that these predictions haven’t come true. It’s the scare images that were important.  And so the SAGE wannabe popes have dusted down that old method: how scientific! 

Whitehall mandarins and the cabinet at No 10 have been properly scared by the SAGE mini-popes and their cardinals in the Joint Biosecurity centre. They have obviously not dared to listen to any of the evidence collected by other scientists not blinded by covid. I only need to mention Professor Carl Henegan at the CEBM.

Those ‘senior sources’, gossiping to the Covid MSM, obviously believe that ‘my professors’ are greater than yours because they are ‘government scientists’. Just like in 1517, ‘The Pope’ and his ‘cardinals’, i.e. SAGE and the Joint Biosecurity Centre, have spoken and must be obeyed. Moreover, these ‘government scientists’ are shamelessly playing on the emotions of politicians and indeed the nation:

“The Times has been told that under one projection being studied by Downing Street the number of deaths will have a “massive spike” on Christmas Eve.” (link, paywalled)

Ooooh – Christmas! “Do you, PM, want to be held responsible for ‘deaths at Christmas’?’ No? Then follow us. Otherwise you’ll burn in covid hell!”. Yes, that’s the ‘choice’ SAGE offers the PM. For them, it’s irrelevant that the tier-3-lockdown in Merseyside has already led to a ‘flattening of the curve’ – no, “we” need that lockdown now, regardless, and ‘doing a Nicola’ by adding a fourth tier won’t suffice:

They don’t say why ‘Teh Infection!’ would still spread, even in the face of contradictory evidence based on clinical data – but here’s a clue why some of those covid mini-popes believe it must be done:

“However, some cabinet ministers and senior scientific advisers believe it is inevitable that Britain will follow France into lockdown. Matt Hancock, the health secretary, is said to be among those who believe a national lockdown will be needed “sooner than later”. (link, paywalled)

Yes, do as that wannabe Napoleon does – such valid ‘scientific’ argument. Make no mistake, “we”, the peasants, are being prepared for a beautiful political sleight-of-hands. It’s about saving BJ’s skin on the one hand and painting halos around the SAGE mini-popes’ heads on the other. We’re also told by gossiping ‘senior sources’ that even a two-week ‘circuit break’ won’t be enough because ‘it’s too late anyway’.  So – no Christmas then, even if BJ does now what the SAGE mini-popes tell him to:

“A strict lockdown for a fortnight would not be enough to cut coronavirus infections to a manageable level, senior government scientific advisers said, as a new survey found a steep rise in cases. “It’s definitely too late to think that [a] two-week circuit breaker on its own would sort us out . . . It almost certainly would need to go on for longer,” a source said. “This is going in the wrong direction and it [has been] for a while. If the trajectory doesn’t change, you end up with hospitals under pressure.” (link, paywalled)

New surveys? Only those done by government-sanctioned scientists count, and the need to be frightening. ‘Hospitals under pressure’? Their wards and ICUs surely must be heaving by now when we read this estimate:

“Data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) released yesterday showed a steep rise in cases with more than 560,000 people estimated to have had coronavirus in England last week.” (link, paywalled)

So where are the photos like the ones we’ve seen from Bergamo, Italy, in March? Don’t even ask why ‘Our Sacred Covid Cow’ hasn’t been preparing for such 2nd wave, following that famous ‘precautionary principle’! Perhaps all those SAGE models aren’t providing a proper picture after all? See this:

“Covid-19 rates are not surging, researchers at King’s College have said after results from its symptom tracker app showed a far less deadly virus trajectory than Imperial College findings. […] King’s College – which has been monitoring the symptoms and test results of millions of people through its app – said it was not seeing such alarming numbers. Yes, it’s yet another model, but this one clearly doesn’t produce ‘black heat maps’. So – disregard, yes? Better rely on the famous ‘case numbers’ detected by that fabulous T&T. How they are being detected is anyone’s guess, given the reports from various non-government sources that test centres across the country are empty, no test ‘customers’ to be seen. There’s more:

“Commenting on the disparities between the groups, Professor James Naismith [Oxford] said it was difficult to determine which group’s figures were the most accurate. “What is concerning is the numbers and trajectories reported by these three surveys differ significantly from the average of 18,000 detected by track and trace system.” (paywalled link)

Well, yes, Professor – but why not ask if it’s acceptable to compare actual data, even when based just on T&T,  with models and projections which are patently not based on actual data, such as hospital trust might provide if they were permitted to? So we’re back to T&T. Let’s not ask if those tests give us data of people actually sick with covid. We know it’s about getting the data of everybody because being ‘asymptomatic’ means we’re all covid lepers. 

I leave you with news that “we” will soon get even more scary ‘case numbers’, showing that we’re actually all sick without knowing it:

“Soldiers will be deployed to carry out a mass coronavirus testing programme in six northern towns as part of Boris Johnson’s “moonshot” to avoid a second national lockdown. The saliva-based tests will be offered to people whether they have Covid-19 symptoms or not. They will receive the results in half an hour.” (link, paywalled)

Yes, this is the ‘moonshot’, with over 500,000 people planned to be tested per week. Watch the scare case numbers shoot up! Moar lockdown needed, verdure! No, we’re reassured, our squaddies won’t knock on our doors – this test will be mailed out. There’s nothing said about how to make us peasants comply though. There is however this:

“The biggest issue is the sensitivity,” Lawrence Young, professor of molecular oncology at Warwick Medical School, said. “For people in the acute phase of infection, who are symptomatic, they seem to be adequate. But there’s a big question mark over whether these tests would actually detect asymptomatic infection. And we all believe that that’s a major source of the spread.” (link, paywalled)

Yes, that’s how it works: scientists ‘believe’, i.e. have no proof, that asymptomatic people actually are the true lepers. Get everybody tested, never mind that even this latest wonder-test may not catch those dreadful, asymptomatic ‘spreaders’. therefore, ’tis better to be safe than sorry and lock down the whole country – you know it makes sense because the SAGE mini-popes say so. 

Where is the Covid-Martin Luther? We need him now, before it’s too late. As for celebrating Christmas – the outlook is bleak, ‘black-heat map’ bleak.
